Hesitant Alien - Gerard Way
The Bureau - the instrumentation sounds INCREDIBLY sinister. this is like crack to me and im only on the first song. the phone noises near the end are GREAT. i love this. so much
Action Cat - the parts where he goes "said i miss you / say i miss you too" and "do you miss me / cause i miss you" are breaking me right now. the instrumentation is, once again, amazing.
No Shows - this song is going to make me SICK. (/pos) i dont know how to describe this one other than its really really good.
Brother - OH FUCK! PIANO! OH GOD! this one leans into some other genre i cant really describe that the others didnt hit, and i really enjoy it. its not as post-hardcore as the other songs if that makes sense. song about addiction and mikey way i think. good song
Millions - genius says that this one is about MCR breaking up and. yeah. mikey way jumpscare hi mikey. this one sounds really sad in a way i dont know how to put into words.
Zero Zero - back to the genre i expected and its so good. cant figure out what this one is about but i love it a lot.
Juarez - the DRUMSSSSSS AND GUITARRRRRRRRR. this goes HARDDDD. for the love of GODDDDD
Drugstore Perfume - song about escaping. haha. wow (gripping so hard im breaking things) not as hard as the rest of the songs, but INSANELY good. this song is killing me.
Get the Gang Together - OHHH FUCK IT TRANSITIONS!!!!!!!! love the electronic noises in here- TRANSGENDER WOMAN??????? AWESOME. this song invokes a real feeling of growing apart from old friends
How It's Going To Be - the genre here is once again switched and i cant figure out what it is. i like it though. this song is apparently about living past 25 and. yeah thats how it is when you think youre gonna die young. this song hurts i wont lie. FUCK YEAH BRASS SYNTH
Maya the Psychic - i knew ABOUT this song, i just never listened to it. song is really good. mental illness song. a really solid way to end the album, and a really good track in general
IN CONCLUSION - i knew what this album was going to be rated before i even started listening. ive told myself for years, "im going to save this album for when i really need new music to lift my mood." i knew going in id love the sound - mcr is a really big band in my life, i knew that this album would meet my expectations for what id want to listen to. this is definitely what i needed to hear in my low mood.
10/10.

The Queen Is Dead - The Smiths
The Queen Is Dead - not what i expected going in only knowing the one song! i enjoyed this one. the voice crack at the one part made me lose my shit for a second. solid song
Frankly, Mr. Shankly - this shit is JAUNTY. good for them
I Know It’s Over - this is another one i can tell id break down crying to.
Had No One Ever - THIS IS GONNA FUCK ME UP.
Cemetry Gates - THIS IS GONNA FUCK ME UPPPPP
Bigmouth Strikes Again - this song is better when im not listening to a band cover it
The Boy with the Thorn In His Side - nothing to say about this one i spaced the fuck out
Vicar In a Tutu - JAUNTY AGAIN
There Is A Light That Never Goes Out - this is a song ive sobbed crying to before. this song has fucked me UP. the reason i went listening to the whole album was so i could get more songs like this one. this song DESTROYS me.
Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others - no idea what this is about but yknow what? song sounds good.
IN CONCLUSION - 7/10. was expecting a lot more than i got, which is kinda on me unfortunately. ill have to give it a relisten or two probably. really good, has a good tone to it, and i can definitely get why people love them

