so many moments in my family have happened in this church- baptisms, communions, confirmations, funerals- I’m not incredibly religious but it felt special to find this roll of a moment in this place

I found an undeveloped roll of film in my basement- sent it out and got back these pictures from my baby sister’s baptism

my first NFL football game
my friend is originally from Missouri and got tickets to go to the Chiefs vs Jets game now that she lives in New York
my friend thought it’d be perfect to invite me so I can be introduced to the world of football and so we could bond over the Chiefs because I love Taylor Swift
we even got lucky to be at the same game as Taylor (photo 6 circled lol)
this was my second time that year being in the same MetLife Stadium as Taylor Swift (May 28th, Night 3 of The Eras Tour)
the chiefs won… tayvoodoo

beacon trip
I forgot how important it is to use the flash again and was too embarrassed to use it inside at the donut shop
we all took photos of our mouths full of donut but it’s hard to tell because of the noise
this was a fun day

all nighter for the sunrise. may 5th 2023
may 4th, the last day of the semester
buzzing from the day of farewells and hugs goodbye we just could not sleep
we made the trip out to our special waterfront park and skipped stones until the sun came up
6 am the ferry pulled in and transported its passengers, dropping off their riders and welcoming new ones
when the sky was fully lit the excitement of staying up had worn off.
we got bagels and went to a different park where I took that last photo, one of my favorites
sesame seed bagel lightly toasted with vegetable cream cheese

my first trip up north. January 6th 2021
we stayed at the hotel at Hunter mountain but the mountain area was closed for some reason I don’t remember
this trip was scenically beautiful and I wish I took more pictures
I can’t snowboard

DIA beacon: Beacon, New York
my local art museum holds a special place in my heart
sometimes there are installations there that don’t make much sense but it’s the point because it’s abstract and you can find some meaning in there somewhere that is personal to you that other people could never dig up
it’s one of my favorite places to be
the creak of the wood floor, everyone’s slow quiet pace, the way we stand around a piece
observing and nodding and staring
