Liminal space.
Der große Drang, die Barriere zwischen mir und der Welt zu überwinden. Diese dünne, dünne Linie. Die mit scheinbar wenig Aufwand durchbrochen werden kann, und deren Existenz dennoch Existenzen bricht.

on love for life
“Biomimicry is not new. It’s new to us in western, industrialised culture. We can learn anything, except maybe our ethics and morals, from nature. How to communicate, how to collaborate, how to heal. Radical empathy for the earth.”
This is a heartfelt conversation on reframing the narrative of innovation, and shifting the questions we ask from purely capitalist interests (how much / how fast / how soon) to questions that are conducive to life: what do we need to do, to let earth heal? Earth knows how to heal itself, we just have to let it do its thing.
Janine Benyus “Biomimicry - an operating manual for earthlings” in conversation with Krista Tippet on “On Being”

on mothering
“One of the hardest realizations in life, and one of the most liberating, is that our mothers are neither saints nor saviors - they are just people who, however messy or painful our childhood may have been, and however complicated the relationship, have loved us the best way they knew how, with the cards they were dealt and the tools they had. It is a whole life’s work to accept this elemental fact, and a life’s triumph to accept it not with bitterness, but with love.” (Florida Scott-Maxwell, from Maria Popova’s weekly “The Marginalian”)

In den Gefühlen.
In den Zwischentagen.
Im Nachgeben, im Zulassen, im Weich werden,
liegen der Ursprung des Friedvollen.
Im Aussprechen, im Einatmen,
Im Loslassen, liegt Versöhnung.
Im Aussprechen, im Einatmen,
Im Loslassen, liegt weich werden.

groundbreaking truths
“Oppression really is the attempt to ensure that some people experience pain, with the hopes that other people wouldn’t. And to organise the world and society in that way, in the attempt to kind of outsource pain. And that concentrated ultimately in the people that we’ve deemed less valuable. And we do that through systems. But I wanted to really illuminate that what we’re talking about is peoples lives. It’s not just an idea or a theory, oppression. But that it exists as a million traumas, that aren’t heard. It exists as a decreased life span. Time that people don’t get to have. Presence that people don’t get to have with their loved ones. That’s what it actually means.”
