Quests and Adventuring, LLC: The Ground Floor [youtube link]
Official Description: Woah, it's a one shot! Run by Benji?! Woah!!! Unofficial Description: A very interesting party of adventurers is hired by an interesting company to do a Quest.
Previous Session: [It's the first ever!] Previous Recap: [Still the first ever!]
We're taking a break from the normal Dungle Drags story this week for a one-and-possibly-more-shot! All new characters and even a new DM! Our DM for this session will be @benjamindisco and you can find their art of the characters at this [link!] And  item art at this [link!] The map art is at this [link!] Also some NPC art (and Some Dude) at this [link!] And even more at this [link!] This recap is a little longer than usual, as we meet an entire cast of characters this session!
"A call for adventurers went out across the land..." Our adventurers arrive separately at a typical medieval-fantasy-setting building, which opens up to reveal... a not very typical interior, a lobby complete with fluorescent lights, couches, and a water cooler. Our four adventurers seem to be the only adventurers to answer the call. A sign asks them to please discuss their backstories while they wait in the lobby, as good communication is the backbone of every party. Gregmas (@skullshoal) sits down in a chair and BooBoo the Fool (@starsnot) climbs on top of some filing cabinets, as Ozmira Timeteller (@krshush) and Teszin the Calm (@talondragonblood) discuss what the sign means by backstory. BooBoo the Fool introduces himself, with a truly amazing flip off of the filing cabinet, as a 2'3" tall ever-smiling goblin in a clown outfit. Ozmira introduces herself next, she is a 3' tall chrono-hopper gnome with heterochromic eyes [more character art here!]. She shakes BooBoo the Fool's hand, but gets hit by a hand-buzzer. BooBoo the Fool moves exclusively through somersaults and various acrobatics, and rolls over to Greg, who is a 2' tall elf [more character art here!]. He shakes BooBoo's hand as well, also getting buzzed.  Both BooBoo and Greg wear bells. Greg introduces himself as Greg, Gregmas for long, and he is one of Santa's elves. Next to be introduced is Tezin, who rides a very large duck. Very large. Tezin once spilled an Enlargement potion on Benny the Duck, and he has been large ever since. BooBoo attempts to convince Greg that all ducks are that big. Tezin introduces Poohgo [link], a small talking owl that rests on his horns. Poogho reveals that he's been summoned by Tezin. Tezin is also a 6'11" minotaur, not including added Duck height.
BooBoo the Fool rolls down the hallway, to explore, and is hit in the face with a door opening. A voice behind the door calls the adventurers in by name. They enter a small book-filled office, where Melinda, a gnome lady, sits atop a pile of books. She explains that the Quest Item was stolen and put upon a ship called the Heart's Cage, and when the party brings the Quest Item back, they'll be paid two thousand gold. Quests and Adventuring, LLC seems to know a lot about the adventurers, but offers bonus goodie bags! After the signing of a contract, of course. While Gregmas signs with a fancy quill, BooBoo signs with facepaint. Each party member receives a Goodie Bag of Holding, and both Gregmas and BooBoo climb inside theirs. These bags include a healing potion, a brand-loyal t-shirt, and a wand, the art for which is at this [link.] Greg, Tezin and BooBoo don their t-shirts, though BooBoo wears his like a cape. Melinda ushers the party out of the room before her next appointment arrives, and the party catches a slight glimpse of her next appointment, a man in a red hood with a white mask and a blue scarf. The party conveniently exits the room straight onto the docks, which is where they need to be for their quest! It's also about ten pm, as opposed to 3pm which they'd thought it was. A couple NPCs hang around the docks, and a few buildings stand around the dock, including Feline Fine Bar & Grill, Melvin's Menagerie, and The Tip (The Hottest Nightclub In Town). BooBoo does a fun handkerchief trick, resulting in Poohgo and Greg getting drawn in and a little too dizzy.
