Shifting your weight on me
And I broke
You stood there and provoked
I drowned in false hope
Alive when he showed his face
Understand me, that’s all it takes
I said it twice a day
How sadness made my limbs sway
As he massaged the hurt away
I sat in his embrace until the next day.

I have come to realize that I love with a love that is beyond love and for that I have suffered and learned to limit my giving and give just enough to avoid hurt and unbearable heartbreak For the past of mine is none but rough like the concreted streets after a terrible earthquake

He dreamed
With his eyes closed, often
Silently walking
Onto planes headed to Boston
Because that’s where he found it
The reason he schemed
Make this make me believe
That I am more than an image
Another day dream for my
Lines of vintage cloth
That linger down the sides of her face
Help me get lost
I don’t want to awake from this
Given to me by heavens doors only
What a wonderful gift

To my delight the sun slipped in
Burning the flesh of its skin
I turned away in horror of the sight
The sun sizzled, there was so much light
The scene so gruesome I cant even look
For this will go in our history books
The story the vampire tried to kill me
But sun deflected, ashes they will be.

Frost hit the tips of my finger tips
Making it hard to feel his soft lips
Now cold but I try to warm them up
I sense his lack for romance or love
His skin so pale I could have lied
Ive seen a ghost
No just a shell now, inside
I guided my hands down his face
As I wept my hands went around his waist
I scooped him up into my arms
Carrying him to his grave
What have I done…..

Coals burned in her eyes
As she yearned for more
To see little toes pressed against the floor
Slightly confused at the displacement
For kids don’t loom in the halls of this basement
She found the courage to get up from her seat
Only to be met with a handful of teeth
The necklace fell around her feet
She couldn’t move, for heaven’s sake, no
She looked around for the ten toes
But only to find them bare as bones
That little girl was only 6
Dying from yellow fever
She used to suck on her swollen tongue
Sensitive to light
That’s what made her numb
To the pain that was done to her teeth
As the tooth fairy pulled them out from underneath.

The rain slid down his face
His eyes like melted Hershey kisses
Oh, how bad I wanted to kiss
The apologies that swept my ears
Only stabbed my heart
One million spears
I almost called into the wind
To smite your crooked grin
You leaned over and whispered in my ear
I tore away from your breath as it sent chills
I covered my eyes to not hear…

Existing in evolution
We are formed from potter’s clay
A homo solution
or sapiens if you may.
established from Latin tongues
WE once known as "wise men"
Now putting labels of material on one’s skin
flesh consuming the soul of one’s spirit
abstract in distinct proportions of my Melanin
To his pale complexion none
other than just a fellow homo sapiens
We a species judged from a complexion point of view.
Wise men they've called us
Threw the window of the provocative
alluring from the vines of the shibari woman
we are confidants of evolution
you must see
we hold the power only
just the key
to the house you call a home
when it has been unlocked in your heart
fulfilling it with sweet lavender and effervescent promises to start
only a stride so confident and proud
struck his eyes from the secret garden
of black-eyed Susan’s
for these are wise woman
standing to evolve our prefrontal cortex
once we wept for the shaming of
one’s sex. Explicit actions
to be looked upon as
enticements for men’s eyes only
they call to our loins,
from seats in dark rooms
to streets of sunny stones.
We embody beauty
from the curve of our lips
wrapped around fingertips
to our hands that caress
the spot-on soft skin near hips
as they interlock.
We are the element of delivery
For you will receive all as after shock
echoes of piano keys
vibrate through my skin
as my body evaporates in
cat calls through the wind
I am strong
prideful for only actions
premeditated as shoulder blades
touch spines and
chins touch the blue horizon
elegance pours from
the honey dipped cocoon
we await the gloriously incomprehensible
existence of the human form
kissed from royalty
we preserve the subconscious
thoughts that flamboyantly
conceive flawless consequence
for we must not persuade future minds
only to expose that one’s self is explored through
the orbiting of self-perspective reality
