Eden had been hanging around Eli’s work place, glad to see him and finding it exciting to simply hang around her friend. And then a customer had assumed she was a waitress, and while she had admitted she was not, she had chosen to help out, seeing that the staff was a little overwhelmed. So she had decided to step in, taking cups and plates back to the kitchen, taking orders and writing them down before passing them to the barista and serving them when they were done. Checking the outside section, she noted that one of the customers had an empty cup. Can I take that for you?” she asked with a small smile, aware that it was a bit strained given the high level of her socializing which she wasn’t always the best at. “Oh no no, please stay as long as you like.”
Torryn paused when someone got her attention, the fae perking up and almost looking a little twitchy, having parked herself outside of a coffee shop. The womans hands were clasped around a coffee cup and it was clear that she’d gotten rather addicted to the beverage during her time in Firebrand. She was clearly riding caffeine highs. It was a rare occasion where Torryn was actually trying to fit in, having hidden her horns and huge wings. “If you were wanting this table, I am just about done. I should probably leave at some point today or I fear that I never will” she almost buzzed.

On her lunch break, which was a bit new to her, having one outside of the work place, Whitney had taken to the street. She didn’t really have a lot of money, like most traitors there really wasn’t much she was able to own. But she rarely missed an opportunity to look and experience. Walking about town, she was drawn to the candy shop. It was the kind that had a big flashy display, making you water at the mouth simply looking at it. Coming to a stop by the window, she hadn’t even seen the male beside her before he spoke. “They do. I would die for just one.” she said with a wistful smile. “Are you going in?” she asked him, taking a second to look away from the window.

Today was Vered’s birthday. Quite frankly, he didn’t very much like his birthday, or at least he’d come not to like it after he’d lost his family. Besides, it felt…wrong to celebrate something so inconsequential this year. And though he’d tried to find strength in surviving another year, what was so special about that? Needing some time to himself, Vered had taken the day off work and found himself wandering the city as he’d done so many days before. It was amazing how alone he could feel here despite the thousands of beings that surrounded him at any given moment. Stopping outside of a sweet smelling shop, he briefly admired the candy displayed in the window. He had a vicious sweet tooth and something sugary always made him feel slightly better…
Feeling someone stand beside him he offered a soft smile but kept his gaze on the shop. “They look lovely, don’t they?”

witch-salazar:
“You know you can talk to me about what’s going on inside that little head of yours, right?” He reassured, tirning to look at her “Did something happened that day that I should know about?” Arching his brow he sighed, shrugging and making a hesitant sound “I don’t like that kind of enviroment toi much, I preffer quieter gatherings or more violent and raw ones”
Eden watched his face very closely as he spoke. Did he really mean that? It was hard for her to trust her own kind after the way her coven had turned their back on her. After the ways her mother had reacted to her supposed ‘treachery’. How did she know that he wouldn’t be just like them? “And you won’t tell me I deserve everything that happens to me here?” she asked quietly. “I kind of figured someone would have told you given the nuisance I was during the rebel attack.. loosing control and nearly burning down half the city..” her features tightened just thinking about it. Both ashamed of her own lack of control, and scared it might happen again. “Violent and raw ones huh? I didn’t know that was your thing.”

fae-kheelan:
He frowned at her words, really the way her coven treated her was something he really couldn’t wrap his head around “But…they were your family why would they treat you like that, just because you fell for a human?” He huffed. At the mention of him being dead and the way he died he looked down “I’m really sorry to hear that, revenge is not a good reason for anyone to die”
His frown made her struggle with the dual urge to laugh, but also to cry. It wasn’t that the emotions she felt when she talked about her arrest and how her coven had responded to her actions were new, but revisiting them was difficult. Forcing her to look at the turn of events again and recall the hurt she had felt when not even her own mother had stood up for her. When none of her friends, people she’d grown up with and known since early childhood, had bothered to object or visited her after.. it was as if they’d all closed the door on her in unison. Truth be told she had never felt more alone than in the weeks afterwards. “You’d have to ask them.. though I suppose their excuses would go along the lines of being afraid of the council. You see in their eyes I not only broke the law, but I also fornicated with the enemy. Turned against my own.. its not my truth but I wouldn’t be surprised if its theirs..” she said, quietly shaking her head. “Thanks.. It isn’t, no. Though in hindsight, he did escape, and I kind of envy him sometimes. Because he doesn’t have to endure any of this. And as much as I miss him, it would have been devastating to watch him be used and abused, neither of us able to help or rescue the other.”

