An aflutter heart.
The tranquil speed train ride is over.
All three of us easily found the bus that takes us to the expo. We tapped our cards. Each tap rang in the bush notifying of payment made.
The bus came closer to the expo building. People are lined up for miles, waiting patiently in the hot morning sun for the event to start.
"Shoot! We should have brought an umbrella." Tesa exclaims, squinting at the long line stretching out before us.
The line moved slowly into the building. Each hand got a stamp to show proof of payment for the event.
Then, we are in. The event is divided into two big 'saals'. Each one is filled with tiny 'staletjies', from selling electronics to big brands' merchandise.
I slowly made my through block A. Taking my time looking at everything. Suddenly, I freeze before a big banner. The name "Wukong" is emblazoned in bold, Asian brush-style script at the top. Below it stands a figure with its back turned to the viewer. Two feathers extend gracefully from a crown atop its head. The hairy figure is dressed in bulky, ornate Asian armour.
Briefly, everything around me fades. The name... is familiar. The pounding in my ears draws me back. I place a hand on my chest "Am I...?", my heart races. My breathing speeds up "Having a panic attack?".

An effervescent day.
The Gautrain card feels cold between my fingers. More and more people come down onto the train platform. "Aah, there will be so many games to play!" my younger sister Tesa beams at Madelief our older sister. "I can't wait to see all the new gaming equipment.", says Madelief. They are both psyched for the Rage Expo. I want to join the excitement, but I slept terribly last night, again. I'm emotionally drained once more.
We are on our way by train to this year's Rage Expo. Johannesburg's biggest yearly Gaming Expo. Where you see the latest games, electronics, and art. I'm giddy to see the latest games as well. But, my purpose is to buy an excellent quality keyboard.
The announcement echoes underground " The train is approaching please stand back." The Gautrain slides into the underground station with ease. All three of us board it as soon as possible. We want to get the seats of the three-seat row that faces its pair.
Madelief and I take one row. A seat is left open between us. Tesa sits in the middle of the opposite-facing row.

Dusk Elapse.
Two human women are sitting outside their home. The sun sinks into the horizon of Pretoria. Casting a yellow and purple gradient in the cloudless sky.
"You've not been sleeping, again." Mother looks concerned at me. Her brown eyes glance down. " Mhh" was the only thing I could sound. The cold breeze weaves through our long hair. The distant 'Hadedas' cry echoes in our ears. The wooden bench is cold beneath me. My hands clasp in my lap. The past week has been awful. I woke up early every day, because of vivid nightmares. I would dream, that I was somewhere. Talking? No... Arguing with someone. I'd blaze up. My long hary tail goes ballistic. It lashes against the stone floor. "Why? Why am I feeling this way? WHY DO I HAVE A TAIL?"
Suddenly, an intense pain sparks in my chest. I look down to see the source. An elongated red pole pierced my chest.
