Ghosts

I live in a house

where I feel unwanted

where the rooms are cold

and the halls are haunted

I read the writing on the wall

So I don’t go insane

The carvings and scratches

Are scars from the pain

I can’t escape from this room

Tho I wish to see the stars

The doors are locked from the outside

And the windows have bars

But I am not alone

For I keep company with ghosts

Lost love and dead memories

Of the ones I miss most

Some days I am scared

That I may never get out

It’s so lonely inside

But I’m so full of doubt

I can’t sleep it’s too cold

And quiet as a mouse

And I fear that my only escape

May be destroying this house

Starshine

Supernovas swirling stardust

Miles over the sea of space

Coalescing in the cosmos

Plotting planets in their place

A star, our Sun shining

Enlightens earth evermore

Blue skies abound brightly

Sapphire seas sleep on the shores

Green grass and glassy glaciers

Dry deserts and dusty dunes

Humans making history

Writing and reading in runes

Millennia more to the modern era

We would fill this wide world

Expanding to the earthly ends

Foreign nations and flags unfurled

We wander within this wonder

Meeting many and missing more

Questing for quality comfort

All we appreciate and adore

Chasing the chance of choices

Of finding family forged in fire

Creating the connections we crave

We imagine, invent and inspire

Time ticks away to Tartarus

Fears and hope flung far

Looking for love in this life

Souls from the same shining star

Friend

All my thoughts

Lead to despair

Even when I know

You’re still there

Words come out mixed

And so hard to say

But I just want to know

Are you okay?

It means more to me

Than I do to myself

I wish you were happier

I wish I could help

Please don’t be afraid

I’m here till the end

Because whatever I am to you

You’re my best friend

Dark Hope

Cause I feel like dying

All the tears I’m crying

Could fill all the waters of the earth

Im so sorry my lover

And I apologize my mother

I need a deep sleep surrounded by the dirt

Give me a reason

To stitch up the lesions

And stop all the

blood from my wrist

The hope is so fleeting

Without any meaning

Please tell me

It’s better than this

Awake

I can not sleep

I cry out in sorrow but

I can not weep

And the pain that’s inside me

Won’t seem to go away

My tired eyes won’t close

I’ve been stuck here for days

My body aches

My heart feels compressed

I need to get out of this space

But it’s locked up

And the key

Is lost in some dark place

Seen

I see your pain

Like a mirror to my soul

I see it eating you up

And swallowing you whole

I see your sadness

When you pretend it’s not there

I see the tears in your eyes

You hold back when you stare

I see your loneliness

And tho you love to be alone

I see the scream you want to scream

When it doesn’t feel like home

But I also see your kindness

It burns bright in your eyes

I see your sweet smile

Lighten the whole room inside

I see your compassion

Burning hot like the sun

I see the care you hold

For the unwashed and undone

I see your ethereal beauty

Much deeper than your skin

I see all the beauty in your soul too

A quiet refuge in the din

I see your wonderful mind

And that sparkle in your eyes

I see your understanding

Of all of life’s lies

I see all your love

And all the care you possess

I see your burning heart

Beating stronger than the rest

And I see you whole

And admire you so sweetly

And tho you may no believe it

I see you
