The MOGAI community is like a constantly burning library of Alexandria. I will always respect a bloggers reason for deactivating but I wish people would archive blogs rather than leaving.

i get that it's their own blog and they can do whatever they want but i honestly hate it when they make their theme so hard to read. like light pink text on white background?? the thing they do when entire paragraphs are written in superscript?? i cant even read their pinned post 😭😭 and this is coming from someone with no visual impairment like again, that is your blog and you can do whatever. go crazy with the colors, use typing quirks all you want. and to be honest, i love it when people express themselves.

but if your blog is something like a request-based editing blog and you want people to interact with you, at least make it a little viewer friendly?

i feel like editblr REALLY needs to get it together. like don't get me wrong, i love you guys (some of you), but literally yall do too fucking much omg.. i dont care if someones endo personally, but if there weird about it and yada yada i'll block them, because as long as their not harming YOU or OTHERS it really doesnt matter, theyre just living life bro. i dont care (i do but like, idk them so i drgaf) about proshippers, yes, its gross and stuff, but at the end of the day, i dont know this person - what should i do to make them stop interacting with me ? block them!!!! i also dont get why people put their personal stuff in their rentries (mental illnesses etc) and like, vent about their problems on their blog.. you're literally giving ppl ammo to just use against you.

as someone with traits that are more then similar to HPD , I sometimes feel like editblr isn’t my place AT ALL. Seeing people flock to everyone except me makes me feel like shit, but at the same time I love interacting with my friends and posting edits and all that. It just stresses me out seeing other people that id say are on around the same skill level as me get like 10 billion more notes. I’m not a part of the „big“ editors, but I’m not a small unknown blog either. A lot of people know me and I get frequent requests, but when it comes to interacting with me outside of making me do something for them, everyone suddenly doesn’t know me. ~💄

the only things a really like about being an unnoticed editor is that

i can have a social life without having to post 24/7

I'm not being blasted for my opinions or being "cancelled"

none of my past friends/abusers can make fun of my social media accounts

bc i dont know fucking anyone irl in editblr which is godsend

everything else kinda fuckin sucks ngl

I'm gonna hold your hand as I tell you this, anon... having a different opinion on a ( at this point, stupid ) discourse doesn't give you the right to harass someone. Especially since it's online. Sit down. Nothing - such as an online discourse as stupid and useless as syscourse is - will EVER give you the reason or right to harm or harass someone.

honestly, editing is pretty hard sometimes because it really hard to find recourse sometimes,, especially if your like me who randomly decides “i can never use this twice ima. row. ever.”

Once you start harassing people over their tastes in fiction, you've gone too far.

You should not be sending anon hate.

You should not be telling people to kill themselves.

You should not be contacting people's family members, job, or school.

You should not be sending people gore.

You should not be telling people that they deserve their trauma.

You should not be attacking people over liking something fictional. At that point, you're the problem. Not the person making things you don't like, YOU. Harassment is never acceptable.

I am literally fucking BEGGING you all to also acknowledge the racism behind the terms "non-man" and "non-woman" and how they're used in queer definitions.

Black and Indigenous queer people have literally been talking about this since the definition was COINED but there's literally NO acknowledgement of this when pointing out why "non-men loving non-men" and "non-women loving non-women" are shitty fucking definitions to force on a whole community.

"Nonman" and "nonwoman" are terms that have been historically used to describe the degendering of black people in society. And words can obviously be used to mean different things- we don't have to stop using these terms altogether. But forcing these terms on a whole community of queer people is really fucking antiblack.

Not to mention that it blatantly degenders a lot of 2S lesbians and gays as well. It basically tells them that they can't be 2S and as a lesbian or gay at the same time, because then they would be "contradictory." I seriously hope I don't have to explain how racist it is to exclude a large portion of Two-Spirit people from your queer label because they don't fit into your neat little white gender binary.

Like these definitions aren't bad to use for yourself personally- but stop forcing them on all lesbians/gays. And if you're advocating for why these shouldn't be used as the most prominent definition, PLEASE acknowledge the racism aspect of it.

Ik editblr drama is annoying but you need to remember that majority of the community are teens, of course there's going to be drama..