Gold Celeste - The Glow

But a Poem - again with loving the drums. youve got your eyes closed no wonder you cannot see.... upon reading more of the lyrics this is awesome actually
Open your Eyes - as char said "its sooo dreamy and....wow". super accurate. i like the keys in this song! (and of course the drums).
The Dreamers - the lyrics in this one too... god. god. okay. this one is honestly turning me on to dream pop, a genre i didnt think id like
Grand New Spin - i LOVE when you can hear the counting at the beginning of the song. this song is super pretty i love it. the lyrics are also.......... Yes
Time of Your Life - this one is more in line with what i normally listen to. heavily enjoying this song. i love when Guitars. easily my favorite so far. added to library
Pastures - I LOVE PIANOOOO
Is This What You Can Not Do - char was right i love this one. i love When Guitars. this is also being added to my library and it beats time of your life for my favorite. i cant tell what that instrument is but i love it
You and I - great music for the conversation about king gizzard and the lizard wizard in the background.
On the Brink - I LOVE SYNTHHHH WHEN ITS USED CORRECTLY !!!
The Start of Something Beautiful - again with the DRUMS. the lyrics on this one are sooo good too
IN CONCLUSION - 8/10 i LOVE whatever this style of music is. the drums are AMAZING. it definitely has a very ethereal vibe to it. i never wouldve checked out this genre if not for 1. it being charlottes favorite 2. listening party and 3. having nothing better to do atm. super good album!

Zaba - Glass Animals
Flip - exactly what i expected from glass animals. a song you can sway to, if that makes sense. LOVE how it is after the drop. you can hear the cymbals GOING and i love it
Black Mambo - snake motifs <3 i love the guitar and piano in here. again, very sway-y.
Pools - same vibe as the others - love how sway-y it is, love the. is that a marimba? whatever carries the melody.
Gooey - i looove when songs transition into each other ily. again super chill. had a great flow to it
Walla Walla - i love the drums in this one. the guitar solo-type bit was also really nice.
Intruxx - REALLY cool interlude track. reminded me of something off of the alt-j record i listened to because of the percussion.
Hazey - ANOTHER SMOOTH TRANSITION. whatever the instrument in here is i love it (i think its a marimba?)
Toes - pretty good. no notes
Wyrd - the vocals are so good in this one.
Cocao Hooves - in love with how acoustic this song starts off
Jdnt - amazing vocals, and a great way to end the album.
IN CONCLUSION - i can best describe this album as one youd put on while relaxing somewhere. it gives a very beach-y feel. all the songs are distinct enough that i didnt get bored of the album like i do with some other albums i listen to, but i had a hard time articulating what i liked about each new song. for me itd probably be good background music. 7/10
review for person - really good album, with songs that each stand out really well from each other. i can best describe this as “music to sway to”. 7/10

Sniper & Other Love Songs - Harry Chapin
Sunday Morning Sunshine - right off the bat, i love his voice. i cant tell what it is but it reminds me of this christmas album my mom puts on sometimes (which may be the time period and location? id have to check). i like how this song tells you a story.
Sniper - did you know i fucking love ballads. its long, its dramatic, and it just kept building. a few times i went "WHAT" out loud because i really didn't expect an album with "& other love songs" in the title to give me This. i honestly really love this song. after 8:10 is REALLY GOOD. from where he screams "i hate you" onward. 10/10 song jesus fucking christ. added to my library
And The Baby Never Cries - really soft and nice to listen to. love the cello in here. im still a bit stunned from the last song so this was a good refresher
Burning Herself - i love songs with fire symbolism oh my goddd i love them. this honestly gave me brain animatic. i liked the different uses of guitar in here. adding this to my library so i can find it later for possible animatic use
Barefoot Boy - another little song telling a story. its about a barefoot boy. he doesnt like conk crete.
A Better Place To Be - THERES the love song. it was fun to listen to and it was, again, a story. really enjoyable. this one had a PLOT TWIST. i like to believe that this guy met a ghost.
Circle - MORE ANIMATIC FODDER LETS GOOO. this song is really nice. about how life goes on and whatnot
Woman Child - the cellooooo <3. squints at the lyrics IS THIS ABOUT AN ABORTION? oh my god it totally is. wild ass song
Winter Song - bro is right winter is kinda like that
IN CONCLUSION - singer/songwriter is a genre i love whenever i hear it, but i never really go looking for it. this album is REALLY GOOD. it honestly blew me away, and wasnt what i expected at all. most of the songs arent something id listen to on my own, but really enjoyable regardless. i even downloaded a few songs. 7/10
review for person: every single song on this album was a story, and a great one at that. loved the lyricism, loved the instrumentation. really positively surprised me. sniper was easily my favorite song. 7/10

