I like to imagine they first met in a sandbox at recess in like kindergarten or preschool. Like Richie would call him over bc Eddie would be like standing weirdly in a corner or smth. Or Eddie would find an excuse to talk to him so he could make a new friend by doing exactly what's happening in the drawing. I want this to be the start of their friendship. Sandbox Reddie. Honestly if someone told me "Beep beep" instead of shut up everytime they wanted me to shut up I think that shit would hurt SO MUCH MORE. Like imagine ur making a joke and u think its funny but then your friends are like "Beep beep" instead of "Shut up" HOW IS THAT NICER? I DON'T GET IT. LIKE OKAY IF I WENT TOO FAR JST SAY THAT DON'T USE LIKE AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT PHRASE TO TELL ME I'M ANNOYING? JUST TELL ME U WANT ME TO STFU. If it wasn't obvious from the tags and shit this is me talking about Richie from IT and how in the book (from what I know about it I haven't fully read through it yet) people say "Beep beep Richie" when he goes too far or smth. I've also seen people use that phrase a LOT in fanfics and shit. I actually have no idea how Richie himself feels when people say this to him jst in my personal opinion if my friends said that to me, I would have a depressed baby moment. Ik some people probably see it as a nicer way of saying it but my friends coming up with a different way to tell me to shut up would make me cry. Bc how often do they need to say shut up that they felt the need to make a phrase specifically for it; for me. Idk just a nice little toilet thought I had.

ngl, i love eddie being a fucked up little man and richie having to come to terms with that.

richie finally being with his first love, and his first love is just like "if we don't have several kinds of cold medicines i will die." and richie is just like "yep ok googling holistic home remedies now im locking the medicine cabinet."

he does full comedy sets about eddie and in interviews he gets "is your partner really like that or is it just for laughs?" and he's like "i assure you my lover did actually get vitamin d toxicity from taking several different brands of vitamins we have the hospital bill to prove it" or "yeah i have to make his doctor's appointments for him or he just won't ever go but i also have no idea where he gets some of his prescriptions from otherwise"

a fat person will rightfully say that it's fucked up that a fat character becomes thin whether in canon or fanon, and then some smartass will come up and be like "um aCTUALLY being fat is bad so it's an improvement for this character to be thin!!!"

So this might be a little controversial for some people in the fandom. But honest opinion, I think the idea of Richie and Eddie having Pomeranians in the future is like really bad. Because like if you realistically think about it they saw an innocent looking dog turn into this demon thing right in front of them. If they got a dog of the same exact breed in the future, then they'd likely be so traumatized that everytime they look at a dog they get scared it'll turn into whatever that thing was again. Ontop of that, it'll bring up SO MUCH trauma from the fight with IT and yk the fact that it ruined their entire childhood into adulthood. So yeah I think its cute in maybe an au where they never went through any of that to begin with. The idea is adorable if you just don't think abt how traumatic that fight was for them. And ig if we can change that Eddie ever died to begin w then might as well get rid of the dog trauma right? But yeah I just find the idea insensitive. But just my opinion.
