Ahem. I know I haven’t updated this space in forever, but letting people know that I am alive and well. I’m applying for Kawaii Kon 2023, since it have yet to hear to any news of Amazing Comic Con coming back to Hawaii.  I wanted to upload some of my newer work since I’ve neglected uploading :)

This was a compilation of art done for Amazing Comic Con in 2020.

Its been a year since I posted anything, but here is a collage of prints that I didn’t get to sell when the stupid Hurricane Lane cancelled Amazing Comic Con 2018 in Hawaii.  Tried to settle into doing portraits instead of overwhelming myself with anatomy and things.  I’m still struggling with what I want to say about the subject of the portrait tho :<  I’ll be attending Amazing Comic Con in February 2019 and Kawaii Kon 2019!

amazing comic con Hawaii 2017

I forgot to say that I'm at amazing Hawaii comic con, at table m2 by the main stage! come find me and say hi~~!! (thank you to all the peeps that said hi already, feel free to come back and talk story!)

This years last minute painting before going to the printing company is Dany from Game of Thrones.  First time painting a tiny dragon, wheee!  This was originally gonna be a doodle/study to try out a new technique and brushes, but it morphed into something decent that I decided to print for Amazing Comic Con 2017.  I wish I had more time to do more headshots of more people from Game of Thrones!

I finally painted my own character for once!  Her name is Ellipses, and is one of the main characters in the story I am creating called “The Untitled Project”.  I hope to reveal more about her world in the future :D

Real talk here, Gal Godot is a beautiful woman and she is just loosely referenced in this painting.  I really loved the renaissance inspired paintings they did in the Wonder Woman movie, and I wanted to reference that here- but it didn’t turn out as planned (as usual, lol my skill lvl is not there yet dammit).  I also really wanted to paint a knee but GOSH DARN IT WOW KNEES ARE HARD TO PAINT WHO WOULD HAVE THUNK

Painted Rey for Amazing Comic Con 2017...!  First time really attempting a background, I really loved those cold greens of that island where Luke likes to play hermit.  I wonder if Rey was enamored with all the green she saw.  I bet it got old really quickly though xD  Its also readily apparent that I don’t know how the heck to paint water.  ITS SO BLOODY HARD WHAT THE HECK AM I DOING ALL I WANTED WAS A LIGHTSABER GLOW REFLECTED IN THE WATER THATS LITERALLY IT

Genji, the problematic little shit of this year's batch for Kawaii Kon 2017. And of course I don't paint my main but this jumping weaboo dork. (Just kidding, I do like his character a lot...! but man I can't unsee some of his design now haha!) This didn’t turn out how I wanted it to, still came out a bit too stiff...I think I really need to work on gestures to give it more energy.

I managed to give a print of this to Dante Basco (voice actor for Zuko), who came down to Kawaii Kon 2017!  

Zuko’s redemption was a really fascinating thing to see in Avatar.  One scene that I loved was Zuko’s confrontation with Iroh in the jail cell.  Even though Zuko is visiting an imprisoned Iroh, Zuko is the one who looks like he’s behind bars through brilliant composition and perspective.  That scene was the inspiration for this piece.

Accidentally painted Dva the night before I had to go to the printing company for Kawaii Kon 2017 (as per tradition, lol).  I don’t know how the heck to play her, but her design really grew on me the more I looked at her xD  Overwatch has been great fun to play and I really need to draw more fan art for it!  I still need to draw my main boi Lucio cuz BOOP BOOP MOTHERFUCKERS

Did another Avatar picture for Kawaii Kon 2017 back in..May?  I didn’t upload it here because I’m a terrible person.  Managed to give this print to Janet Varney (Korra’s voice actress), who was amazing and actually posted her gift to her instagram (which was low key embarrassing because my handwriting is atrocious and I wrote an equally embarrassing note)!  This was one of my favorites from this years batch for Kawaii Kon 2017, and was the one that was completed first and had the least trouble with matching up to what was in my head~ Always loved the sort of duality and contradictory nature of the Avatar- both one person and yet shares the spirit of many, is both forever yet mortal, etc.  There is a simplicity and mysteriousness about the avatar that I also wanted to represent in this piece.

Surprise I’m not dead!  Just super lazy/busy/sick this past year...I’m a terrible person and I haven’t been uploading things here because honestly, I haven’t been painting much.  If I didn’t have convention deadlines, I wouldn’t finish any pieces...!  Anyway, warning you peeps of incoming spam~

I’m alive I really am, I just haven’t been able to paint because I’m going through job training...!  I just get really exhausted by the time I get home and then I only have time to eat, clean, and then its bed time Dx   Also, all the stuff that’s happening on the news just makes me so depressed.  I hope all you guys are safe out there...

I miss painting Pentatonix, and man have they grown over the years!  I’ve been wanting to do a series of portraits of Pentatonix with a bit of a fantasy theme~!  This is the WIP for the ever fabulous Queen Mitch (all bow down cuz damn boy can saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang~~~~~)  the writing is to deter ppl from stealing my work in progresses, cuz come on guys really Dx
