voicethread
It was interesting to read the post on using Voicethread to record and continue discussions on "How I Learn." I liked the focus on thinking about learning and the way that students were given the opportunity to hear their teachers' thoughts on learning and then reflect on this and their own learning.

Week 3
found it hard to stay ‘on course’ this week, again lots of resources- too many? better when with comments of how people used them, how they went. re-membering how much already used tools for different purposes... need to keep a blog/library and ‘sort’ to keep track

mlearning & problem-solving
for me mobile learning is using mobile devices such as a mobile phone in learning. so as a tutor you can upload content onto the web and students can download info, task assessment info not only from a desk top but an ipad, or a mobile phone, many many students have mobile phones but may not be able to afford other mobile devices for accessing the internet. For VE learners mobile devices eg phones could be used to record their assessments demonstrating key competencies and then uploading what they have done to be assessed. Problem-based learning could also include mlearning or not, a problem that might need to be solved could take place in the classroom or in the workplace where students say as apprentice mechanics are asked to service a car...they need to work out and apply their learning to a 'real' life scenario

mlearning & feedforward
love idea of captured evidence from Borders case study...takes onus off learner having to provide telephone-book length evidence of their learning and allows for demonstration of vocational skills and learning, can be re-viewed stored and assessors may not have to be physically present either

Week 2 gaps, realities
thinking about gaps between what I want to do, what I am able to do and what I cannot do on-line: time/workload; costs updating my own technology to cope with free apps; gaining approval for ‘unapproved’ resources...

the note/post on learning styles is an interesting one; for me more complex but a useful way of opening discussions about how we learn
