Our little Buddy here was quite the trouble maker when he swallowed one of his toys. His quick thinking owners brought him in right away and we were able to surgically remove the ball before it caused any serious damage. He went home as if nothing happened the crazy little man! Warning! Graphic surgical images! Meet Frida. This sweet little girl came to us in a lot of discomfort. Upon examination, and x-rays, we discovered she had what is known as a pyometra. This means her uterus had become infected and was quickly filling with blood and pus. Not the most pleasant sounding disease to describe but it must be surgically removed as soon as possible when discovered as it can be extremely dangerous as it continues to fill up and expand. Luckily, her owners did not hesitate when they noticed Frida was not acting herself. We were able to remove her uterus safely and Frida got some good bed rest, fluid therapy and most importantly cuddle therapy. The adorable Baby Milo. This handsome guy was a little too rambunctious and tore one of his nails. His diligent owners did not hesitate and came in right away to get him all fixed up. He ended up sporting a spiffy shark bandage for a few days. Meet the very dapper Dudley. He was rushed to us because he could not use his back legs, was very stiff and in a lot of pain. After sedating this handsome dude, we were able to perform a thorough examination and radiographs without causing any stress on him. Dr.G diagnosed him with a luxated patella along with minor disc compression. Dudley was sent home with pain medication and very strict bed rest. We will be checking up on this sweet boy to ensure he is improving. This sweet girl, Mocha, came to us with a horrible cough. We discovered she had kennel cough. Kennel cough is highly contagious among dogs and is typically contracted in places that see high volumes of dogs such as dog parks or boarding facilities. Meet the very sweet and extremely timid Wolfy. He came to us for a neuter from a rescue called Paws Across the Water. He is currently with an amazing foster home and already has a family ready to adopt him and show him a loving forever home. Meet Handsome Harry! Harry came to us during emergency hours suffering from difficult breathing, dyspnea, excessive drooling and an extremely high fever. We admitted him immediately into our Intensive Care Unit for oxygen therapy. After twelve hours in our ICU, extremely close monitoring, several fluffy blankets and an endless amount of love and cuddles, Henry bounced back to his normal and healthy self. We are so happy and relieved he is doing so well.
