Why shouldn't I relapse?

Because because because. 

Because it won’t make things better. It won’t make things go away. It won’t bring you happiness. It’ll just bring you back. 

The past is the past. But don’t forget what you lost, what you had to give up. Don’t forget the nights that you spent crying. Don’t forget the emptiness, the loneliness, the self-loathing. 

Relapsing might feel like coming home but that home is like a rotting corpse. Take a moment, it might not feel like it, but you have other options. Choose another path. Find another home. Find a home that’ll keep you safe from the wind and the snow and the rain. Burn this one to the ground and never, never look back.
