Editblr feels really gatekeepy in how to make graphics, layouts ect you literally have to go through trenches before you can find any tuts :/

Anywho, I feel that the community never seems to pull small editors into editing overused sources so they are recognised, instead of letting others edit small sources, for example I post a lot of self indulgent 8:11 graphics and never get reblogs from other editors due to such a small source even with 200 followers it seems no one cares for event or polls I plan, we should like editors for they’re style and skill not the sources they edit!

Fellow editer here! I personally feel like the editblr community is getting more pressuring when I come to amount of edits you should post, having to post everyday feel a chore rather than a hobby now, and when you go on big hiatus it feels like your ignoring your requests.

maybe its just the blogs i end up interacting with but id love to see more outlandish or "original" blog themes..? genuinely not saying the ones ppl commonly use r bad!! im more so saying that its hard to find other ppl in the community w similar obscure interests bc so many themes r similar to one another...

n thats furthered by the fact im not into popular theme medias like honkai, needy streamer, project sekai, etc... :(

sometimes, it feels like editblr users are having a competition of who can have the most inaccessible blog. like at least have a link to an disabled friendly version of what you post. also, why does every editblr blog look the same???

i wish people could just be more inspired instead of using the same base things with only slight changes. i feel like editblr has the potential to be really cool, but it feels like it's hit a huge stop in the road and can't go forth anymore. which is super disappointing because i think editblr could be a really beautiful community if it just didn't repeat the same problems over and over again until the issues are too big to ignore.

i feel like people are all using the same base layouts because editblr can be very toxic if your edits aren't "perfect." which means the safer option would obviously be to just do whatever everyone else is doing so you don't stand out from the crowd. i wish editblr was nicer to beginners so people could focus on making unique and fun graphics instead of just following what everyone else is doing at the moment.

editblr feels like the perfect way for self expression (especially for those who cant code their own blog layout or those on mobile) so seeing everything just confirm to some weird edit beauty standard (i genuinely dont know how else to describe it) is awful.

sorry for being so negative i just wish the community could improve a little more

honestly dni and unfollow me if you support mama after all she's done. she literally has consulted medical professionals over and over and refused to change her behavior re: those under her care. she LITERALLY called the doctor, MORE THAN ONCE, and the doctor very fucking clearly said no more monkeys jumping on the bed. and what happens five fucking seconds later every single time

a weird thing is that we got waves of people going "who cares if its cringe or youre annoying! have fun!" but no one really learned how to accept the fact that some people will find you annoying or think your art or your work or posts or anyrhing sucks and thats ok. rather it just became a weird "if people think youre annoying theyre just morally bad. let people enjoy things!". like no i think this yes man only biome sucks and people are allowed to not like artstyles and shows and media and other things

Sorry if this gets a little aggressive I just need to get this off of my chest but jirai kei stuff is SO irritating it's literally just romanticizing "yanderes" and BPD repackaged into a different term.

I'm saying this as someone who deals with BPD symptoms and has for years, please, if being mentally ill and explosive and unstable is a big enough part of your personality that you make it your username or identity get help. This goes for "yandere" people too. Get therapy. DBT helps, I'm so serious my symptoms have improved so much and I'm genuinely so much less likely to explode on people. There are free DBT handbooks online. But stop making it look cute, okay?

(also if you aren't Japanese you shouldn't be using words that have been used derogatorily to Japanese women specifically..)
