hate that the conversation around women’s clothing is always modesty vs immodesty, when these are male-created concepts. “oh that shows skin that’s what men want” “oh that hides skin that’s what men want” i don’t care. men want control. is it comfortable and is it practical? thick, dark, heavy fabric is not safe in hot weather, nor does it allow you to get vitamin d. inadequate coverage in the name of fashion is not safe in cold weather. i don’t care if this pleases men or pisses them off. if your mode of transport is foot, bike, or horse, pants are more practical. if your lifestyle asks for none of that, you may find a skirt more comfortable. many types of fashion force you to constantly monitor yourself — never comfortable or practical. clothing or shoes that damage your ribs, ankles, lungs — never comfortable or practical. i do not care what men want, nor do i care what men don’t want. comfortable. practical. we are animals.

fuck my period cramps hurt like hell right now

but I know in my heart that near nothing can hurt as much, both physically and emotionally, as the genocide and destruction going on in this world.

and especially not while having to deal with things like period cramps, lack of menstrual products, pregnancy, and other biological conditions. that is, if you are even healthy enough to have your period. everyone knows that periods are annoying, but for some people, they can be a wonderful sign.

upon bad health conditions, people can lose their periods. and while some people may think this is a good thing, it’s actually a sign that something is wrong.

as well, being pregnant and postpartum during these times is extremely difficult.

so please help out a pregnant woman in G@za, @hildanasr1. This is her first child, and she is living in dire conditions. if you have any compassion, please, donate, share, spread this campaign and others like it. as well, donate resources to those in need of menstrual products! The Mandela Effect makes me so angry because it's so stupid but it also reflects the way some people in the first world see the rest of the world. Nelson Mandela was not like, some actor, he was one of the greatest political leaders of the 20th century, the father of the modern nation of South Africa, a key if not the key person to bring down apartheid which was one of the greatest crimes against humanity of the century. A South Africa and indeed a world without Nelson Mandela would be very different, we're talking about 58 million people who would still live under an oppressive racist regime or a devastating civil war; this was all avoided thanks to the tireless effort of Mandela and others to create modern South Africa. If you ever picked up a newspaper or watched the news or watched the 2010 World Cup, you MUST have at least heard of him.

And then some dumb pseudoscience "paranormal researcher" doesn't remember him and says that's proof of parallel dimensions and the whole internet takes it as a meme, and the other examples, together with a political leader spoken about in the same tone as Ghandi or Martin Luther King, are a children's book and Pikachu's tail. Just say you're a fucking dumbass who lives in a bubble and doesn't pay any attention to the world around you, it would be less embarrassing. Fucking hell.
