322: On A White Day, Leo Goes All-Out On A Cake & Cake Detail Analysis

Looking back on this chapter, I've realized Leo didn't make a white day cake for Suya on a whim. He planned all this out from start to finish. Basically, besides baking the foundation/cake, he's planned the design of the cake and chocolate decorations on paper before hand-making chocolate molds of specific shapes and sizes himself, making sure the chocolate ganache (pretty sure he could've used pre-made chocolate to melt it but knowing Leo, he's also made the chocolate from scratch) forming in the molds don't break while freezing them before assembling them together in the cake, and that the structure must be balanced.
Design-wise as an overall, it's such a neat and sweet concept; the cake is a bed with a chocolate bed frame, a pillow in the design that Suya usually makes them, and the cream acts as the hems of the blanket with strawberries beside it. And above the bed is a slide of sorts that the chocolate-made Teddy Demons can have fun with. The slide then has a Teddy Demon face brand with Suya's signature weapon and the most I find interesting is on top is a ring of white and black chocolate circles; if you look at it closely, it's the moon phases which two chocolate Teddy Demons are staring at. If you've noticed lately in MaoYasu, instead of star eyes, sometimes Suya's eyes take the form of moon phases when something important happens. To think Leo has noticed this about her and added it as part of his cake for her with all the things she likes. How sweet of him.

'You can now play as a cat.'
I vividly remember staring dumbstruck at this bar, wondering what did I do to receive this.
You see, I hate cats.
Like REALLY HATE Cats.
Those vile creatures that always seem to stare into my soul.
Now I know why.
We literally reincarnate as a cat.
How beautiful.
Now, I am in the care of an old lady. She gives me food, takes care of me, all the things we humans do to our pets.
Really, I can't believe I was reborn as this animal.
I would've preferred to be a bird.
At least they fly.
Or maybe the afterlife, like I had expected. Or calm nothingness, where I can float for eternity.
But a bird would've been better.
You just died. You expected to just fade into nothing, go to some type of afterlife, anything. You did not except for an option bar to pop up, saying 'You can now play as a cat'.

Adele Fitzenberg, a former Christian, looked up from her desk at the window- at the view of volcanoes and lava, with cemented rock at the banks, and wondered the events that led her to hell; in a air-conditioned room, on a chair, facing a desk, writing her next book.
It all started a few years ago, after she died.
----
Adele looked at God and Lucifer arguing and questioned her life choices.
She was a devout Christian.
Ever since she was a child, her parents had drilled the concept of heaven and hell in her.
They all said the same thing- Heaven was paradise, ruled by the perfect God, where Saints go, yada yada. And of course, on the other side of the spectrum, there is Hell. Where the fallen angel named Lucifer resides. Where the sinners and devils live. The place of the damned.
But- sitting in front of these two people who called themselves God and Lucifer- she sincerely questioned the Scriptures whom her fellow Christians always heeded.
God- an old man with a messy appearance. He wore a white robe, was barefooted, and had booze bottles littered around him. Nothing like the person she visualized him as. Next to him- a human-looking young man. She only believed that that was Lucifer because of the small horns protruding from his forehead- and his complexion is red. He wore a suit and slacks, with dress shoes- all black.
"So uh-" She began, the two men turning to her. "Are you both really God and Lucifer? And can I really choose between Heaven and Hell?"
"Yeah." Lucifer replied, crossing his arms. "I know you doubt it- since the Bible preached that God is some perfect being, and I the most evil who wanted to taint the world. Truth is, this guy banished me because I irritated him. Believe it or not- God is a slacker. Free Will was actually him being lazy, and not a test. I simply wanted to establish rules and order in Heaven- but I got banished to Hell. So instead, I made Hell what I visualized Heaven to be. It's a bit toastier than Heaven- but we offer air conditioning. We have skating rings at the fifth circle, and hot springs at the second. We also have penguins at six. And cats at first."
"Hmph!" God fumed childishly. "Heaven is immensely better- and we know that! We have no rules in heaven- people are free to do whatever they want! How's that?"
"But it's chaotic." Lucifer deadpanned. "Hell, on the other hand, has order, we have a rules in place that prevents trouble from happening- while allowing the citizens have a good time. Heaven is just...chaotic."
Adele pursed her lips. "So? How do I pick?"
"You say where you want to go!" God replied. "And I suggest you pick Heaven! A place of freedom and carefree life!"
"But it's chaotic- without order." Lucifer pointed out. "You sure you wanna stay in a place like that for eternity?"
Lucifer was right. Adele did not want to stay in a place like that.
She liked rules. She liked order. Exactly what Hell was offering.
"Are you sure you're not lying?" She asked for assurance. "This is not a test of faith, right?"
"It is not." Lucifer calmly replied. "We are not lying. This is the real Heaven and Hell."
With that being assured, Adele thought hard to what she should pick. But that was very obvious already. The only worry was the thought that the two were lying to her. But after a while, she had made her choice.
"Hell. I'm going to hell." She declared.
God pouted and waved her off. "Okay...go to that boring place. Where control freaks go."
She turned to Lucifer excitedly. "So, how do we get there?"
Lucifer chuckled in amusement. "Just sign this little contact here promising that you follow the rules."
"Don't worry," He added, when she threw him a distrusting look. "There is no hidden stuff there that might be used for blackmailing. I look at all the contracts I hand out. You can even check it yourself."
Adele hummed in wariness, checking the contract five times to make sure.
"I can even make another copy if you want." Lucifer offered.
"Please do." She said, handing him back the contract.
After he printed it, she signed (But not before checking both papers another five times).
"Done." Lucifer smiled kindly. "Welcome to Hell and its nine circles."
Turns out God was a slacker and gave "Free Will" to not have to "plan" anything. He kicked out Lucifer cause he was a control freak. When you die turns out you have a choice, between a chaotic rule free Heaven or a smoothly machine operated Hell.
