Last game of the season...it's always bittersweet. We have a tradition every season for our last game where the kids play against their parents. We started this years ago and have stuck with it ever since. It's something that I love to do because it truly gets our parents involved and the kids absolutely love it! It's a great bonding experience for them. It's one whole hour where the kids have their parents' undivided attention. I love watching the kids go up against their parents and watching the parents act like kids again. It's truly a wonderful moment to watch.

DK is one of our biggest sponsors. Without questions, he lovingly writes a check to our league to support us season after season. His money has provided scholarships for numerous kiddos who may not have been able to play otherwise. He is such a kind hearted gentleman. The most amazing thing about this man, is that he does this for us without ever meeting me. He's never been to a game, he's never met any of our other parents, other than our assistant coach, who works for him, never even spoken to me on the phone. He just does it. It just shows that there's still good in this world. Thank you, DK!

One from the archives…this was from a couple of years ago. We were The Lil Tykes Soccer Program back then. We had only a handful of kids compared to how we’ve grown now. Some of these kiddos are still with us and have grown so much in their soccer journey. I am so proud of them and appreciate them sticking with me and this league!

These are my children and I am so proud of them! Even though my daughter doesn’t always enjoy being out there, she still comes and she still plays. She may goof around sometimes, but she is so proud of herself when she plays well and receives Player of the Game. My son is a rockstar on the field. He is so skilled with the ball and moves down the field with such ease. I can just imagine my grandfather standing on the sidelines with that huge smile of his, beaming with pride as he watched them. I know he’s watching them wherever he is now.

I have a little one in my 4U league who truly makes my day when I see him at practice every week. He calls me his favorite Coach Stacy and he is my favorite Johnny Hill. After every practice, he hugs me and tells me “thank you for a good practice”. It melts my heart every time and reminds me of why I do what I do.
He recently had a birthday and invited me to his party. Due to some personal issues at home, I could only stay for a short while, but made every effort possible to still come. I missed singing him Happy Birthday and watching him blow out his birthday candles. I also missed being able to be given a party favor…succulents lovingly planted in “trash” (this kid LOVES trash trucks).
Last night, I received a text from his mom that there was something for me on my front porch. When I went outside, I saw that they had made a special trip to my house to bring me a slice of his brownie cake, succulents (My favorite!), and a picture of my favorite Johnny Hill! My night was complete…😊
