Dog Attack in Ocean Beach
Dog Attack in Ocean Beach
Officials are looking for two pit bull-type dogs that attacked and killed an elderly woman’s poodle mix in Ocean Beach. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened on Voltaire Street on Monday night. Very few details have been released about this dog attack, but we do know that an 86-year-old woman was taking her 10-year-old poodle mix out to relieve itself before bed, and two large pit bulls ran up and mauled the small dog.
A bystander heard the commotion and ran over to help. He kicked one of the dogs, and they both ran off, but it was too late for the little poodle mix. The small dog suffered from a broken neck and other injuries in the attack. Officials are still trying to locate these dogs and the owner.

One More Reason to Be Thankful Arizona Doesn’t Participate in Daylight Saving
Tumblr media
Switching clocks backward or forward is dangerous for more reasons than one, and an increase in car accidents and workplace injuries is at the top of that list. Other health dangers include an increase in heart attacks and increased cluster headaches.
So what does this have to do with Arizonans if the time doesn’t change here? Many of us travel and have to deal with the time changes in neighboring states, and we also share the roads with out-of-towners who might be feeling the impact of less sleep.
According to livescience.com, many researchers argue about whether daylight saving time changes increase car accidents due to the changes in people’s sleep patterns and level of alertness. They seem to agree that when the time changes, it makes the evening commute suddenly darker, which can be dangerous; and when it results in more daylight hours, it can increase visibility. However, no one can argue that a person’s sleep rhythm is changed.
Workplace injuries also seem to increase, especially during the “spring forward” change when workers arrive with 40 minutes less sleep. The Journal of Applied Psychology found there were 5.7% more workplace injuries in the week right after the spring time change.
As for heart attacks, a 2008 study shows that the rate of attacks increases by about 5% after the spring change, mostly due to the stress hormone that increases inflammation and occurs when sleep is lacking. People can also experience headaches because their hormones are influenced by the sudden change in time. For some people, this could mean chronic, debilitating pain.
For Arizonans traveling out of state into an area with a different time schedule than ours, the Alaska Sleep Clinic shares a few tips:
Adjust in the weeks before your trip. Start by going to bed a bit earlier and waking up a few minutes earlier each day (or vice versa depending on what time zone you’ll be entering). Increase this amount each day during the weeks before your trip.
Get outdoors. Natural light can help you cope before, during, and after a time change. The sunlight helps put your body back in the natural circadian rhythms it needs.
Don’t drink alcohol. This can throw your body’s natural coping abilities off even more, and disrupt your sleep cycles to a greater extent. At the same time, avoid eating heavy meals at night because it can ruin your chances of deep sleep.
Create an atmosphere conducive of good sleep. Use noise-canceling curtains or earplugs. Don’t bring your computer or other electronic devices into bed with you.

CHP on Parents’ Role in Teen Driver Safety
CHP on Parents’ Role in Teen Driver Safety
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) recently issued a press release stressing the importance of parents’ role in teen driver safety. The CHP, as well as many other public safety agencies in California and across the nation, recently observed National Teen Driver Safety Week. This year, National Teen Driver Safety Week ran from October 20-26. While parents may not always feel like they’re very strong influencers or voices in their teens’ lives, that’s simply not the case when it comes to driving safety.
When it comes to keeping your teens safe behind the wheel, the best place to start is with an open dialogue. In addition to having discussions about safety behind the wheel, parents are also reminded to always set a good example for inexperienced young drivers.
  Open a Dialogue About Safe Driving With Your Teen
Surprisingly, opening up a dialogue about safe driving is a great way to improve safety behind the wheel for your teen driver. While it may sometimes feel like discussions with teens can go in one ear and out the other, this important component of teen driver safety can’t be overlooked. Talk to your teen drivers about the dangers of texting behind the wheel. Other risky behaviors to discuss include speeding, drinking alcohol, driving while drowsy and transporting peer passengers.
  Set a Good Example for Teen Drivers
Above all, don’t forget to set a good example for your teen drivers. If you’re telling them not to drive distracted, you better make sure you don’t have your phone out while you’re driving. It’s not good enough to tell them to do as you say and not as you do. You have to walk the talk. If your teen driver sees how seriously you take roadway safety, that’s going to make a positive impact on their behavior behind the wheel.