All the ships at the docks follow a theme, each named something very similar to The Heart's Cage, though the actual Heart's Cage is not in sight. BooBoo approaches a beagle, which talks, scaring BooBoo, and walking away. The party discusses whether or not all animals can talk. Also, Gregmas is 480 years old, and BooBoo is 3. The party asks around the docks for information, but none of the NPCs seem to know where the Heart's Cage is. They're denied entrance to the nightclub, and a trashcan calls out to them. Specifically a hooded figure in the alleyway behind the trashcan, who offers them information. The hooded figure pulls down their hood to reveal a wizard, who offers information in return for crystals.
Greg uses his Naughty and Nice tome to cast Ray of Frost on the Crystal Wizard, and the Crystal Wizard poofs away. BooBoo eats some garbage, taking two points of damage. The party searches for the wizard, but cannot find them. BooBoo and Greg... get married? I think? It's about 2am now, and still no luck in finding the boat. The party enters Feline Fine Bar & Grill, and slightly harass Henrietta the barkeep. Henrietta mentions that the boat they're looking for is full of scary people, and the party harasses her a little more, via balloon animals. She tells them where they can find The Heart's Cage before fleeing to the bar's backroom. The party approaches the ship, which is crewed by many dogs, of various headgear, who seem to be guarding something.
The party gets into an altercation with these dogs, which turns into combat!
Tezin wields a lute-hammer, which is a spiky lute he plays and also hits people with. Ozmira uses daggers, as well as speed. BooBoo uses rage, a comically large hammer, and ancestor spirits of... clowns. Greg is a pact of the tome warlock, whose patron is Santa.
BooBoo gets Polymorphed into a frog, Ozmira unlocks a door on the ship, BooBoo gets hit with Crown  of Madness. Tezin falls unconscious, Ozmira uses her health potion on him. Gregmas pets sweetpea. A wand is cast, making the party fly, and another, making Gregmas invincible. BooBoo throws the empty wand and Ham catches it, off the side of the boat. Ham is swimming with a stick, Muffin is asleep, Sweetpea is petted, and Lady Margarette Snugglesworth IV is on the floor in laughter. The party, with a befriended Sweetpea, descend into the ship.
Within the ship is a dragon skeleton, named Ryan, who can speak, and has the Quest Item. Ryan is also only seven years old, and wants a very good joke in exchange for the Quest Item. The party do... not have any jokes. Ozmira, however, steals the Quest Item, and sneaks away in the general chaos. Gregmas casts Friends on Ryan. Gregmas, with Sweetpea, as well as Tezin and Poohgo and Benny The Duck, exit the room while Ryan is friendly. BooBoo tells a funny clown joke, and Ryan has a laugh, and falls asleep. BooBoo leaves then, as does Ozmira.
The party now has the Quest Item, and they flee from the ship. Before they leave, Tezin waves his wand, and turns the party invisible. They turn in the Quest Item to Melinda, and she informs the party that their payment will be delivered in two business weeks.
And that's where Quests & Adventuring, LLC: The Ground Floor ends!

Session 88: Roll Them Bones [youtube link]
Official Description: Reverence asks Ralishaz for help, and we do our best to get everyone to safety. Unofficial Description: Reverence Rolls The Bones, Ralishaz Is There, The Party Recovers, and Merit Drinks Some Goo.
Previous Session: [link] Previous Recap: [link]
(Just a preface before we start: Titles have now begun to be added to the sessions! They're all very good titles. Also there's a new thumbnail! It's a very good thumbnail.)
