today’s drive to our final destination. with gas and other stops, more likely a 9PM arrival time. i keep having to remember that it’s EST now.

this has been continental breakfast every morning. i’m looking forward to normal food when this is over.

Day 4 complete. 10 hours of driving. Back on schedule.

Underwood Rest Area, IA I didn’t get the connection between Pac-Man and the “Sleepyzzz”. I did learn that a Flesh Eating Short Tailed Shrew existed, however. Disclaimer: I do not normally take pictures of women’s restrooms.

Tire pressure indicator comes on while driving. I bought a Bluedriver for this reason. So I plug it into the diag port on my car to see why... Low Tire Pressure. Duh. It would be more helpful to tell me which tire. A visual check didn’t show anything obvious. I ended up resetting the indicator.

Looks like Winter Storm Jaxon has passed. Time to fuel up and be on our way.

Winter Storm Jaxon has forced us to stay in Lincoln, NE for the evening until it passes. Lincoln and it’s highways are completely covered with snow and ice. Remaining hotels have been cancelled as a result. We’ve decided to wing the remainder of our trip with respect to hotels.

Wisconsin and Nebraska were not kind to us tonight. Mother Nature was in a foul mood all day to boot. we would have kissed the ground when we finally arrived at our hotel but were worried about our lips sticking to the ground