wiccanxgen:
Part of her wasn’t sure why she was doing this. It was easier to stay away from other witches, safer. But….since that night, everything had been changing for her, and Gen found that she wanted to..be around other witches some more. She wanted to learn. Not to mention there was something about the other witch; something kindred–the other full of grief and upset and uncontrolled power like she herself was. The only difference was the collar around Eden’s neck. and Gen’s lack of knowledge of all things witchcraft. Hence the bag hanging off her arm, full of books and potion ingredients.
“I um…I’m alright. I was just in the bookshop in town..um..picking up some things. And you? You’re…looking better. Than last time we met anyways.”
It was impossible not to notice the bag on her arm, with the logo of the book store. If there was one place Eden would have chosen to work beside as an assistant, it would be the book store. She’d always loved to read and write down her own thoughts. To find a thought or an emotion to turn into a poem or a rhyme. Of course she also loved to draw but she’d always thought she was better at writing than drawing. Seeing Gen again reminded Eden of just how out of touch she was with her own powers, not to mention her own kinds legacy. It had been something she’d actively shyed away from her entire life, and she still did.
“I can see that. Did you find anything worth reading? Its nice to hear though. I still feel like I owe you a thank you after the way you helped me out last time. I’m okay. And thanks, though to be fair that wasn’t under the best of circumstances. But yeah, I’m better now with my collar back on.”

“I like that. The boldness.” Eden said with a small but genuine smile, a tiny bit surprised when she felt the mistresses lips nip hers. Now that didn’t feel like a dismissal, not in the slightest. “Really? Don’t all of your kind leave slaves and traitors alike freshly fucked? Though I do hope you decide against killing me. I rather like living.” she pointed out with a small shrug, pretty certain that if the succubi mistress did fuck her again too quick she would keel over and die from energy loss.

“Well, at least you admit to it instead of pretending otherwise. Thats something.” Eden said with a small shrug. She was used to the white lies and the spun truths, getting the cold hard truth was a refreshing change. Her answering smile was mostly a fake one. “You can afford to be.” she nodded a bit, pulling up her panties and pants, glad none of it had been shredded during their encounter. Crossing her hands in front of her chest, she met the succubi’s eyes. “You didn’t kill me.”
“I don’t see a need for being dishonest when I’m as bold as this” she chuckled, giving a soft nip at the others lips before making a curious noise at her statement “Well, it would probably be suspicious if I did kill you, especially with the freshly fucked state you’re in, but who is to say that I won’t just kill you later when I become hungry again?”

dimitri-obriain:
He nodded, he could understand her words, it made him feel bad, he wished he could do something to help her out, Dimitri didn’t do it on purpose, he just got so caught up on being a dog and playing around that he completely forgot some people couldn’t notice that he was actually a man, but again, when he turned into himself he never actually got in trouble which help his reckless side. “I thought I was being very obvious.” He said, he didn’t mind admitting that he was flirting with her, however now in his human form, naked, he had to be a little more careful, otherwise his member would get hard soon and give him away since he wouldn’t exactly be able to hide it. “I’m flirting with you, I would like to do more than just flirt, but please feel free to tell me to shut up.” He said with a smile, he didn’t wanted to force her into anything she didn’t wanted after all
Eden gave a weak smile, recognizing the pity on his eyes, wishing he wouldn’t have any reasons to pity her, and yet there were plenty. She wasn’t wearing manacles, but she was spouting a collar. Stripped of her powers, at everyones beck and call. At least he had come around to play and simply be around her. As he was both handsome and kind, she felt at ease. It was rare that anything might happen organically between her and a superior. Most just demanded what they wanted. “Yes you were.” she slowly nodded, a small smirk on her lips. She truly wouldn’t mind if they ended up having some genuine fun together. “I wouldn’t mind doing more than just flirting with you. So you don’t have to shut up at all.” Slipping out of her shoes she ran the lower sole of her feet across his bare chest. “Too bad you’re so far away.”