Reverence sits in a river and communes with her god. Ralishaz is sitting in a rocking chair, breastfeeding an infant, and a man cooks a meal on the stove behind him, unperturbed by the whole situation. Reverence is still vaguely on fire. Reverence says that she needs help, and Ralishaz hands off the infant to the man, kissing his cheek. Reverence feels like she's interrupting something, but the scene shifts, and they are on the side of a road, and Ralishaz is an old man begging for change. Reverence would like help with the fire, please. Ralishaz thinks that she has left herself up to fate, to which she replies that fate is nothing. He says that is correct, and asks why he should save her today, only for her to die another. Reverence says she has more to do, and that she won't be of use to him dead. She also says that it seems wasteful, after all he's already done for her, to just die now. The scene shifts again, to a busy street, as Ralishaz, now a very sharp dressed woman, responds that though he has saved her and she has served him, everything is a roll of the dice. Reverence would appreciate it if he could tip the dice in her favour again, and she does not want to die tonight. Ralishaz suggests they leave it up to chance. The scene shifts to a place almost like the bottom of the river, but not, and Ralishaz is now an oddly dressed man, holding a torch that with each flicker illuminates a new face under the hood. He holds out a hand, with three bones held in it. He says "Roll the dice." (Here is a [link] to amazing art of this scene.)
Reverence casts the bones. (She rolls a natural 20 with her last point of Luck, making a 26 religion check.) The bones scatter, and her heart sinks, not seeing a good sign, and then almost magnetically, the bones snap into a different arrangement, and Ralishaz grins. He says he'll help this time. The scene dissolves, and Reverence is in a cold river, no hint of flames around her. She offers up a thanks, and sits in the river a moment to take it in, before making her way down the river away from the city.
Noah, back in the city, realises that playing dead while wearing Mallard's trenchcoat is a bad idea, and removes it. He also removes the bolts from his leg, which are from the crossbow only he has, as that would also be suspicious as all the guards use melee weapons, and he lies down in the glass from the broken overhead window. He also rubs some dead-guard ash onto himself, for... reasons? It must work, as he rolls a natural 20 on his stealth, bringing his check to 26. Noah and Lilith play dead for about fifteen minutes before some very distressed and confused guards arrive, who have never seen this room before. As only the fire on Reverence disappeared and not the rest of the fire, the guards can't enter the room and so look in from the roof on the scene below, trying and failing to put out the fire, and so Noah and Lilith wait for the fire to go out.
Merit, finds a way while riding a large bird (Pen) to text Rislon, asking if he's alright, as Merit went down in combat. But as no one died in his place, and Rislon is alright, it's determined that just falling unconscious in battle does not count for Stellaria's deal re: some of the party trading their deaths for Merit's. As they're flying away, they can see that the city returns to high alert. Pen and he roost in a tree and settle in to wait.
The crystal Merit took is no longer green, instead dull grey. Merit recognises it as a now-uncharged ley-line stone. He compares it with the arcane gem he bought in Sekoh, which looks structurally similar, but the green one is drained, and it can be deduced that both stones store magic. He thinks that the ley-lines are the thing that powers the crystal, similar to the pink quartz, though the magic stored is not the same kind of magic.  The goo Pen picked up is slowly fading from fluorescent to dull, and Pen and Merit inspect it, Merit sniffing it with no regard to chemical safety practices. It feels cold, less alive than the pink quartz, and it smells vaguely cold, and Merit's eyes light up a little more purple. It doesn't have a school of magic, it is just distilled magic. Also Merit drinks it with a natural 1 constitution save. He falls unconscious.
Pen hides him in some leaves and flies to the city to go help Noah and Lilith. The fire dies down, and the guards enter the room where Noah and Lilith hide in plain sight. Mallard is a pile of bone and ashes, and the guards talk among themselves until a large bird descends, and Noah springs into action. Taking advantage of the guards' surprise, they make a quick getaway, flying with Lilith as a small owl. Merit is still unconscious, and Pen explains the situation. Reverence texts that she's good, and Pen lays down, still spewing water. Noah uses "echolocation" to lead Reverence to them, and eventually they meet up. They set up watch, and Pen's gurgling dies down after another two hours. Reverence has first shift, which is uneventful, and she texts Rislon. She wakes Noah up for his watch, and his watch goes uneventfully.
The sun rises, and a mist rolls in. Adelaide arrives, and drops unconscious. Noah casts Cure Wounds on them, and they look moderately better.
And that's where Session 88, Roll Them Bones ends!

