There is a similar cap here in the UK, but it applies to everyone who receives benefits. So people who can’t find work are only allowed a certain amount in their bank accounts. . So if you receive benefits and your parent pass away and leave you, say £17,000 in their, will lose your benefits until you use this money. Always a good policy to keep the poor, unemployed and disabled in their place. 😤

This is a terrible policy. Good luck USA. I am supporting the increase.