Public Void - Penelope Scott
Cigarette Ahegao - WAY too electronic for my tastes and the singing style isnt really for me. stop saying uwu at me or ill kill myself
Lotta True Crime - i knew this song before and its a solid 6/10 i guess. song for edgy teens who think theyre so fucked up
American Healthcare (Glitzy)- good lyrics i guess, suffers from the same problem that the rest of the album does where the instrumentals are- sorry i have to pause because she just said "suck the devil's dick". song gets one point more for that i guess. but yeah the instrumentals arent for me.
Feel Better - ive heard portions of this song before and it never really caught my attention, and it continues to not catch my attention. the bass shouldve been in the entirety of the song and not just a few parts.
Moonsickness - did this really need to be the longest song on the album? its so. Nothing. if i didnt go and read the lyrics i wouldve thought it was about Nothing. that being said, the lyrics for this one are pretty good, but again, the actual sound of it is so Nothing. for a song with as cool of a name as moonsickness i really hoped id be pleasantly surprised. the only reason i didnt skip the last minute of this song was because i was really really hoping that itd be one of those songs that gets better around the end but no, it was just so nothing the whole time and never got any better.
Dumpster - is this the same beat she used for lotta true crime. i think it is. this song is short but i really wish the part at the end where there was some kind of distorted guitar played over a synth was longer. she started doing something really cool with the intrumentals and then it just. Stopped.
Rät - i knew this song as well before listening and i do passively enjoy it, but upon listening to the whole album at once its really just more of the same. i do still like it for the nostalgia value
IN CONCLUSION - this album feels like it was made in a lab for teen girls on tiktok. thats not a bad thing (even though i actively dislike it) its just not for me. im gonna split this conclusion into a few parts because i dont want to seem unfair i guess
THE BAD - there are only ever 3 instruments playing at once, and one of them is the drums (if you can call them that. its a beat i guess). the bitcrushed instrumentals really dont do it for me. girl you dont need to swear every few words. the album is way too short, and maybe should've been an EP. the sampling is clumsy and out of place. i cannot stress this enough: Stop Swearing Every Other Line
THE GOOD - the lyrics are pretty honest and she definitely has a lot of emotion shes trying to get out onto paper, and i can respect that. the melodies are catchy. when shes not swearing every line shes a really good lyricist.
THE NEUTRAL - i can definitely see why she has a following - this style of music is a style i know people really like.
its a 3/10 for my personal tastes, but a 5/10 album in general, so i'll average that to a 4/10

Hozier - Hozier
Take Me To Church - WE’RE JUST FUCKING STARTING WITH THIS ONE???????? WE JUST FUCKING START WITH THIS????????? IM GOING TO THROW UP. this is far from my favorite song but god its good. the fact that this is the FIRST SONG on this album is insane.
Angel of Small Death and the Codeine Scene - sounds vaguely gospel-y. i enjoy it. im reading these lyrics and im not too sure what the song is about but i like it.
Jackie and Wilson - also not sure what this is about, but the guitar is great.
Someone New - this one is BOUNCY. i really like the way this one sounds. i feel like itd be great live. it’s either about him falling in love way too easily, or about him finding the beauty in everyone.
To Be Alone - some sort of love song. the sound is interesting. “it feels good to be alone with you” yeah i get it actually. theres a line about running away with someone in this song. hozier i understand you
From Eden - AUGHHHHH AGHHHHHH. AGHHHH. ive loved this song for forever and i still do. it genuinely fucks me up. i love this song.
In A Week - bashes my head into the wall. okay. okay. okay. OKAY. those lyrics. punches something. im going to eat drywall
Sedated - this is so fucking good. i dont have anything specific to say. this is great.
Work Song - OHHHHHH MY GOD IM INSANE. OKAY. ALRIGHT. OOOHHHHHHHHH MY GODDDDDD. okay. im fine.
Like Real People Do - at this point in the album, i did start crying. this song is one i know and love a lot, but it always ends up making me emotional.
It Will Come Back - this one has a sort of twang to it that i really enjoy. for the love of god these lyrics. its got a really painful sense of yearning in it
Foreigner’s Song - i know exactly what its trying to convey, but i cant articulate it. the song is really beautiful and great to listen to. jesus christ
Cherry Wine (Live) - the cherry wine is blood. okay. normal
IN CONCLUSION - with albums with this many songs, im often scared that the songs will all sound too similar. that is NOT the case here. every song was amazing to listen to, and there wasnt a single song that was boring to me. MULTIPLE songs here i loved. big fan. oh yeah this gets a 10/10 by the way because i genuinely cannot think of a single thing that he did wrong here.

