Izuku uses his remaining strength to crawl until he can half-lean on the door, slamming his open palm as hard as he can. Annoyed curses soon come from inside the room, and that rough voice soothes him. He relaxes against the door, leaning all his weight on it. That means that when the door finally opens inwards a few moments later, Izuku loses his support and collapses into a heap inside the room.

“Izuku?!” Kacchan shouts at the evident poor state he’s in, kneeling on the floor and grabbing the fallen boy by the shoulders. Izuku hisses, and so does Katsuki. “Fuck, you’re burning up!”

“K’cchan,” Izuku slurs, eyes crisscrossed, hazy, face flushed. “S’rry t’ wake you…” Izuku mumbles again, eyes rolling in their sockets. He starts to relax now that he knows someone else can take over – can take care of him. “S’rry… I’m s’rry..."

“What the hell is going on, man?” Kirishima approaches Katsuki with concern.

Katsuki blurts out: “Got hit by a quirk. Kid clung to me on the street, asked for a picture, I felt some weird shit like a shiver, but I wanted Izuku to see that I can be nice to little kids too, so I sucked it up and didn’t mention anything. But now I keep blurting out everything I think without a filter.”

Alternatively: Katsuki gets accidentally hit by a truth-serum quirk right before a mission with Izuku, Kirishima, and Jirou. As if verbalizing every single thought in his head is not enough trouble, there’s also this: he’s in love with Izuku, and won’t be able to keep hiding it for long.
