au concept: undertale fun value

basically what if fun value was more like a minecraft seed system n affected game more

first playthrough will always be classic undertale, same for the all neutral routes after that... it will be until pressing "true reset" or "erase" button, depending on what route you chose. after that fun value will be set to random

randomization of fun value happens only after "true pacifist" n "genocide" routes

only way to not get random fun value (in game, w/out changing files) is to use different names w/ preset value. e.g CHARA will always set fun value to all 0 (except for last 2 digits, they r for easter eggs), which is classic undertale

names that r connected to other souls (colours or traits short names) will result in shuffling of weapons n armor locations, as well as their stats and ACT menu

joke versions of character names gives fun value w/ different lvl off brainrot

FRISK is still unfinished hardmod

some values can make characters remember previous timelines, n depending on what routes you did before, what is current route is, n how many routes before current one they will react to you differently. some of those values only gives characters ability to remember only current neutral routes (including aborted routes) (staying in "remembering" values can make some parts of fun value permanent) :)

what if killer was never abducted by nightmare n pressing erase button did nothing? like how true reset can be pressed only after getting to surface, erase can be pressed at lv 20. and until this condition is met, erase button is just a fancy png lol

so. killer is found by guards few hours later, brought home, n given therapy (not very successful, but still)

If I remember correctlyin canon, Killer reset his au and was then planning to commit suicide. He then got kidnapped by Nightmare.

This means. Killer has a papyrus.

A papyrus who's brother seemingly disappeared overnight with no explanation or hints as to where he is.

Yeah this is gonna be me talking about Killer's papyrus and how I interpret him.

I feel like first things first. When the AU got reset something happened due to Killer's special code and him being entirely missing.

This being.

Any proof or memory of sans ever existing being removed.

His jobs? Taken by other people. His room? A clean guest bedroom.

No one has any recollection of him.

Except papyrus.

His memories are vague, but he finds sans's old lab and a picture of him that proves he existed.

Papyrus pulls a Stanley/Stanford and tries to reverse engineer sans's machine in his lab + learns engineering + astrophysics over the course of multiple years to find his brother, after learning of the multiverse theory and him thinking that that could be where he went.

After around 8 ish years (he's now around 35) he fixes the machine and takes supplies with him.

His personality has already changed by that point, from how stuff is in general (being the only one who remembers sans, having to basically be alone in this, having to learn all of these things with the stress of having to look normal)

He's more tired and rough, less happy.

Also also his name is noir like noir movies

Along the way of searching many AUs, he ends up 'hiring' an Underfell papyrus (through normal means. Trust.) to go with him and help with the search.

THIS. IS. SO. COOL.

People often forget (or don't know) that Killer's AU remained intact after his kidnapping. And Papyrus would certainly go after his missing brother, or, actually, this stranger he feels some phantom affection for - the memories are so vague, so blurry that Papyrus even thinks they were dreams, figments of his imagination.

And all I can think about is how suffocating and lonely it is to deal with this alone - and even though Papyrus has friends he can count on, he feels alone, because no one believes that this "Sans" guy exists.

Now I'm going to throw my own headcanon here and say that the Alphys in Something New would help Papyrus (for me, she was the closed to sans after papyrus, since they are lab partners for a long time, and because of that, she still miss him somehow, something is off about the place where Sans should be for her).

AND YES! Fell Papyrus would definitely be one of those who would help Noir find his Sans back. In this house we believe that Fell Papyrus is an excellent brother, and would never turn his back on someone who could be him in another universe - even tho they would probably fight like a lot because of Noir paranoia and disillusioning visions of a life he will never get back.