“Well that is okay,” Del shrugged her shoulders as she looked at the other girl. “We don’t have to party, there is literally so much I want to do!” She gushed and nearly squeaked with excitement. “I mean just about everything sounds exciting to me which I know must seem ridiculous.” She glanced around them with a heavy sigh.
“Eden that is pretty, and it suits you too,” she winked before pulling her shoulders up and turning to start walking with the other. “Well I don’t know if I’m that nice, honestly I’m just lonely and want company.” She explained with a wave of her had. “Are you in the mood for anything particular? I am up for anything….just not seafood,” She got enough of that back home after all.
“Yeah?” Eden couldn’t help but ask, unfamiliar with being met with understanding rather than orders or waved hands. The other had to be new to this place, she just had to. “Ahm, alright. What do you want to do? Maybe if we make a list I can tell you which one of your to do’s I’d be best suited for?” she suggested gently, smiling a bit as it was hard not to find the others excitement infectious. “You haven’t been in this city long, have you?” Eden asked curiously.
“Thank you. You’re actually not the first person to tell me that. Delphina.. is that greek?” she stepped forward, walking at a slow pace as they hadn’t really landed on where to go to eat yet. “Compared to most superiors I’ve met, you are. But I’m never averse to offer company.” she said with a small shrug. Especially not if she got to be a part of deciding what was going to happen. “Hmm.. how about trying out one of the diners? They have the best burgers and milkshakes. I could use a bit of both.” Comfort food was always her first choice.

witch-salazar:
“Everyone has their own point of view of things, I find it relaxing because I’m allowed to” He said without looking at her, hoping that she knew what he meant. Humming in agreedment “Yeah I feel the same, but at least there weren’t any accidents” shrugging he ran a hand through his hair “Were you rented?”
“Yes well, you always were more liberal and empathic than most. Allowed to? Yeah thats one way of saying it.” she said with a small headshake, struggling to keep her bitterness to herself. He was the last person she thought it wise to discuss her feelings of being collared and caged for the rest of her life. He might be kinder to her than other traitors but he was still on the council that had made the laws she was suffering under. “Guess thats something.” truth be told there had been enough turbulence in the city. Softly shaking her head, Eden let her feet be submerged in the water. “No.. I served food with the rest of the unrented ones. Did you enjoy yourself?”

succubus-theodora:
“Oh me, completely. I always make sure that the game is rigged in my favor. All part of being a demon, sweetie” she said simply, patting the girls cheek “Entirely selfish” she chuckled lowly and then slowly released the witch from her grasp, running her hands over her own body as she came down from the brilliant high of a feed- far better than any orgasm she found. “How so?” she wondered, looking back to the traitor.
“Well, at least you admit to it instead of pretending otherwise. Thats something.” Eden said with a small shrug. dimitri-obriain:
Dimitri sat down and moved closer to her, slowly and gently moving his hand toward her face to place the hair in front of her face on the back of her ear. “You’re beautiful, you shouldn’t try to hide it.” He said with a smile. “Honestly, you would be surprise how many times that happens.” He chuckled. “The witch I have a bound with took me home as a dog, and allowed me to sleep on her bed, it was a very weird morning.” He said trying to make her feel better. “I don’t mind, I love being naked, specially if you like what you see.” He said with a wink at her.
Eden coldn’t help the wariness passing over her eyes as he moved his hand towards her, but given that she hadn’t had any bad experiences with him before, she didn’t pull back. If her cheeks hadn’t been burning before, they sure were now. Looking down for a moment, she smiled softly. “Ahm, thats sweet of you. Though in this place, hiding anything that makes me attractive always seems like a safer bet.” she admitted quietly. When he said it had happened a lot before, the ‘full on naked man in place of cute dog’ scenario, she grinned. “I guess I would be.” she agreed, given that she hadn’t known it was a thing. Though she did wonder if he did it purposefully, or if he just didn’t care that much what anyone saw. “Bet that was quite a shock for her. You’re lucky to be bound though.” she did feel a little less stupid though. As if her burning cheeks didn’t give her away? Eden shifted a bit on the bench, playfully nudging his rib cage with her foot. “Are you flirting with me mister?” she asked, teasing still though underneath, genuinely curious to know.