Session 82: Ghosts [youtube link]
Official Description: We go back to the tavern to look for our friends. Unofficial Description: Quest to find Hector, Blinking at Thaleia, and Adelaide Appears!
Previous Session: [link] Previous Recap: [wip]
The party, sans Lilith, sets off to enact what little plan they have, Merit and Reverence turning into old ladies, and Pen polymorphing Noah into  and themself into rats, to go in Reverence and Merit's pockets, to Dimension Door into the city proper of Thiebaut. Rat!Pen enters the bar unnoticed, bringing back info for the party that the bar is empty. To unlock the door, Reverence takes out her key, an item that is a sentient lockpick. The key begins to barter for their services, and Reverence eventually promises to put the key on their own necklace, and the lock unlocks. Pen, still a rat, attempts to pick the second lock with their small rat hands, and succeeds, but as they do, a light passes by outside. The party hides behind the bar from some guards, and continues into the bar's back room.
The room is filled with fog, but only Merit can see it, with his Eldritch Sight. Reverence Dispels Magic, and the fog briefly recedes away from her, though Merit doesn't see much of anything. Reverence, however, finds humanoid-sized claw marks on the walls, indicating a struggle of some kind. In an effort to search investigate these further, Merit comes across a wardrobe that he can't budge. Pen, as a rat, has significantly more success in moving it. Noah finds a halberd in the wardrobe, and the possibility of Thaleia being there is discussed. They search the boxes in the room just in case, and while all Reverence and Pen find only food, Noah finds a piece of Thaleia's armour, which he mistakes for an actual hand for a moment. He then puts the gauntlet on. Pen turns into a gnome once more, and Merit looks again with Eldritch Sight as Pen casts Locate Creature to look for Hector. Hector is in the bar room, but Pen doesn't know where, and Merit sees those red eyes once more in the fog, staring at him. Merit winks at the eyes and drops Eldritch Sight. Noah pushes the wardrobe away from the wall to look behind it, and there are more scratches behind it, but then they stop.
Reverence climbs inside the wardrobe and closes the door. There are, however, no portals within the wardrobe, to places with lampposts and lions or otherwise, but as she opens the door to climb out, she feels a hand on her shoulder. She closes the doors again, still inside, and says hello, to no response. She exits the wardrobe. After Pen asks if planes can overlap, Reverence immediately casts Blink.
Inside the cabinet, to Reverence's eyes, is Thaleia, who is very angry, as she is trapped in the Ethereal Plane. She asks how to get her out, but then Blinks back. She then Blinks back to the Ethereal Plane, and the room begins to fill with fog, this time visible to all eyes.
Thaleia, on the Ethereal Plane, has a small child with her, who can be seen at this [link]. Vivian Andretta is hiding behind Thaleia, but Thaleia has no idea how to get them out. Reverence holds them both and Blinks to the Material Plane, only to find that they haven't Blinked with her. The room has filled with fog, now. Reverence Blinks again, and Noah searches in and around the boxes for Hector or any clues. Thaleia hasn't seen Hector, and says that Adelaide trapped her in the Ethereal Plane. She insists that Adelaide is a friend, and Reverence Blinks back. The fog begins to accumulate near the cabinet. After a very brief explanation that she can't Planeshift the party either to or from the Ethereal Plane, Reverence Blinks back to Thaleia and Vivian, and asks what the fog is, and where Adelaide is. Thaleia says that she's about to find out.
She Blinks back, in time for the red eyes to materialise out of the fog, and Blink to fade. Adelaide materialises out of the fog, grabbing Reverence and covering her mouth. Merit draws Devil's Tongue, and Reverence asks, through their hand where Hector is.
