Eli helps Lani fight her withdrawal.

Eli shows up in Lani’s hospital room to check on her. Eli asks if she needs him to call someone but Lani says no and begs him to keep this to himself without telling anyone how bad it is. Eli points out that she risked her life to save the other women which makes her a hero.

Eli visits Lani at the hospital.

Eli shows up in Lani’s hospital room and reveals they got the results back on the synthetic drug called Halo. Lani worries about the lives at risk with a drug like that. Eli advises Lani not to try to be a hero and then exits.

Eli and Lani become friends.

Eli goes in to the interrogation room where Lani asks if she can help him. Eli apologizes and hopes they can start over, be civil to each other and maybe be friends. Lani agrees that it would be easier than holding a grudge so they shake hands.

Eli and Lani argue at the Salem PD when Eli announces they’ll be working together.

Lani questions Eli working at the police station. Lani warns him not to get in their way. Eli mocks Lani interfering in someone's business. Eli wants to get to work but JJ and Lani are heading out. Lani glance back at Eli as they head out.

Eli and Lani have a major argument during their first encounter.

Lani explains that she's talking to him as a favor because Abe asked him to talk to him about Valerie. Eli tells her to stop meddling in his life and mind her own business. Lani tells him that he will end up alone and asks if that's what he wants because she's starting to think it's what he deserves as she storms off.

Eli and Lani ‘meet’ for the first time.

Eli says he's sorry that he never got to know his father and now he will never have the chance. Lani comes back in looking for her phone and sees Eli.
