Year 8 - The Last Few Days
Our trip is coming to an end and we have had an incredible week. The descent of the Ardeche river has been the highlight of the trip. Three days of sunshine accompanied by some high winds made paddling more interesting at times! The overnight bivi was incredible, sleeping under the stars and avoiding the multitude of caterpillars that were everywhere! The rapids were fast and the River Team that led us down each one was superb - a great bunch of people. We have all taken so much from being part of this week. Year 8 has been a credit to Eagle House. Signing off for now . . .

Year 5 Day 4
The Year 5s final full day in Wales. The sun stayed out all day and made for some superb views during the hill walk this morning. A couple more groups got a go up Jacob's Ladder and it is quickly turning into everyone's favourite activity.
Everyone is now packed and ready for the final two activities in the morning before we head home.

Year 8 Day 4
We left PGL Mimosa and drove to Avignon. The weather has been beautiful so far but today easily the warmest. The lunchtime stop allowed us a bit of time to look around this beautiful French town and buy a few souvenirs. Then we made our way up towards the Ardèche Gorge and the PGL centre at Segries. In the evening the kids swam in the pool and played some games before bed. Everyone is well and looking forward to the descent of the river that begins on Day 5.

Year 8 Golden Eagle Day 3
The wind had dropped enough for us to get out on the water and the kids spent the morning in picos sailing in the most beautiful conditions. We split into two groups in the afternoon for the banana boat and sit on kayaks. Beautiful weather and everyone had a great time. The evening saw us back on the beach for some games before finally hitting the tents for a well deserved night’s sleep.