Preventing Dog Attacks in Phoenix
Tumblr media
Phoenix is a great town for dog-lovers, with plenty of places to play: Cesar Chavez Dog Park, Esteban Park, Hance Dog Park, Paradise Valley, Deer Valley, Deem Hills Park, and more!
But according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 4.5 million people are victims of dog bites annually, and 885,000 of those bites require medical attention. Children are at the highest risk of dog bites, and adult males are the second most likely to suffer a dog attack.
A study of a level-one pediatric trauma center in Maricopa County was released in 2015. It found that:
Over half of the attacking dogs belonged to the child’s family, immediate or extended
Nearly 70% of the children required surgical intervention
76% required laceration repairs
14% required tissue transfers, and
2% required neurological interventions.
The worst injuries included depressed skull fractures, brain bleeds, crushed throats, and damage to the genitals. The Husband and Wife Law Team wants to share a few tips to avoid these horrible situations in the first place, whenever possible.
Tips for Preventing Dog Attacks
The following tips can help you in preventing dog attacks:
Never approach a dog that is without an owner.
Never approach an unknown dog.
Never approach an injured dog. Call a professional who can help it get the attention it needs.
Do not approach a dog that is nursing, sleeping or eating.
Do not run from or chase a dog.
In Arizona, if a dog injures a human, its owner may be responsible for its behavior, even if the owner is unaware that the dog has a vicious nature, as long as the victim did not provoke the dog.
Warning Signs in an Aggressive Dog
While there is no guaranteed method to prevent all dog bites, there are animal behaviors that you can learn to recognize that will help you to see if a dog is angry or agitated. The following are just a handful of behaviors that dogs use to communicate that they are in a situation that causes them to feel aggressive:
Growling
Snarling
Baring teeth
An intense stare
Bristling of hair around the neck and shoulders (the scruff)
Ears that are flat or standing straight up
Even if you follow all of these rules, dog aggression is complex, and dogs do not always display aggressive behaviors before attacking.
What Should You Do After an Attack?
If you are a dog bite victim, it is essential that you research dog bite lawyers and find one that meets your needs as soon as possible. Keep in mind, while there is a two-year statute of limitations, injured victims lose many of the protections afforded to them if they fail to make a claim within the first year.
In some instances, owners claim that the victim provoked the dog, thus avoiding penalties. That’s why, even in what may seem like a straightforward case, the claimant should seek professional counsel.
 Breyer Law Offices, P.C.’s Phoenix dog bite lawyers specialize in dog bite law. We are attorneys who have successfully handled thousands of personal injury cases, and we can help you with honest, candid answers to all of your questions. Call The Husband & Wife Law Team at (602) 267-1280 for a free consultation today to discuss your case.

Fatal Crash on Highway 154
  Fatal Crash on Highway 154
Last week, there was a fatal crash on Highway 154 near the Cold Spring Bridge. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, a woman and two children were killed in the wreck. Very little information has been released about this fatal wreck, but we do know that it was a head-on collision that resulted in a vehicle fire and nearby vegetation fire. Initial reports indicate that at least three vehicles were involved.
For currently unknown reasons, a westbound Camaro crossed the double yellow line and then hit a sedan head-on. A third vehicle was also hit. The three occupants in the sedan, a woman and two children, died in the crash. The driver of the Camaro was airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment. This crash is likely still under investigation with the California Highway Patrol.