Desolation of Eden - Chelsea Grin
Judgement - great starting track that transitions into the title track.
Desolation of Eden - really strong track. the guitars in this are amazing. worthy of being the title track
False Sense of Sanity - knows exactly when to slow down and speed up, and leans into it really well. the drums and guitars follow each other in this track perfectly.
Sonnet of the Wretched - if that guitar track carries the song, the vocals complete it.
Cheyne Stokes - this is the song i knew the album for, and its still one of my favorites from this band. the edgy and violent lyrics really make it. sometimes you just need a song like this one.
The Human Condition - again with the amazing guitars. the guitars in this song are so so good. super melodic in parts. the lyrics are also good.
Elysium - not much to say. just a really good track. its instrumental which might make it more tolerable to people who hate metal vocals
Recreant - we love betrayal songs in this household. another one of my favorites from this album. amazing guitars and drums as always
Cast From Perfection - good guitar riffs as always. unnotable otherwise (but still great)
Revenant - again, great guitar, not much to say otherwise, still a great song. i have your soul you will perish!
Wasteland - another amazing instrumental track. it really makes you just sit here and think about the rest of the album. there’s SOME kind of talking in this song, but it’s not comprehensible and it’s not in the lyrics so i’m not counting it. i’d be interested to know what it’s saying.
IN CONCLUSION - yknow now that i think about it, i think this album is just retelling the events of the garden of eden part of the book of genesis. nice. the guitars and drums are AMAZING in this album, and the vocals are seriously impressive. if you can stand metal vocals give it a try. i’m going to eat it alive. 9/10

Blossom - Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes
Juggernaut - amazing song. sets the tone for the rest of the album. the dip in the middle is normally something i wouldn’t like, but its executed very well here.
Trouble - i like the guitar solo(?) portion! otherwise i don’t have much to say about this song other than Song Good
Fangs - BIG fan of this. i also like the lyrics here. LOVE the screaming. the slower breakdown part didnt need to be here unfortunately.
Devil Inside Me - slower than the other songs, and i enjoy it adding variety to the album. very 2015 lyrics. this is a positive thing
Paradise - i enjoy that guitar riff a lot. again, doesn’t need to slow down. it works but stop that. otherwise a great song
Loss - super good. the breakdown in this one actually REALLY WORKS. the lyrics are very 2015 again but i love them
Beautiful Death - i cant tell if the static fades into this song from the previous or not. regardless, im a big fan of it starting soft and then becoming louder.
Rotten Blossom - very fun guitar riff, and the drums and vocals work really well with it. the part around 1:35 in is a good addition.
Primary Explosive - the reason i listened to this album in the first place. love it. great song. ily primary explosive
I Hate You - LOOOVE THESE LYRICS theyre so needlessly edgy but it’s perfect. i love it so much. obsessed. the instrumentals arent too complex but they complement the singer perfectly. amazing song
IN CONCLUSION - 8/10. finally reviewed this album after however long. i wish a lot of the songs were longer, but god were they good. need to memorize these songs now. might be a 9/10 some day honestly.