Adelaide pulls Hector out of their coat, and lets Reverence go. Pen now has Hector, and the party asks what the deal is. Adelaide says it's safer for Thaleia in the Ethereal Plane, and things are difficult to explain. When Adelaide looks at Merit, he hears a sharp ringing in his ears, and while he's felt this way before, it's not an attack, and pretty passive, and he can't put his finger on it. Adelaide says there are things they cannot say, and their name is Adelaide. They don't answer Reverence's question of what the mist was about. Also, Adelaide has a southern accent. Adelaide can't bring Thaleia back, as they didn't put them in the Ethereal Plane, and seems very reluctant to answer the party's questions. Adelaide then says they can't speak anymore, and the party entertains and discards the idea of Planeshifting to the Ethereal Plane. Pen asks if Adelaide will help them get Thaleia back, and they say they will. Adelaide also says they shouldn't trust Adelaide. They say that the party shouldn't stay there, and they should talk outside of the city. Adelaide knows where their camp is, and they agree to meet the party there.
The party exits Thiebaut, Polymorphing and following the same strategy they used for getting in to get out.
And that's where Session 82 ends!

Session 87: Roasted Duck [youtube link]
Official Description: Oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck Unofficial Description: Geyser Gnome, Fear, Duck Man Eats It (the crystal), Out Of The Frying Pan, Call Up a Deity, ...Margaritaville Sacrifices??
Previous Session: [link] Previous Recap: [link]
Before we even jump into the actual game, it is established that Jimmy Buffet of Margaritaville fame is the final boss of this campaign and also a warlock patron. With that covered, It's time to continue combat!
Once again, the extended combat recap is at this [link]!
Alright. So this one's a lot. This recap ended up being a little short, as I just don't know how to recap this session to do it justice. Thus, I'm highly recommending reading the extended recap.
We return to combat, and right off the bat, all of the guards, dead and alive, become possessed by a dark smoke that casts shadowy auras that prevents the party from seeing past them. They also look real cool, and can be found at this [link]. The majority of the party is forced into Compelled Duels with the guards, and they slowly pick off the guards. Adelaide, Noah, Lilith, and Reverence get the kills on the guards. Pen drinks the potion of I Don't Know, which turns their mouth into a Decanter of Endless Water. With the force of a fire hose, they knock a couple guards down. Before he dies, one of the guards casts Daylight, which hurts Adelaide a considerable amount. Mallard knocks Merit unconscious, but Noah heals him and Merit recovers, and then Mallard knocks Reverence unconscious, but Adelaide heals her- setting themself on fire- and she recovers.
The final blow on Mallard is struck by Lilith, and Mallard falls to his knees and attempts to eat shards of the green crystal, but coughs them up, before he ultimately dies. But the danger isn't over, as the party still must escape. Reverence is on fire, and will be for an hour, and as the stairs are covered in fire, Lilith cannot exit.
Merit looks around the room, and knows what has happened, through an Arcana check. The party plans out what they are going to do.
What happens is this: Adelaide leaves, turning to mist outside of the sphere of Daylight, escaping. Reverence, after giving a lock of hair to Pen as a safety measure for Reincarnation, Dimension Doors into a river, where the water hides most of her fiery trail, texting her friends to let them know where to find her, and beginning to pray. Noah also gives Pen a lock of his hair, as well as a few of Lilith's feathers, and lies down to play dead with Lilith in the crystal room, hoping to hide from the guards long enough to be rescued. Pen turns into a bird and carries Merit out through the window, fleeing.
They plan to rest enough to recover Lilith and Noah, and then recover Reverence's body, if she cannot stop the flames with the help of her deity. If this all fails, then Pen will have the option to cast reincarnation.
And that's where Session 87 ends.

Session 36 [youtube link]
Official Description: We continue our hunt, and finally meet Margrae's family. Unofficial Description: Noah's Nightmare, The Journey to Hunt continues, Margrae’s family arrives, that fucking pun.
Previous Session: [link] Previous Recap: [link]
Morning dawns on the party, but just before it does, Noah has a nightmare. He's almost forgotten her, though who she is we don't know, other than possibly a child, and probably dead. He feels cold, throughout the dream, and he's almost forgotten why he's here. It's very mysterious, but Noah seems to understand it, though it fades quickly, leaving only the sense that he's forgetting something. The dream finishes off with a brief flash of a white animalistic figure. (All of the full transcribed nightmares can be found at this [link], though be warned of spoilers!)