Our San Bernardino Slip and Fall Attorneys Protect Your Rights To Compensation
When a slip or fall happens in a public place, it can be embarrassing for the victim. As a result, you may attempt to downplay the incident or the injuries you suffer. Unfortunately, doing so could jeopardize your health and your rights in a claim.
The National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI) reports that slip and fall accidents are one of the leading causes of death and disability in the U.S., sending more than eight million people to hospital emergency rooms each year. At Harris Personal Injury Lawyers, we protect your rights in these types of cases, providing the professional legal help you need in filing a claim. Our San Bernardino slip and fall attorneys represent people who suffer injuries in other people’s homes and at stores, restaurants, office buildings, shopping malls or other public places. We hold property owners accountable when the following common types of dangerous conditions cause you to suffer slip and fall injuries:
Wet or slippery floors due to spills or condensation;
Loose or torn carpeting and damaged flooring tiles;
Blocked and cluttered aisles and walkways;
Improperly lighted stairways and landings that lack safety rails;
Damaged paving stones or other debris on outdoor sidewalks or paths.
What Are Common Injuries Caused By Slip and Fall Accidents?
Slips and falls are no laughing matter. According to the National Safety Council (NSC), they are considered a major public health hazard and result in more than 35,000 deaths each year. Any time a slip and fall accident happens, it is important to report it to the property owner and seek medical attention immediately.
As experienced San Bernardino slip and fall accident attorneys, we see first hand the damage victims often suffer and the ways their injuries impact other areas of their lives. Common types of injuries suffered by clients in cases we represent include:
Muscle and tendon strains, sprains, tears;
Slipped and herniated discs;
Fractured vertebrae in the back or neck;
Dislocated knees, shoulders, and hips;
Broken bones impacting the legs, ankles, arms, and wrists;
Head injuries, resulting in concussion and traumatic brain injuries (TBI).
To protect yourself and your rights to compensation in a claim, our legal team advises victims of slip and fall injuries to follow all doctor’s instructions regarding diagnostic testing, treatments, and follow up visits, as well as any work or activity restrictions.
What Compensation Am I Entitled To For Slip and Fall Injuries?
Slips and falls are generally referred to as ‘accidents’, but it is often the reckless and negligent actions of property owners which are ultimately to blame. Under the California Civil Code, they can be held accountable for failing to address dangerous conditions or for not informing you that the condition exists.
At Harris Personal Injury Lawyers, we provide the professional legal representation you need in seeking compensation through a claim. Our top case results show a proven track record of success in obtaining settlements worth hundreds of thousands of dollars for our clients. Our San Bernardino slip and fall accident attorneys can negotiate with insurance companies on your behalf, helping to ensure you get the maximum amount you are entitled to. If a reasonable settlement cannot be reached, we can guide you in filing a lawsuit against the property owner. Damages you may be entitled to include:
Economic damages: These cover tangible costs, such as your current medical expenses and any future costs you are likely to incur. You may also be entitled to compensation for lost wages and future losses in income due to ongoing disabilities.
Non-economic damages: These cover intangible costs associated with your slip and fall, providing compensation for your pain and suffering. They also compensate you for loss of enjoyment in life when slip and fall injuries prevent you from engaging in your favorite hobbies and activities.

Aggressive Legal Representation From Experienced San Bernardino Train Accident Attorneys
Many local residents are old enough to remember the massive San Bernardino train disaster that occurred in our area on May 2, 1989, when a runaway railroad train derailed and crashed into a residential area on Duffy Street. In addition to those killed and injured in the accident, thousands more were impacted in the aftermath when clean up efforts caused a nearby Calnev petroleum pipeline to rupture. While these types of railroad accidents are relatively uncommon. passenger train crashes and collisions happen far more frequently.
Metro Link trains and Amtrak services run regularly through the San Bernardino Depo. Taking the train is often considered safer than driving but the fact is accidents and injuries happen with alarming regularity. At Harris Personal Injury Lawyers, we provide aggressive legal representation to help you get compensation for injuries you suffer as a result. Common types of cases our San Bernardino train accident attorneys represent include:
Train station accidents, which may be due to crowded conditions or hazards such as wet floors and loose tiles;
Train track accidents, which can occur when driving, walking, or biking near the station;
Train station platform accidents, which can happen when you are boarding or getting off the train;
Onboard accidents, which may involve sudden jolts that throw you from your seat or altercations with passengers or crew members;
Train crashes, involving collisions with fixed objects, motor vehicles, or other trains;
Train derailments, one of the most deadly types of train accidents, which can happen due to speeding, track malfunctions, or other factors.
Who Is To Blame For Train Accident Injuries I Suffer?
The Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) reports that roughly 2,000 train accidents occur throughout the country each year. California leads the nation in terms of the sheer number of train crashes and collisions that happen. With the number of trains running through our area, San Bernardino residents are at an increased risk.
At Harris Personal Injury Lawyers, we can determine who is ultimately to blame for your train accident injuries. This may include:
Train conductors and crew members: They can be held liable for errors and reckless behavior, such as speeding and being distracted or under the influence.
Train station managers: Over scheduling and failure to properly monitor the station, track conditions, and any incoming or outgoing trains make train accidents more likely to occur.
Train maintenance technicians: Mechanical failures and not running the proper safety checks are another common cause of train crashes.
Train company owners and employees: Train company owners and managers can be held accountable for failing to safely manage or coordinate their services and for not properly vetting, training, or supervising employees.
Train manufacturers and parts suppliers: When defects in the train or the tracks are determined to be an underlying cause in a train accident, manufacturers and parts suppliers may be liable.
What Are My Rights In Filing A Train Accident Claim?
Train companies have teams of attorneys working on their side, defending them and their employees when accidents occur. To protect your rights in filing a train accident claim, get our legal team at Harris Personal Injury Lawyers on yours.
When train accidents and injuries happen, you have the right to file a claim against the company’s insurer. As experienced San Bernardino train accident attorneys, we negotiate with these companies on your behalf. Our top cases results show settlements worth millions of dollars. If an appropriate amount cannot be reached in your case, you have the right to file a civil lawsuit seeking the following types of damages:
Coverage of current and future medical expenses;
Lost wages and future losses in earnings due to lingering disabilities;
Compensation for pain and suffering you or your family endured.

