☀ : That piercing gaze! She forgets how blunt this one was in particular! But so activates her defenses, as laugh brings focus... elsewhere. It wasn't so much a big a deal! Just "--Oh it's nothing much!" Something that'll be made more obvious as they neared the kitchen, and the freshly burnt smell fills their noses.

"I... might still be learning your modern tools.." A simple fire works better than most the things here if she might add! Ah but not like there was a place for. So slips a scoff as she exhales, nearing closer to what could be salvaged. "It's like I told you! Dinner will just be a bit later than planned. Surely you can wait until then? Perhaps I can fetch you a bath in the meantime?" They must be tired after a long day, no?

Cynthia would've definitely melted for the maid-style fox housewife before her and forgiven any transgression she was trying to sweep under the rug. However unluckily for Tamamo, Samus was the first one home today and though she was charmed by her entrance and appearance, she wasn't about to let the last part go unnoticed as the mistress of the house might've.

"...and what sort of mistake would that be...?" Samus's eye twitched a bit, willing enough to at least hear her out while enjoying the show, but still bracing herself for what might be waiting for her further inside. She crossed her arms and followed the fox wife inside, having enough experienced with gremlins and other mischief makers running around the villa to have at least some idea of what was going on.