Morning dawns, and Pen and Folmar's watch ends, just as Pen finishes off a story. Margrae informs the party that they'll be meeting up with some of her family that day. Pen wakes the party, to varying success. After a nice breakfast, the Hunting party sets off once more.
Merit is curious as to what his matchmaking schemes have wrought, and why Reverence is furiously blushing. Reverence is apparently fine, but also feels like she's dying, because she kissed his mask, and is now grappling with the emotions that come along with that. She admits to being "terribly fond" of Rislon, but also admits to not really doing the whole Feelings thing. Reverence changes the subject and asks Merit what kind of tree he is, to which he answers that while he isn't exactly a tree, but he's a rosewood. He turns it around on her and asks which kind of demon her parent was, but Reverence doesn't know. A red rock on her necklace is the only thing she has as a clue, which she's had for as long as she can remember. She still refuses to speak to Rislon about emotions. Rislon has apparently been watching Reverence, and she blushes. It's all around adorable.
Pen's horse doesn't like cows, and it's kinda racist. Pen doesn't cast speak with animals again. Noah flies around a bit, which alarms Nohr, who hadn't known that Noah could fly.
After a brief break for lunch, they set off again. At some point the Hunting party leaves the road, which the horses don't particularly like. Eventually they reach a massive clearing, and Margrae stops the Hunting party. They wait for Margrae's family.
Nohr is faced with the revelation that Noah is kind of a dragon? Nohr's been a bit abducted, and their world has been flipped upside down. He's pretty happy that he hasn't been killed yet. Noah turns into a grass-clearing machine and clears out the whole clearing with Thaleia's borrowed halberd and some ice breath.
They set up camp for the evening, and gather around the fire. Margrae says that they really don't need to look for her family, they'll make themselves known. Samuel Fox asks who the party is, and the party sort of introduces themselves. Sort of. A brief rundown of the previous arc is given, as an explanation as to how they came to be part of the guild.
(The party, minus Noah and Nohr who joined later, found themselves a part of The Gamemaster's game, a competition for a Wish, after being invited to an inn via flyers advertising wishes. The Gamemaster turned out to be an asshole, but the party met Margrae and some of her guild, who were there to collect on the bounty on the Gamemaster's head. The party helped, and with their new friend Noah, escorted the captured Gamemaster to the capital city, which incidentally got eaten by a very large worm. The party thinks that the Gamemaster got eaten by the worm, but if he didn't then Margrae is sure that they'll be able to take him down again. After that, Margrae offered them a place in the guild.)
After a brief fetch quest to retrieve a pot from a fiery dragon Stella, Merit begins to make some tea, though not his specialty tea. Just ordinary tea. Not fae tea. Much tea and wine is had, and hours pass with no sign of Margrae's family. Eventually, they sober up somewhat, and Rislon states that Margrae's family is odd, and they shouldn't be caught off-guard. A wolf howls in the distance.
A very very large wolf makes its way into the clearing, followed by a number of more ordinary sized wolves. The large wolf is about one storey tall, is white, and very scarred, and is named Mar the White. You can see Mar in all her badassery at this [link]! Mar the White also speaks Common! Margrae introduces the party to Mar the White. Nohr is... processing this all. Mar the White and her pack of more-ordinary wolves settle down to rest in the clearing.
Also Margrae's name is Margrae because her mom is named Mar the White and her dad was a black wolf. She's Mar the Grey. I love and hate this pun so much.
And that's where Session 36 ends!

Session 35 [youtube link]
Official Description: Whoo boy there were some issues with the recording. Sorry about the weird audio. The return of the campfire! How we missed thee. Unofficial Description: Campfire! Revelon Flirts! The Audio Void eats some recording.