San Bernardino Bicycle Accident Attorneys

San Bernardino Bicycle Accident Attorneys
Bicycling is a cost-effective and environmentally-friendly form of transportation in San Bernardino. More streets add bike lanes each year and there are numerous mixed-use trails throughout the area as well. Unfortunately, some drivers still fail to give bicyclists the respect and consideration they deserve. When injuries occur as a result, our San Bernardino bicycle accident attorneys help you hold these drivers accountable.
At Harris Personal Injury Lawyers, we provide the trusted legal guidance you need in filing a bicycle accident claim. Our legal expertise has allowed us to obtain settlements for clients worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. Contact 1-800-GO-HARRIS and request a free consultation today.
Our San Bernardino Bicycle Accident Attorneys Defend Your Rights In Filing A Claim
Bicyclists have just as much right to the road as any other motorist in San Bernardino. Unfortunately, they are also just as likely to be involved in accidents. When crashes and collisions with drivers do happen, the injuries bike riders suffer tend to be severe.
According to the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS), more than 300 people are seriously injured as a result of bike accidents in San Bernardino County each year. That averages to nearly one each day. At Harris Personal Injury Lawyers, we defend the rights of victims in these cases. Our San Bernardino bicycle accident attorneys hold motorists accountable for reckless driving behaviors such as the following:
Driving over the speed limit, running red lights, and other traffic violations;
Engaging in aggressive driving behaviors, such as tailgating, improper passing, and failing to yield to bicyclists;
Distracted driving, which increases the overall risks of a bicycle accident;
Drowsy driving, which can cause motorists to swerve into bicycle lanes;
Driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, which is one of the leading factors in fatal bike crashes.
How Do I File An Insurance Claim After A Bicycle Accident In San Bernardino?
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) warns bicyclists to take extra precautions to prevent bike accidents and the serious injuries they can result in. However, even if you wear a helmet, ride only in designated lanes, and obey all traffic signals, bicycle accidents and injuries can still occur.
When they do, you may be entitled to compensation through a claim filed against the at-fault driver’s insurer. To protect your rights, take the following actions in the immediate aftermath of a bike accident in San Bernardino:
Notify law enforcement immediately;
Get the name, address, and insurance information of the driver involved;
Seek medical attention as soon as possible for your injuries, regardless of their severity;
Speak with our San Bernardino first, before making any statements to insurers.
Filing a claim for a bike accident follows many of the same procedures as any other type of crash. Unfortunately, you are also likely to face the same hassles in trying to settle your claim. It is common for insurers to attempt to blame you or downplay the injuries suffered. At Harris Personal Injury Lawyers, we can negotiate with these companies on your behalf, helping you get the maximum amount you are entitled to in a settlement.
What If The Driver Is Uninsured Or Fled The Scene?
In San Bernardino, it is not uncommon for drivers to leave the scene when a bicycle accident occurs. Our legal team is a strong ally on your side in holding these drivers accountable. Actions we can take on your behalf include:
Reviewing police reports relating to your accident;
Obtaining statements from eyewitnesses at the scene;
Reviewing nearby footage from traffic cameras and store surveillance systems;
Spreading the word throughout the community in an attempt to locate the at-fault driver.
One of the most common reasons for hit and run accidents is a lack of insurance. In these cases, our San Bernardino bicycle accident attorneys can guide you in filing a personal injury lawsuit.
What Types of Compensation Am I Entitled To For Bicycle Accident Injuries?
When a bicycle accident insurance settlement cannot be reached or the at-fault driver was uninsured, we can file a civil lawsuit through the San Bernardino County Court. This may entitle you to additional amounts not available through an insurance company. Depending on the situation, this may include:
Coverage of current and future medical expenses;
Lost wages and future losses in earning due to lingering disabilities;
Compensation for the pain, suffering, and loss of enjoyment in life you experience as a result of your bike accident;
Punitive damages, which are an additional amount meant to punish at-fault drivers for particularly willful and negligent behavior.

