For as great and powerful as Gundham boasted himself to be, he was but a worm under Naya's boot by nothing but his own choice. Anger could be neutralized with just a look from his nymph in warning, it perhaps speaking as much on his self control as much as his deep love for her. Still, there were times he made decisions on his own, ones that should have been run by Naya first, Gundham very much of the 'it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission' mindset. Part of the reason was a fear of being told no when every part of his being screamed otherwise. He knew he was stubborn and headstrong, and under the right circumstances he might very well ignore what he was told in order to do what he felt was right. It was better for everyone, he felt, should he simply cut to whatever idea he'd had instead of possibly having to defy someone he cared for at the chance they didn't agree.

Besides, he was sure Naya was well aware by now that when it came to animals, his own wellbeing tended to take second, third, or even further down his line of prioritizes. It might not make her happy whenever she had to pick him up from the police station should he get caught, but it had been years they'd been together now. He liked to believe that by now, he would be able to tell if she truly disapproved of something he did, and that she in turn was more comfortable sharing such thoughts with him should they arise.

There were still times, however, he was unsure, whether it be from the circumstances or from getting caught in his own head.

This would no doubt turn into one of those times, with Gundham entering their room through the window rather than the door, the breeder freezing, rathering comically, halfway into the room when he realized she was there. "...Hello." A pause as his face flared with color, voice sheepish as he refused to meet her eye. "You...are not at your studio..." She sure wasn't. The real mystery at hand was why he'd come in through the damn window and why he was acting like a kid with his hand in the cookie jar upon seeing her in the room.

It was such a shock when Naya learned just how much power she had over Gundham, hardly even of her own choice. With just a look or a simple no, it seemed he was wrapped completely around her finger, even though he knew very well he could just as easily override her decision and she would let him without much of a fight, regardless of whether she vocally approved or not.

It was a phenomenon she would probably never understand, but something she reluctantly got used to nonetheless as time went on. So when she was witness to her beloved boyfriend coming in through the window of their dorm room rather than the door, she looked just about as flabbergasted as he did. She stared, quiet and wide-eyed for a few moments, trying to decipher just why her boyfriend was entering like this.

"....No, I'm not." She says slowly, keeping her eyes on him as she slowly closed the book she was reading in bed. "Were you... banking on that?"
