Iruma like Izuku has a terrible life until a powerful figure basically adopts. The fact that Iruma has trauma is acknowledged and plot relevant. Iruma's relationship with his powerful figure is often a driving force of the plot.

Iruma and Izuku go to a weird school where they are the odd one out and dont talk about their past. Except when ever someone finds out about iruma's past there is a chance he will be deported or eaten.

Both have unconventional teachers. Except Iruma's teachers are competent and act to protect there students.

Iruma and Izuku have ride or die friend. Except Iruma's friends would actually go to the ends of the earth for him and appreciate him.

Both characters are cute in a kind of plain way. Except Iruma is actually acknowledged as cute and has people thirsting after him.

izuku and Irumas have character quirks that make them stand out. Except instead of being labeled as creepy people appreciate and like Iruma's quirks.

Both have wants and desires. Except instead of doing nothing to reach one constant dream Iruma acts to achieve his evolving desires.

Both have weird first friend encounter. Accept instead of saving her life and breaking every bone in three of his limbs Iruma makes his first friend by accidentally suplexing someone who was trying to kill him so hard he asserted dominance.

I've been having a blast drawing the welcome home characters over random incorrect quotes XD While also sprinkling a bit of lore in there too! 👀👀

This event isn't canon to the AU obviously- but it does mirror the time when Barnaby stayed the night at Wally's house to hopefully make him feel safer. It helped him fall asleep, but didn't stop Home from waking him up...🏠👁️
