SAFE HOUSE
As what I’ve read on the story, it’s the safe house. So, as we all know the safe house is like a place where you feel secure, comfortable and its filled with good and innocent people, it makes us safe and protect us away from harm. In any case, colloquially a sheltered house isn't necessarily an area, it could be someone or something that gives you consolation of feeling good and safe from the incredible. In this story or narrative, the people who goes there where hiding to what they call a safe house. Informal as it is, it's not just a commonplace safe spot for mere shelter and protection, it's actually to a greater degree a fort of the men who want to rebel against the current president at that time, President Ferdinand Marcos. The sheltered house is the spot they avoid the people who were keeping with the rulesof the government. I guess the reason why there where revolting because of the negative effects under the dictatorship of the President. On the story the child was being ignorant of the happenings of the works of her father. The child, who knows that she was actually going to be in the chaos and she refuse to grasp why his father is making a barrier and trying to revoltagainst the constitution of government and prefer to behave like she knows nothing. The part when her father was caught and was forced to wore the handcuffs. I felt sad and pity to the girl because she does not deserve to see that and for being blind of what’s happening. So that’s why the lived with their grandparent’s house because they don’t have a house to go too.As days passed by, they go back to the house where they use to call a safe house and the people who were there see it as a safe heaven. She just remembered those days where there’s many people visiting the place and all the things that there doing while they were still in there. One day there’s this man who approaches her and ask it was a friend of his dad, it was a good decision of her because she told the guy that his father no longer lives here and let the man go on where he wants to go. She was terrified and in the pit of disgrace on account of her dad's doing, she would not like to be important for the disorder or bedlam that her dad may brought upon. I do believe that she has the bravery from his father but she tried her best to not follow the doings that make enemies of the law. For me the decision that she made is right because we all don’t want ta bring back the bad memories although there is still a good side in it but we must not focus on the past and move forward and focus on what will happen in the future. If I were in her shoes, I will do the same I will not follow the wrong doings of her father, maybe I will follow the good doing that my father has done for me and also his bravery because there’s always a good side in us. I sympathize her decision because I know the emotional pressure as we welcome others back into our lives, or even someone who was a part of our defective history, even though that person is far. I can say that she can stand in her own decisions in life without the help from others even if she has a bad past experience it wont bother her because It was the time she realized she could know for herself at last.

abuse of power and the cause of violence
People in the air do not know the bitterness of land  Do they even care When lives are turned into sand
They wage a war against the helpless  because of a crown and a distasteful powers. “Eat the rich”, that’s what they say
The world showers bullets, they’re no longer rain The world is filled with hatred  with an individuals ragging pain
Lives are taken like how bullets are rained A future disappears  when humanity fades
Humanity faded, it disappeared. Blinded by power, protected by violence.

Rizal and History
So, we already know who is our national hero but some of us still doesn’t know the story behind and the risks that he took. This poem is about the conversation between Padre Faura and Pepe, Jose Rizal’s Childhood name. the part where Padre Faura was on the roof and Pepe came to him, Padre Faura thought that they were going to talk about the about the stars and all but Jose Rizal asked him about Purgatory. From that Padre already knew what Pepe is talking about because speaking of purgatory it’s where we go after we die before we rise to heaven. Pepe already knew what will happen to him and the consequences that he will face because of what he did for us. And on the part where he said that “Star still shimmering even million of miles away, the start it self is dead.” It means that even if he’s no longer here, everything that he has done for us will always be remembered and will still shine.  We see Jose Rizal as brave but deep inside he is scared but for the better of our country he risked everything that he has even his own life just for us to live peacefully and have freedom from the colonizers that’s why we should continue his legacy. He inspires to become a better person and motivates me to take education seriously because knowledge and education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.

Reading and Revolution
As we all know, there are two things that changed the perspective of the Filipino  people. Reading and revolution are two separate topics however these two played a major role in the history of the Philippines. Fro them, reading is just reading and all pure fiction. They think that reading is just fro learning and maybe fairy tales of the old days. They don’t  know the importance of literature in the old times enough for people to imagine a nation and be willing to fight for it. But because of these literatures it set us free from our ruthless past.
As what our teacher taught us on how the Spaniards treat our fellow Filipino people before. It was not easy we’ve been colonized by Spain for about 333 years, and through that span of years we’ve been suffering. All our rights as a human were taken. There were people who felt helpless and they know that if they fight back with violence they would end up dead which is why other people write their protest through literature. Through their words, they hold a power. Their revolution is by using literature. By that, they tell all the stories and hardships as people read. They learn, they got strength to fight more for their nation and for their country like what Jose Rizal, Marcelo Del Pilar and many more that’s why we must learn literature because its the only weapon that’s more powerful than a Gun and a pen that’s sharper than a Sword.
For me as a young individual and a student we must not underestimate literature but must take it seriously for it is important to us. We must not stop from learning literature despite the problem we’re facing right now like the Pandemic. We should be responsible in sharing information so that we can help our fellow Filipino people to prevent from fake information. Let’s use our knowledge and understanding from our history in the  past and continue reading and  learning cause having knowledge and education is the most powerful weapon in changing the world.

How Brgy. Punta was discovered
Tumblr media
So the story of our Barangay which is Barangay Punta of Ormoc city is that before there is no Brgy. Punta in the map of Ormoc. This Barangay is just different in the vast areas claimed and covered by Brgy Alegria. Barangay Punta is a fresh place to live and also it is good for living because it’s is easy to look for food. The people here are mostly doing fishing for a living due to various marine resources. In 1910 there’s what they call a “paraw” something like a boat that we’re doing fishing in the waters near  Punta, and the people who were in it were Eusenio Jumao-as, Emiterio Jumao-as, Andres Jumao-as , Claudio Juamo-as and Isabela Silva. As they were looking for Best the best place to do fishing. Those people were shock on how rich the marine resource of the waters near Barangay Punta, so they decided to stay in the barangay becuase it’s easy for them to look for food. And they were one of the people who discovered this Barangay