San Bernardino Car Accident Attorneys
Car accidents are common throughout San Bernardino. When they happen, they can leave you and your passengers suffering serious injuries. As experienced San Bernardino car accident attorneys, we help you hold those at fault accountable.

Our top case results show settlements and jury awards worth millions of dollars. To discuss how we can help you in filing a claim, contact 1-800-GO-HARRIS today to request a free consultation.
Cases Our San Bernardino Car Accident Attorneys Represent
Statistics from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) indicate more than 2,000 people are injured as a result of car accidents in San Bernardino each year. This ranks us near the top ten in the state in terms of how likely crashes and collisions are to occur here compared to other areas. Unfortunately, even a minor accident can leave you and others in your vehicle suffering major harm.
As experienced San Bernardino car accident attorneys, we help victims in car accidents get the compensation they are entitled to. Despite the efforts of law enforcement officials and public safety campaigns, we know that the reckless and illegal actions of others on the road are often to blame. At Harris Personal Injury Lawyers, we provide trusted legal guidance and aggressive representation to clients injured in the following types of cases:
Speed related car accidents and crashes in which drivers are going too fast for conditions;
Parking lot accidents and collisions involving traffic violations, such as running red lights;
Aggressive driving accidents, caused by tailgating, improper passing, and failure to yield;
Distracted driving accidents, due to behaviors such as talking on cellphones and texting;
Drowsy driving accidents, caused by tired drivers and those who fall asleep behind the wheel;
Car accidents caused by drivers who are impaired and under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medications.
What Are My Rights In Filing A Car Accident Claim?
When another driver’s actions cause you to suffer injuries and property damage, we help you hold them accountable in a claim. The California Department of Insurance advises that all drivers are required to carry a mandatory minimum amount of auto insurance coverage to protect themselves and others in the event of a car accident for which they are to blame.  However, it is important to be aware that when dealing with insurance companies that they are for-profit businesses. As such, it is not uncommon for them to attempt to deny, delay, or undervalue your claim.
Before making any statements to insurance representatives, signing any documents, or accepting a settlement, speak to our San Bernardino car accident attorneys first. At Harris Personal Injury Lawyers, we have extensive experience in dealing with insurers. Acting as a strong ally on your side, we negotiate to get you the maximum amount in your claim.
Am I Still Entitled to Compensation If The Other Driver Was Uninsured?
While car insurance is required in California, it is not uncommon to be involved in a car accident with a driver who is uninsured. The expense of paying for a policy is only one of the reasons why drivers often fail to maintain the appropriate amount of coverage. Other common causes include driving without a license or registration and having a history of moving violations or DUIs, making the driver uninsurable.
It can come as a shock to find out the other driver does not have coverage but Harris Personal Injury Lawyers can make sure they are still held accountable. Our San Bernardino car accident attorneys can guide you in filing a claim against them through the San Bernardino Civil Court and can pursue actions such as wage garnishment and asset seizure to ensure any judgments are paid.
What If A Hit and Run Accident Happens?
Hit and run accidents are unfortunately common and can often be attributed to many of the same reasons that cause drivers to go uninsured. At Harris Personal Injury Lawyers, we can help you track these drivers down. Our legal team will conduct an extensive accident investigation, taking the following actions on your behalf:
Obtaining descriptions of the driver or their vehicle from witnesses at the scene;
Reviewing footage from nearby security cameras for additional clues;
Working with local law enforcement to put the word out in the community;
Talking to local mechanics and car dealers, where the driver might have taken the vehicle for repairs.

