I wanted to elaborate on the cognitions in Akira’s palace cuz I wanted to in my other post but I couldn’t actually put it into enough words that would make sense-

But anyway the cognitive versions of the pt and Akechi are “broken”. As in they don’t look like people anymore and are mutated in a way. Cognitive Akechi looks more like a person than the other cognitive pt but in an uncanny valley kind of way.

This is mostly because the palace has been abandoned for so long, and since Akira is in a coma, it’s broken down even further.

The palace itself is pretty dilapidated too. Its collapsing in on itself and the cognitions are aware of it, but they can’t do much about it.

Cognitive Akechi is kind of the co-ruler (?) of the palace since Akira is, yk, “dead” and he’s the only one that can keep the place even remotely together. He’s the only reason the palace has existed for as long as it has since Akira’s “death”

Adding on to that p5 au idea I had-

(Disclaimer I haven’t fully thought about how the other pt would be in this lol this was actually a shuake - focused au I’ll figure it out later)

Like I said, everyone would die (Akechi in some freak accident and the other pt in mostly natural ways) and Akira being a god and all would live much longer than all of them and maybe even Tokyo itself. Essentially erasing every memory/reminder of his past. ~500 years go by and Akira becomes more and more lonely and has his own mental shutdown at some point. With his remaining consciousness, he creates a clone of himself and tells it to live for him, to make it seem like he’s alive and well, and to not let anyone wake him. Then puts himself into a coma to escape the despair.

That clone runs Leblanc and lives Akira’s life, until newly revived demigod Akechi walks in and the clone, panicking, throws a cup at him, kicks him out, and closes for the night. Akechi, really confused and a little freaked out, asks the rest of the pt to help him talk to the clone.

After a while of poking and prodding, the clone gives in and tells the truth about him and the real Akira. But because of what the real Akira told him, he can’t directly tell the pt how to wake him, and instead tells them through unnecessarily complicated riddles.

These riddles take the pt to a palace (but not). Akira’s palace. He had created it after Akechi died, to talk to his cognitive self as a way to cope, but has been long abandoned. The only residents of the palace are the cognitive versions of the pt, no shadows or constant threats. Each cognitive pt has a piece of an item (haven’t thought of it yet…maybe his wedding ring or a social link item?) that would help wake Akira. A few of the cognitions get violent when asked about their piece, so there are a few mandatory fights, but the other cognitions give it to them after some convincing and puzzles.

After collecting all of the pieces, they give it to the clone and it begins the process of waking Akira. Then yay! Akira’s awake but now with separation anxiety

Came up with an au where Akira/the p5 protag becomes a god after defeating yaldy and Maruki and has to live with the curse of immortality..

Akechi and the other phantom thieves die/disappear and he lives for another 500 or so years before putting himself in a coma (/khs but not really) so he doesn’t have to live with the loneliness and despair.

Then Akechi and the rest of the pt come back as demigods due to Akira’s power being spread around after his “death” and try to find a way to bring him back.

Shenanigans ensue and Akira comes back but now with separation anxiety lol
