As the creator of HouseToHomePros.com I've been putting in long hours since I started building the site mid September 2018, launching it November 17th. I then created and launched the app in January. I get up early every morning with coffee in hand and start working. I wear all the hates from website designer, search engine optimizer, social media poster, content admin, tech support for clients helping them post their business profiles on the site. We are growing fast and at some point I will need to bring on some tech savvy help. In addition to my 14 to 16 hour days I still run my other companies. When to hire a handyman

When a home-repair projects is beyond a homeowner's knowledge or expertise, he or she might want to consider hiring a handyman.

A handyman can knock some projects off your never-ending honey-do list.  A handyman usually is skilled in several aspect of construction and can tackle several of your projects and typically cost less then a specialist,.

Whether it is a painting, plumbing, electrical, or simply replacing smoke detectors, a handyman can get work done for you and normally with a pretty quick time frame. In addition to the knowledge they have all the tools needed that most home owners do not have to make the projects easier to accomplish.

Most handymen have a policy of no project too big or too small for them to tackle – whether it be reconstructing an entire room or fixing a leaky faucet. Many handymen have a specialty that is their forte. Search for handymen near you to find out what their specialty is and whether they have experience handling your project list. Many handymen have a list of their work and testimonials posted on their websites. If they don't have a website, they should be able to provide you with references and have reviews available online.

You also want some assurances that your costs are not going to rise because the handyman miscalculated his estimate. Also understand unforeseen conditions can arise that the handyman nor you could have possibly foreseen. For example opening a wall to find out the framing lumber is complete termite damaged or dry-rotted and need replaced. Most handyman will mention in their work order unforeseen conditions and if this arises should stop work discuss the issue and provide you will a new estimate to repair the additional damages. If that additional work is agreed upon provide you with a change order to be paid for the additional work. There should never be a surprise bill at the end.  

Get at least three estimates from handymen for a project. You don't have to go with the lowest bidder, especially if you don't have confidence in or a good feeling about him, but you want to make sure that the individual you choose for the work is in the ballpark of other estimates.

Remember in most states a handyman is not required to have a contractors licence and most general contractors can not do small jobs unless it covers three phases of a job. Instead of hiring three separate people to do each little job, a handyman can usually do all three jobs for a fraction of the price.

What is Mold?

Molds are organisms that may be found indoors and outdoors. They are part of the natural environment and play an important role in the environment by breaking down and digesting organic material, such as dead leaves.