delphinathemermaid:
.
Delphina looked at the seemingly young fresh faced brunette girl who smiled at her. She canted her head to the side a little curious by her words. “Oh come on now, everyone can have a fun time with the right influence everyone can have a little fun.” She teased with a playful wink as she looked over at the other girl. She did however seem more put together than Del.
“Delphina,” she introduced with a playful smile. “And I’m thinking right now I want to try something yummy,” she said as she hummed and lightly patted her stomach. “Would you wanna come with me? It would be so nice to have some company, especially someone as cute as you.” She was aware that if she wanted to she could be more insistent that they join her. But Del was always more honey than vinegar. Perhaps that was just the merfolk in her.
Eden took a small breath, barely managing not to let it come back out into a sigh. She wasn’t the partying type. Crowds made her feel claustrophobic and uneasy, loud music was annoying, and lots of people invading her space was not her version of a good time. Yet the taller blonde did not seem to take to her attempt at avoiding the matter. “I’m not saying you’re wrong, I’m just not the best choice to party with. Its not my style.” she tried to explain, keeping her light smile in place, aware that the other hadn’t pulled rank or given a command. That bode well.
“Eden.” she calmly offered back. Yummy? Oh food. Biting her lip a little, Eden had to admit she was a little hungry. She wasn’t one to turn down free food without thinking about it twice. “Alright, I’ll come with. And ahm, thanks miss? You’re nice to offer.” she said, deciding to be brutally honest as it was a little unusual for her to be offered anything from a superior. Most of the time they only wanted things. Your body, your story, your pain.. Maybe the mistress was new.

witch-salazar:
Looking over his shoulder whe he recognized the voice he smiled softly “Hello to you too, my dear” He said, motioning for her to sit beside him “I’m good, just relaxing around nature for a bit. And you? Did you enjoyed the ball?”
Eden gave a small smile, stepping closer and taking a seat next to him without another word. To some degree she was grateful for his gentler approach with her, one that she hadn’t expected upon seeing him again when she was placed here after the war. But on the other hand it always made her question what his reasoning might be. She’d been close to asking more than a handful of times before, but never quite had the nerve to see it trough. “It confounds me how others find it possible to relax anywhere else.” she stated, proceeding to slide off her shoes and dip her toes in the water. “Just out walking. It was alright.. a little too crowded for me if I’m being honest.”

Eden hated to be behind on paperwork, especially with having been given a new boss to report to. Which was why she had returned to the council chambers after hours, convincing the guard on post to allow her a small hour to deal with the papers she hadn’t had time to finish earlier in the day. Most of the guards were near kind to her, treating her with respect when she was within the workplace. That was something that made her feel more at ease when she did her job, but also grateful when times like this arose.
Thanking the guard, she made her way out into the darkness in a hurried step, deciding to swing around main street just to get a sense of the more electric mood that often lay in the air when night fell. She hadn’t walked far when a pretty blonde came up to her. “Depends what kind of fun you’re after? I’m not sure that I am the best choice for that though.” she bit her lip a little, uncertain if she could turn the other down.
Although this was Delphina’s first time on land. She had been sure to study up before she came to the surface. She had quizzed her sisters about all that she could. Even still she was starting to realize she was rather under prepared. The evening was upon her and she felt an almost itch to see what she could get into. No trouble, a voice in the back of her head said. Maybe a little trouble…
Del was confident, maybe some would say overly so. But she was excited, and curious, she saw someone walking down the street. They looked like an interesting person. Maybe she could tag along to wherever they were headed. “Excuse me,” she said in her gentle honey like voice. “Do you know any fun places nearby? I’m still learning the lay of the land and could use a tour guide.”

