im so done with seeing articles about kids and screen time that doesnt mention parent behaviors even once. “kids are always on their phones” so are the parents! which the kids look to for how they should behave! ipad babies didn’t chose to only play on their ipads, thats what their parents gave them!

an anecdotal example: when i was a kid, all my parents would do in their minimal free time was watch tv and then they would be surprised when in my sister and i’s minimal free time we would also only watch tv/play video games. they scolded us for not reading books, but they never read books. they scolded us for not going outside but they never went outside.

I would like to argue that YES it IS realistic for Joel to be wearing $300 jackets and $250 shoes in the apocalypse because that is the only thing that is left. Sure there is cheaper things that are going to last 20 years, and expensive things that are not. But do you think shein and other fast fashion clothes are gonna be circulating 20 years into the apocalypse? Everything that is left had to be of a certain quality. H&M can’t even last 3 washes with cold water. Any clothes that are not quality made (expensive or cheap) are gonna be threads in 5 years. If you didn’t already have one, this is your sign to avoid fast fashion

so I read that for the burning bookshop scene, there was an actual controlled fire and you actually burnt the furniture and books. Can I ask why you decided to do this instead of just editing it all in?

What does "editing it all in" mean?

We set things on fire because it made it real in a way that having David Tennant acting in front of a Green Screen wouldn't have done. Digital flame is convincing up to a point. But only up to a point. This was real.

I was trying not to anger people but I’ll say it. I’m a Din x Bo hater, I hate everything about it and if it becomes canon I’ll actually scream. It’s not just a matter of it not being my ship, it’s that they’ve laughably handled BOTH characters to make Din this blank slate so they could have room to focus on her and they made her a perfect uninteresting royal girlboss archtype who’s only problem was making a deal to save her people and not addressing the fact that she was a terrorist and a horrible person to both Din and Boba, which is what would have made her an interesting antagonist and maybe eventual ally. I don’t care what I ship, I’d never want characters to be this badly mischaracterized just to make it happen. Feel free to block me if it upsets you but if DinBo happens it’s shit writing imo 🤷‍♀️
