“He’s doing better, but still trying to get there.” Stephanie sighed while she shook her head. “I don’t know what’s going to happpen.”

“How’s grandpa? ” she asked her mother as she walked into the room and looked over at her.

Mickie bit down on her bottom lip, looking away from Kori. How could she trust her? She should had been able to, but there was a part of her that couldn’t. “Just forget it. It’s nothin’ and I’m overthinkin’. I don’t want to talk about it.”

Kori looked at Mickie with quite the confused look on her face. “I did what? Cheat on you? Please tell me when, where and with who because you know I wouldn’t do that to you, Mick. ”

“I haven’t seen it, no.” Ashley replied with an honest and sweet tone. “I don’t know where it could be. But, I have eye shadow you can borrow. It might not be the same, but it’s something.”

“Ash, you haven’t seen my eye shadow have you? ” she asked as she was getting ready to go out with an old friend from childhood. “Cuz I really need it ans i won’t look right without it. ”

Stephanie still had a stern look on her face, crossing her arms against her chest. Their relationship wasn’t there anymore, that much was true. “I suppose. You have just as much of as a right to see them. Just don’t cause too much stress for the baby.” She might had been angry about everything, but she was a mother. She knew what it was like to be pregnant and how uncomfortable it could be.

“Thank you. I know this is not easy.” Paul started to speak, he wanted this conversation to be done as soon as it can be over. There was a point where they were happy and loved each other, but not anymore. “Listen, I want the girls to be able to spend the weekends with Robin and myself. We never really discussed what’s going on with the girls…..”

Things between Paul and Stephanie escalated so quickly in just a year. At one point they were happily married and then things went all downhill. He knows what he did with Robin was horrible. He cheated on his wife with her, even causing for Robin to become pregnant in the process. There was no excuse for that. He sighs as he saw Stephanie, rubbing his face softly. “Look. Can we talk? Please?”

Everything between Paul and Stephanie went downhill. They were once so happy and now? It wouldn’t ever be the same. And Stephanie was beyond upset about it, but she certainly didn’t want to appear that way. It was a sign of weakness from her, at least in her own mind she thought. “Fine. We can talk. I don’t have long. You better make this quick.”

Wade wanted so badly to taunt back that he was a star, that 99.9% of the “new” names being hired were already established stars in the independent scene.

Instead he schooled his emotions and put a fake smile across his face.

“I would bloody like that. I think I could work wonders in NXT. After all, I was one of the very first NXT stars.”

Stephanie could easily read people’s emotions. It was sorta something she had done with her father, brother, and even her husband. Though she wasn’t going to comment on Wade’s reaction.

A small nod was made before she looked over at him.

“I think you could too. We’re always looking to expand it. And you were one of the very first. Who knows, maybe we can stretch out Drew’s reign and have you in a title match down the line some day.”

A hard look of rage passed through Noam’s eyes, “Maybe yer jus’ afraid tae be without him, considerin all ye do when he’s nae there is lose. Ye only won because he go’ in Becky’s way.”

Carmella looked at him in disbelief. “Are ya kiddin’ me right now?! Please, tell me that’s a joke. Why would I ever be afraid? I have nothin’ to be afraid of! No matter how I won, I still have the briefcase. That puts me above every other woman who doesn’t have an automatic way into a title shot. Besides, I was lookin’ out for myself, not to make history.”

“While I won’t disagree with you being the best, I do believe that you forget both Tamina and Nia when you speak of dynasties,” Sheamus offered. “But…maybe I can reward you with drinks when you do win it back?”

“I don’t have to worry about Nia since she’s not on my brand. Little Miss Pixie has to deal with her. Tamina...she’s not someone I can take lightly, so you are right about that,” Charlotte agreed. “Though I will take that offer on drinks for when I win my title.”

“As someone who knows a cash in when I see it, let me give you a word to the wise. Let Nattie keep it warm. Hell, let her lose it to Naomi and let Naomi keep it warm. You capitalize when Mella no longer has the briefcase,” Sheamus grinned.

“Hm...I’ll remember that. I’ll let someone else do the dirty work for me. Though fact of the matter is, none of those girls can match up to me or my skills. Maybe Nattie, since we do come from similar backgrounds. But other than that? I’m the best woman in this entire company.” Charlotte spoke with confidence.

A rude laugh left Noam’s lips and he vigorously shook his head, “I am nae longer with Foooox. Broke up with her a while back. I know to dump by dead weight when I can. Ye just welcomed yers back. Ye can do so much better without him.”

She started to fake yawn before looking at him. “I’m sorry, were you sayin’ something? Because if I recall correctly, you were actually relevant when you had everythin’ going on with that loon. Now all you are doing is losing to the likes of someone like Enzo. Which says a lot. I’ll handle James on my own. I know what I’m doing.”

He had no clue why he was here. Maybe it was seeing how well Sheamus was doing without him. Or how well Drew was doing without him.

Part of Wade was happy for his friends, part of him wanted to ruin it.

“A little of both, Mrs. McMahon-Helmsly,” admitted Wade. “Kelly doing so well is good. But…if Im going to hope to keep things going with her I am going to need a steady job. Preferably in NXT.”

Stephanie knew that WWE had been thriving ever since the brand split. Raw, SmackDown, NXT...everyone was getting chances that they couldn’t have if they were all on the same brand.

And Stephanie would be foolish if she didn’t at least try to get wrestlers to sign on.

“A bit of both?” Stephanie questioned while maintaining eye-contact. “She is. She has come a long way since she started. If that’s the case, I’ll see what I can do. I know Hunter would enjoy having you down at NXT. He can make stars out of everyone.”

Drew grinned as he secured the title to his shoulder, smiling charmingly at Mickie. He had missed being able to see her after she left Impact.

“Thank ye Mickie. I do adore the way ye build me confidence up. I wish ye could have been there for it, just wish it would have ended with me still on me feet.”

Mickie gave a bright smile to him, see that title around his shoulder. She knew he was one of the hardest workers in the business, and he was proof that hard work does pay off.

“Ya don’t need to thank me for anythin’. Ya worked for all of that. I wish I could had been there too, but I had other stuff goin’ on. Hey, that’s how some people are. Just can’t let those kind of people get to ya.”
