Me Right Now

When we die that's it, I don't care if there is an afterlife, it is a light at the end of the tunnel that blinds us from the glimmer of hope in the now. You see people get caught up in the future, what will I do tomorrow? What am I going to do later on? Oh, we are going to the bar. They never what a single moment of, hey I'm holding you, this is me looking at you, this is us. Every moment is still, you can live in one forever if you slow down enough, but we never slow down enough for a moment to matter. We have memories where we caught the moment, but we never truly live in the moment, we move too fast, we don't dissect life enough for that. That moment you first saw her, did the world freeze? You remember the way her face wrinkled when she laughed at the stupidest joke? Memories or moments? We can never live them, only relive. That is what I am caught on, I want to live in the moment but can't, I'm moving too fast, I'm stuck in the flow of right now. I'm impossible to see today if I only see you later on.

the romanticizing of staying up late in a dark room is like romanticizing an insane asylum.

i sometimes think of what life would be like if i ran away. i know i can, and i would if i knew it wouldnt be what i want it to. but it's thoughts like what if i had someone else's life that gets to me because i know i dont have their life, their joys, their fears and faults. i am simply myself and i will not be someone else, and i will not expect some afterlife reincarnation, even if i secretly hope for it. I know life is final and i mean to make every second worth it, because when i die i want to be able to say that id be fine with a pit of nothing for an afterlife, i mean who really wants to live forever.

the meaning of life is what you want it to be

life throws people into a world running, and those who try to find their roots are trampled on and left in the dirt
