i'm kind of obsessed with the fact that manfred doesn't speak because hiring renowned voice actor matt mercer to make only skeleton noises is absolutely peak behaviour on bioware's part

"Sel?"

Anders's voice was strained, his eyes focused on the floor.

Hawke stopped what he was doing, turning his attention to Anders' face, studying every detail as he tended to do. Wether it was admiration or looking for signs of Justice, Anders could never tell anymore.

"Are we... good? You left everything for me, and I know you're upset about... what happened. If you want me to leave you can just say...."

"No." The word was out before hawke could think further.

"I had nothing left in kirkwall. It never felt like home, more like playing pretend, especially after mother-"

He paused, thinking.

"I can't say I approve of what you did, but it's not something I'm mad over," he wrapped his arms around the other mage, burying his face in Anders" hair as he held on.

"Certainly not enough to leave. I love you, and whether that means staying remote on a farm away from the world or dragging you to the ends of thedas to find a cure, so be it. Nothing you or Justice could do will change that."

Anders sighed and returned the embrace, tears welling up as he felt Justice writhe underneath. He was scared, of justice, of losing everything, especially hawke. He had been unable to control himself for years, and Selyff Hawke had been the only reason he felt himself at all.

"Thank you, love. I-" his voice broke as hawked shushed him quietly.

"Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere."