Puppet Loosely Strung - The Correspondents
What Did I Do? - the drums in this track honestly make it work. the synth was fine i guess, it was Funky, but not in the way i generally want. overall a good track, but not what i expected going into it.
Fear & Delight - THATS what i expected from this album. love this song. the vibe and the subject matter work perfectly together. sorry that i like weird love songs its because there’s something wrong with me. i only wish it didnt have the weird bit in the middle with the synth breakdown - i felt like it wasn’t necessary and took away from the rest of the song.
Give You Better - YEAHHH JEALOUSY SONG !!!!!!!! fun to listen to as well. the repetition works really well for the vocalist’s singing style.
Kind of Love - thought this was an instrumental track for a while. again, they let the drummer have FUN here. big fan of that
In The Meantime - this is great. i love instrumental interludes. wish it was longer
Devil’s Lighthouse - again with that synth not being needed. this song was fun though. nothing too notable, but very fun. i can just imagine people doing animatics to this
Well Measured Vice - again with the fun energy that i expected from them! sounds really similar to fear & delight unfortunately, wish it was more distinct.
The Last Time - not much to say, but i do enjoy the song. this may be the only song where the synth doesnt feel offensive
Back Again - its. ??? i cant decide how to feel about it. its a complete shift from the rest of the album. i dont DISlike it, im just. eh? eh.
Puppet Loosely Strung - i know this song. i love this song. no surprise. really creates that feeling of melancholy, even using the same instrumental style that was jaunty and playful in the previous songs. its one of the only songs where the synth is actually used well, and is a good addition that adds to the song. i was genuinely happy to get to this one
Alarm Call - they do some cool effect with the hi-hat that makes it sound really drawn out. other than that? same synth problem.
Some Nights - alright song to tie it all together with. keeps a lot of the same ideas from the rest of the album.
IN CONCLUSION - 6/10. has a really specific sound that i really vibe with. couldve done without that synth in most of the songs unfortunately - the synth parts really took away from the feel the songs had, and its honestly why the rating wasnt higher. im a big fan of how they just let the drummer have fun in some places. if all the songs were like those two (you know which ones.) itd have easily been a 7 or 7.5 out of 10.

Punish, Honey - Vessel
Febrile - WE MAKING IT INTO THE CONSTRUCTION ZONE WITH THIS ONE 🔥🔥🔥
Red Sex - always amazing. i heard this version first and am in love with the restrung version. it has a real feeling of something being Wrong and the restrung version is honestly one of my all-time favorite instrumental tracks. it just invokes a sense of dread, and i will never stop praising it for it.
Drowned in Water and Light - its mostly a drum track for the first little while. i can appreciate it. sounds like ambient music in a game in some underground area. the strings kicking in really make it. it feels calm yet haunting.
Euoi - the dissonant melody, once again, adds to the feeling of Wrongness that this album is so good at. i liked just getting to listen to it.
Anima - I FUCKING LOOOVE 7 MINUTE LONG SONGSSSS!!!!!!! the strings and percussion are amazing. the way it keeps building on itself but bringing back that string melody is sooo good.
Black Leaves and Broken Branches - siren noises. lmao. one of the weakest tracks on the album.
Kin To Coal - again, kind of weak, but still good. zoned out for most of it since it didnt really keep my attention.
Punish, Honey - SUPER short. for the title track i expected longer. sounded nice enough.
Dpm - weird. this is NOT a bad thing, this track just wasnt for me. felt more like an art piece than a song (which yeah, i guess thats the point). still super enjoyable. pulls it all back together near the middle of the track for a strong finish to a great album.
IN CONCLUSION - 9/10. one of my favorite instrumental albums, and the only one that isnt a soundtrack. genuinely couldnt think of a single track i actively dislike on this album. after reading about the making of this album (especially the instruments used) im even more impressed. immediately starting looking at where to buy a record of this.

