What to do when you don’t like a fic: a step by step guide

Step 1:

We are fanfic writers or artists in general, because we love the original work so much. 

WHY WOULD YOU LET A WRITER OR ARTIST, SPECIALLY A FAN CREATOR, KNOW THAT YOU DON'T LIKE THEIR WORK????

This would result in:

A) The author don't give a flying fuck about you not liking the work, they will just ignore you anyway.

Or in

B) Discouraging the author, (who might not have the best self steam and security in themselves), on continuing their work, possibly improving it, and in many cases, leading to them actually making a living out of it.

If you have nothing good or actually constructive thing to say, then just DON’T SAY ANYTHING and leave. Please!
