Glinda has officially discovered touch.

Now that she has learned that not all touch is bad, she keeps a part of herself on Elphaba at all times, much to Elphaba’s dismay. This has spelled trouble more than once, especially when Elphaba trips over Glinda’s head and crashes to the ground in a flying heap of metal. Of course Glinda is there. She rolls straight up to her, tilting her little cone-shaped head, and lowers what passes for her nose down to the center of Elphaba’s forehead, pressing it there as she asks, “El-phoe okay?”

Elphaba merely nods as she pushes Glinda away and slowly gets to her feet, only for Glinda to whirr along behind her, as though nothing had happened.

“What?!” Elphaba exclaims, jumping where she sits, only to find the tiny droid floating in the oil around her, dunking her head in and out of it, a happy little sound emanating from her voice box.

“B-Bath,” she says, dipping her head into the oil one more time before snapping up, spraying Elphaba with a fresh batch of the viscous liquid. “Th-this is an o-oil b-b-bath.”

“Yes,” Elphaba responds dryly, wiping the spray of oil from her head. “And it’s mine.”

“O-oil b-bath with El-Elph-Elphie.”

Sanderson’s ability to write unintentionally gay characters is unparalleled. What do you mean Shallan accidentally discovers bisexuality after she goes to the club (Kharbranth) for the first time and Navani and Raboniel were out there achieving world peace thru the power of single minded girlkissing while an agender House (Sibling) prayed for their downfall. What do u mean Moash figured out homosexuality (Big Desire to kiss his boss) and immediately decided to kill himself about it (join Odium). I think a Pride Parade and a few seasons of RuPaul would have solved all of Roshar’s problems.

Been thinking about all the gelphie moments in the trailer and how stupidly obvious these girls are and like…do we think Elphaba INTENTIONALLY made scarecrow fiyero in her image BECAUSE she couldn’t stand the thought of being away from her girl forever? Like, maybe not consciously, but you know she was missing her girl so like, we see you elphie. You don’t need to be so obvious 🥺😭💔
