Queeranarchism,
I get you point. To simplify it to Thetetra, you were saying that we shall organize strikes to intervene with an issue instead of to make an 'statement' protesting for a change (that would only be done through legal means at a court or by legislation).
However, I sympathize with thetetra in that they were still not finding a clear distinction between a strike and a protest. for the same reason I could not validate your example escenarion of blocking an ICE van for them to release the immigrants into the crowd. Real life situations like that aren't that easy. the most most possible outcome to that escenario would be the van driving over the crowd before they release the immigrants. I like however, your initial 'material' resistance example--of hosting immigrants to hide from ICE. that to me is realistic material resistance.
What to do when the fascists take power.
Don't put your hopes in protests. Fascists won't be swayed by them. No march, hashtag or petition will change their policies. To fascists, protests are an opportunity to find our who their enemies are. Don't get caught up in the constant stream of online outrage either. Don't spend your time on every lie they tell. They want you overwhelmed and distracted.
Do organize material resistance. It can be flashy, like a large strike or organizing your whole neighborhood to block ICE. Or it can be quiet, like offering a spare bedroom to hide from raids, or making sure everyone in your trans community has access to HRT. But it has to be real, it has to be material. In some cases, you'll only be able to do it with a few you trust, but where possible: organize with people who are not like you. A lot of people who have never been into any kind of politics, are about to find out that politics is coming for them. Don't leave them to fend for themselves if you have a chance to include them.

Look at my comments on this post. I ask for the possible outcomes that ecological readjustment will have on humans if we don't reduce overshoot (or keep ignoring carrying-capacity). Of course, we're headed for climate catastrophe. But I am asking how would the human population would look like after such ecological 'readjustment' (the large-scale population death of species--which this post emphasizes).
Ecology tells us that many species overshoot their environment’s carrying capacity if they have temporary access to an unusually high level of resources. Overshoot declines when those resources return to more stable levels. This often involves large-scale starvation and die-offs as populations adjust. Access to fossil fuels has allowed us to temporarily overshoot biophysical limits. This lifted our population and demands on the biosphere past the level it can safely absorb. Barring a planned reduction of those biosphere demands, we will experience the same “adjustments” as other species. One advantage humans have over other species is that we understand overshoot dynamics and can plan how we adjust. This is what the degrowth movement is attempting to do. ... Humanity exceeds its fair share of natural resources by more than 50%, and likely needs to reduce this demand by 70-80% to operate within carrying capacity. Those with greater wealth are responsible for a disproportionately large share of overshoot. ... The climate crisis is seen as a problem requiring a solution rather than a symptom of overshoot. The problem is generally formulated as looking for a way to maintain current lifestyles in the wealthy world, rather than reducing overshoot. The ecological perspective accepts that we exceed biophysical boundaries and emphasises the importance of reducing energy and material consumption – regardless of how the energy is provided.

Inner-child breaking through (be shaking the earth 😶‍🌫️😈)
we have to accept that we cannot solve the complex problems of the world that affect our lives, Just as much as we have to accept the inner-child inside our minds who constantly demands for our desires. we act and think too logical.
And then go about making sense of an extremely complex and vast world until we cannot comprehend it, and return to our logical positions in it--inside the 4 walls of our workspace or house.
But imagine letting the inner-child (we ignore in our minds) make sense of the world, what will he see and determine to do? all of the sudden, the color of your desires come alive and inspiration come to our hours.
Now, imagine if you put your inner-child in charge of your calendar, ooh.. how many things you will accomplish! I can't wait until I can team up with other inner-child leaders!
And even though the child is not a scientist who knows to engineer things, the child knows his desires and needs more than the scientists. So, set your inner-child free

I wrote this essay out of rage against the monetary cost necessary to radically live self-sustainably. I thought that by thoroughly focusing on the origin of money, we could see further to ways humans have evolved communities without monetary currencies.
how are we to embrace traditional indigenous knowledge about our planet Earth and ecological relation to it, if we can't act in it without money? while writing this essay I stumble upon radical epiphanies about rebelling from and sabotaging the systems of our state governments--that I thought I have to teach to and share with my friends and like-minded persons. Let not the fire be alone ✊🏽.