Selfish Machines - Pierce The Veil
Besitos - of course i know this one who do you take me for. the guitar really sells it. great first track, starts off great and keeps the same energy.
Southern Constellations - starts off slow but picks up. same great energy as before.
The Boy Who Could Fly - DIDNT REALIZE IT STARTED PLAYING. NICE. “without you there is no me”……. good lyric. this is some good emo music. it’s almost like i’m reviewing pierce the veil or something
Caraphernelia - always love 4 hihat hits at the beginning of the song. anyways, good song, but everyone knew that already.
Fast Times At Clairemont High - i like the piano. :) ended up zoning out for half of it
The New National Anthem - nothing notable. great guitar. enjoying it
Bulletproof Love - i’ve definitely heard this too. good song
Stay Away From My Friends - slower, but a really nice palate cleanser from the rest of the album. for the specific mood i was in while listening, this was my favorite song.
I Don’t Care If You’re Contagious - really liked this one. idk if i was just getting bored before the previous song, but i enjoy this one more than the others.
Disasterology - has a unique sound from the rest of the songs. i enjoy this. this is a good thing. that riff at 2:20 is my favorite part.
Million Dollar Houses - sir your autotune (nothing else to say)
The Sky Under The Sea - good song to end on. not much else to say
IN CONCLUSION - 7/10. i got bored of the songs around the middle, but that may be because im listening all at once. really good, i can see why its so well liked

Searching for a Former Clarity - Against Me!
Miami - has a good sound and really sets the tone of the album. her voice is great, big fan of the horns in some sections. gives you an idea of what the album is gonna be like.
Mediocrity Gets You Pears - again with the great sound. great guitar riffs in here.
Justin - the lyrics on this one… Yeah. love the drum track on this
Unprotected Sex With Multiple Partners - big fan of this guitar riff. i remember being told what this song was about and. yeah. big fan of this. this is my favorite so far on the album.
From her Lips to God's Ears - oh shiiit it transitions from the last song. hell fucking yes. song was good
Violence - sounds familiar i think ive heard this one. these lyrics are fucking me up. bassline is great. thanks laura. this one is once again my favorite so far.
Pretty Girls - big fan of her voice in some parts of this song
How Low - this sounds like The Mountain Goats for a little bit. sorry. that being said its good. more folksy than the rest of the songs but its enjoyable.
Joy - it was nice. nothing very notable.
Holy Shit - big fan of guitars. love guitars. banger song always a win (im familiar with this song already)
Even At Our Worst We're Still Better Than Most - im unsure what she was going for here but it absolutely worked. good job. sounds good. and when it picks up? amazing. love this.
Problems - that was good. nothing to note here
Don't Lose Touch - the guitar in this one is great. enjoying it. Tambourine. :)
Searching for a Former Clarity - a really strong song to end on. the lyrics here really paint a picture for later albums, and for. Everything honestly. really profound and well written lyrics, and great instrumentals.
IN CONCLUSION - 7.5/10. really good album. ljg is always great at everything she does. i cannot deny the sheer talent that goes into all of against me!'s albums.

An Awesome Wave - Alt-J
intro - very cool i enjoyed that. not Exactly my kind of music but i enjoyed interlude 1 - acapella. eh tessellate - im sure id like it more if it wasnt drilled into my fucking brain (i was assigned to play this once) breezeblocks - <333333333 10/10 ily. interlude 2 - pretty guitar something good - the guitar and drums not being on time together is fucking me up. otherwise also nice dissolve me - nice :) not for me but Nice matilda - never use that voice filter like the one at the beginning again its too asmr-y for me. otherwise really solid but too repetitive for too long Ms - same as above fitzpleasure - i was going to say Eh but then the saw synth kicked in. im appreciative of this. genuinely good i like this. more of this please interlude 3 - didnt even realize it happened bloodflood - this goes hard but not in the way youd expect taro - the only way i can describe this is “pleasant.” hand-made - kind of a weak one to end the album on? but again. Pleasant