NHTSA on Halloween Roadway Safety
NHTSA on Halloween Roadway Safety
Officials with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) are calling on partygoers to stay safe on Halloween night this year. They’re teaming up with a variety of local law enforcement officials across the nation to spread the word about the dangers of drunk driving. This year, they’re also focusing on raising awareness about buzzed driving, which can be just as dangerous as drunk driving. Even one drink can be one drink too many, so if you plan on celebrating Halloween with alcohol, make sure you have a safe ride home.
  The Stats on Halloween Drunk Driving Crashes
During the Halloween night holiday between 2013 and 2017, there were 158 people killed in crashes involving drunk drivers in the U.S.
During Halloween night from 2013 to 2017, 42 percent of those people were killed in crashes that involved at least one drunk driver.
During the 2017 Halloween night holiday, there were 11 vehicle occupants and three pedestrians killed in drunk-driving crashes.
Those under the age of 21 had the highest percentage (45 percent) of fatalities in drunk-driving crashes on Halloween night in 2017.
  Buzzed Driving is Drunk Driving
Don’t think that just because you only had a couple of drinks that you’re okay to drive home. Even one drink can impact your alertness, reaction times, cognition and safety behind the wheel. This Halloween and all year long, avoid getting behind the wheel if you’ve been drinking any alcohol at all. Alcohol and motor vehicles just don’t mix. It’s not worth putting your life or the lives of others in danger.
  Get a Safe Ride Home
If you plan on drinking, make sure to have a safe ride home lined up. It doesn’t matter if you’re using a designated driver or a ridesharing app like Uber, just make sure you don’t get behind the wheel. Equally important, don’t plan on walking home if you’re drunk either. Pedestrian safety can also be impacted by alcohol, so always make sure you have a safe and sober ride lined up after a night of partying with alcohol.

Staying safe this bonfire night…
It’s that time of year when everybody gets wrapped up warm and heads out to their local bonfire to watch a firework display however, every year adults and children are injured or harmed by fireworks even though the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and Trading Standards Officers work extremely hard to enforce legislation and prevent accidents. The Firework Regulations 2004 govern the safe use of fireworks. St John’s Ambulance are actively trying to promote safe use of firework to prevent injuries from occurring.
Experts say injuries are much more likely to happen at private parties, where trained professionals aren’t on hand to help. So health charity St John Ambulance is urging parents to learn some basic first aid skills before they head out for a night of firework celebrations.
A sparkler may seem like harmless fun but burns at 2000c which is 20 times boiling point. As such, burns and scalds are the most common type of injury. We all know how painful a burn can be but they can also cause nerve damage, permanent scarring, tendon/ligament or muscle damage and in the most severe cases, they can even be fatal. Victims from burn injuries may also suffer with severe psychological reactions which if not treated can be lifetime injuries.
In order to ensure the safe use of fireworks and prevent injury, it is important that you follow the firework code:-
Only buy fireworks marked BS 7114 as per the Firework Regulations 2004
Keep them in a closed box
Follow the instructions on each firework
Light at arm’s length, using a taper
Stand well back
Never go near a firework that has been lit. Even if it has not gone off, it could still explode
Never put them in your pocket or throw them
Always supervise children around fireworks
Light sparklers one at a time and wear gloves
Never give sparklers to a child under 5
Keep pets indoors
Don’t drink alcohol if setting off fireworks
Should you or anyone you know have suffered an injury, please do not hesitate to contact us on 0114 218 4000 or email [email protected] We hope your weekend goes off with a bang….and you have a safe and happy bonfire night.

Fatal Crash Involving Big Rig on I-8
Fatal Crash Involving Big Rig on I-8
Early Monday morning, there was a fatal crash involving a semi-truck on Interstate 8. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened sometime before 2:30 a.m., just east of Ribbonwood Road. Very few details about this tractor-trailer crash have been released, but we do know that the large truck was hauling a 53-foot trailer loaded with pineapple at the time of the wreck. For currently unknown reasons, the truck driver lost control of the semi-truck.
The big rig overturned and went down an embankment. Initial reports indicate that the truck driver was not buckled up at the time of the crash. That person was ejected during the crash and did not survive his injuries. This fatal semi-truck crash is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement authorities.
