4 Reasons to Forget What You Know About Tuft & Needle

For Sleepopolis ordinary readers you might already know that Tuft & Needle has not always been one of my favourite mattresses.  Just a little more than 6 months ago I was out there for a new mattress and a co-worker of mine recommended I give the Tuft & Needle a try, which I did.  All things considered, it was a good mattress and a wonderful company, but after only a few nights it was apparent that it wasn't the ideal mattress for me.  The mattress at the time was quite just too firm for my back.

But Tuft & Needle has been on the warpath these previous 6 weeks and their mattress and foam formula has turned into a complete overhaul.  Tuft & Needle listened to their own consumer feedback and went back to the drawing board.  Within the last 6 months the group at Tuft & Needle has generated more than a dozen important adjustments to the mattress covering consumer opinions, complaints, and other issues.

The end result?  An entirely new and radically improved mattress. I had the opportunity to talk with Tuft & Needle founders John-Thomas Mario & Daehee Park this past week who gave me the inside story on Amazon.com's most popular rated mattress.  So with that said, let's dive in and take a peek at the major changes to Tuft & Needle.

1.  Softer foam for improved comfort

The largest complaint, by far, that Tuft & Needle has obtained within the past several months has been about the firmness.  As I mentioned previously, the mattress was just a little too firm for me when I initially tried it.  Tuft & Needle took this feedback in their customers and started to go back to the drawing board of their foam formula.  The new foam delivered the same great support that so many have raved about on Amazon, but with considerable improvement to the softness.

2.  They construct their own foam

This one is not as much of a change, but it's so critically important, and it is something I wasn't mindful of 6 months ago.  Unlike many mattress companies Tuft & Needle does not use latex foam, Avena foam, memory foam, or some other cushioned foam.  Why?  Because they simply don't have as much control over the support and comfort of those foams.

Tuft & Needle's base isn't in design or marketing, and they do not have an army of venture capitalists backing them.  In the center they're engineers hoping to address the issues that plague the mattress industry, all from an engineer's angle.  And what do engineers want most?  Formulaic control of their product, information driven feedback from their clients, and also an experience which simply works.

Because they make their own foam they have unbelievable control over every aspect of the feel.  By changing certain factors in the formulation or massaging procedure they are able to dial in support, comfort, stability, cooling, sinkage, and virtually every other standards you can imagine.

3.  Reduced from 3 foam layers down to two layers

Hybrid foam mattresses are rather standard in the internet factory direct mattress market.  Actually, Tuft & Needle itself was something of a 3-layer hybrid mattress when they first launched.  Their newest model has gone from 3-layers down to 2.  Rather than having two separate layers, one for one and support for comfort, they have developed a foam formulation which combines these into one 3 inch layer. Why is this important? Increased cooling -- less adhesive means better venting, which improves the mattress capacity to "breathe" Reduced price -- less glue also means less raw materials needed to manufacture the mattress and also a Simpler time building, cost savings they Have the Ability to pass on to customers

4.  Better venting & enhanced cooling

Along with simply being softer, the new Tuft & Needle foam formula has been designed to promote extra cooling.  The foams draw heat away from the body as you sleep and expel the warmth through the sides and bottom, resulting in a mattress which sleeps cool immediately and constantly, even after placing down all night.The active cooling is helped by the reduced number of layers and paste in the mattress, both of which help air to flow more freely.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD VIDEOS FROM INSTAGRAM

Millions of users have uploaded tens of millions of videos to Instagram, making it the world's most popular video-sharing site.  And as you can "like" or bookmark a video so you can revisit it later, there is no way to download them to your own computer or device.

You may have your reasons for wanting to download a video.  Perhaps you inadvertently deleted the first video of the Eiffel Tower from the Parisian vacation, and the only backup you've left is the one you posted to Instagram.  Maybe there's a photograph that you absolutely love and would like to have it on your desktop .  Maybe you just really enjoyed a video.

Just because there's no download button, does not mean that you can't do it.  We found the top way to download movie from Instagram.  Some approaches are as simple as clicking a few buttons, although some require a bit more digging, but they're all relatively painless.

Note: Respect other users' videos.  Downloading a video for private enjoyment is one thing, but if you intend to repost or use it in a different fashion, get the owners' approval.  Instagram has a comprehensive section regarding copyrights.

Step 1: Navigate to Instagram's web site. Step 2: Find the Instagram picture that you want to store and click on the time-elapsed counter in the upper-right corner. Step 3: Duplicate the video's URL from the browser. Step 4: Visit download instagram videos Site. Step 5: Enter the movie's URL into box with the auto-generated Instagram link. Step 6: Click on the Download button.  After that, click the resulting Download video button to save your video.