succubus-theodora:
The red head was sure to drain the witch enough to weaken her, the demon keeping a firm grip on her to hold her up if needed. The woman only chuckled when she felt the other tire in her hold “See, giving yourself over to a demon has its benefits” she murmured, speaking softly against the others lips as she allowed her to come down from the high. “Hm?” she wondered, patting the others cheek to urge a response from her.
Eden could feel the strength, what little she’d had to begin with, fade away. It left her feeling fatigued and struggling to stay on her own two feet. She could however feel the other keep her upright, which made it easier not to worry about finding her balance on her own until she had to. “Who benefits the most though?” she asked back, free from the succubi magic now that she had completed her feed, possibly. Swallowing a bit hard, Eden tried to stave off the shame and humiliation she could feel creeping in. It was inevitable though now that her mind was slowly returning to her. “I’m lucky I suppose.”

dimitri-obriain:
Dimitri looked at her confused, he always assumed that people knew he was the dog, so it never crossed his mind to say something, besides he was too focused on running after the ball and too happy to have someone to play with him to stop and say, hey I’m dimitri, wanna play with me? “Sorry… i thought you knew.” He said. “I can turn back into a dog if you prefer.” He suggested wanting to make her feel comfortable
Eden tipped her head forward to make her hair fall in front of her face to cover her cheeks, to hide the blush there, both out of embarrassment and slight humiliation. She gathered most got that the dog wasn’t a dog but a person in their animal form, whereas she hadn’t seen it at all. “No.. I didn’t.” she quietly admitted, taking a deep breath to try and gather herself. It didn’t much help that he was lying there, all naked and gloriously muscled on the grass. She’d noticed he was good looking the first time they met, but this was a whole other side of him to see. She opened and closed her mouth, not entirely sure what to say. Finally she cracked a small smile. “No no, don’t do that. Unless you mind giving me the full view and all. Not that I mind.” Her tone slightly teasing.

Eden stared out into the air, so deeply in her own head today that she was able to block the rest of the world out completely, at least for short moments of time. Darren’s birthday was coming up, and it was making her feel agitated, overwhelmed with grief and slightly.. unhinged. She wanted to be able to do all the things normal people got to do when they missed their dead loved ones. Put flowers on a grave. Light candles. Look at pictures and remember the good times they’d had together. She had none of that though. All she had were her memories, and sometimes those seemed either elusive or tinged with darkness. It was so hard to remember the good when you felt like the reminder of the bad was everywhere you looked.
The sound of a voice broke her out of her bubble, making her jump a bit as she stared at the person who had spoken. Brunette. Tall. Oh, it was the one who had helped her during the rebel attack. Gen. “Hi.” Eden replied, giving a tired smile back. “How are you doing?”
closed
Gen had just left the bookshop, bag hanging off her arm with a basic potions book and some random herbs and ingredients. She had no real idea what to do with any of it but…she had to try. So keeping the bag close to her, she was just going to head home when she saw a familiar figure sitting on a nearby bench. It took a second to place the face as to why she recognized her- until it clicked. Eden. The witch who’d lost control during the attacks last month. The witch Gen had actually been able to help….
She found herself walking over before she could even realize it and she ducked her head down a bit, trying to catch her eye and giving a shy little smile, “Hey..”