Previous Session: [link] Previous Recap: [link]
The audio is a bit choppy on this one, folks, but our party is still here! We come back to a campfire as night falls and the first watch begins. Nohr and Thaleia have the first watch, Merit has the second, and Pen and Folmar have the third. On first watch, Thaleia would rather not say where she came from, but that she ran away from there, and now the guild is her home. Nothing suspicious happens during first watch. Nohr wakes a sleepy Merit for the second watch, and goes to sleep among the Lilith-fluff. The woods remain quiet, and he wakes Reverence for a brief conversation that is sadly lost to the Audio Void. At the end of his watch, he wakes Rislon, doing some matchmaking, as he declines to wake Pen for watch, and leaving Rislon and Reverence for third watch alone. The Audio Void takes another casualty with this conversation, and most of it cannot be heard.
Reverence is cold, and inches even more dangerously close to the fire, Rislon advises that wearing more clothes would help. Reverence pulls Rislon in so she can warm up. Nothing much is suspicious during this watch, aside from the sounds of another couple at a different campfire making out. Reverence and Rislon decide to prank this couple by dumping snow on them. Reverence also decides to prank Merit, and gives Rislon 50g to enact revenge for waking the both of them up early.
Reverence and Rislon flirt and cuddle, it is very cute, what was salvaged from the Audio Void. From what can be heard, it's a lot of flirting. Rislon apparently has multiples of That Mask, and he lets Reverence try one on. There's even more flirting, and Reverence uses the mask to hide her blush. Reverence makes the masks boop together. The mask is made of a thin metal. They hold hands, and they're cute. At the end of the conversation, amidst the Audio Void, Reverence kisses the cheek of Rislon's mask. Reverence goes to curl up in Lilith fluff, and Rislon wakes Pen up to finish off the third watch with Folmar, before going to sleep again.
Pen and Folmar's conversation starts off a little rockily, though presumably it goes, though the majority of it is eaten by the Audio Void. It's revealed, to Pen's shock, that Margrae and Stella are neither the founders of the Horned Hail, nor are they the only guild masters. Folmar finds the conversation awkward, and it lapses into silence. The awkward kind. Apparently, when Folmar was doing monastic training, he had to read from a book, but the book did things it didn't usually do, i.e. explode, and that is why he often goes home from the guild. The third watch ends, and the party has made it through the night.
The first night on the journey to the Hunt is over,
And that's where Session 35 ends!

Session 34 [youtube link]
Official Description: We head out on the Hunt. Unofficial Description: the Hunt begins! a couple of Campfires, new guy Fox appears.
Previous Session: [link] Previous Recap: [wip]
The party makes some decisions on who they want to bring on their Hunt. Pen invited Nohr, and Merit goes to invite some of the Ship Crew, but they are all busy. Pen goes to Zindelo's to invite Gudule, who they hope to do cool druid things with, but he is also busy. Merit also goes to Leandra's house, which is full of dogs, and Leandra agrees to come.
The guild gathers to set out on the Hunt, and Margrae explains to the party, as this is their first Hunt, what it is. The Hunt is when the guild goes into the woods to hunt stag for the winter to help feed the village. Those who participate get to keep a small portion, and a significant portion of their quarry goes to the less fortunate of Marnshaw.
Margrae ensures all of the Hunting party has horses for travel, and the Hunting party sets out for the Hunt. Some townspeople come to see them off, well-wishing the folks who bring back food for them. (Merit is uneasy about even well-wishing shouts in his direction, and Pen is uneasy riding a horse. Pen's horse is also uneasy about being ridden by Pen. Nohr is also nervous about his situation in general.) They exit Marnshaw. Rislon plays the lute as he rides, which is impressive. Stella and Margrae are riding double, which is adorable. A new figure on horseback joins their parade, but the party doesn't particularly notice, as they are pretty tired. Reverence and Rislon flirt a bit, and Rislon mentions that the Hunting grounds they are going to are of personal family significance to Margrae. He says it's a strange place, where the deer aren't expecting much.
Around midday, the Hunting party stops and eats lunch. It's still winter and cold, so Reverence and Merit curl up in a blanket and fall asleep sitting up. Noah disappears in Lilith fluff. Campfire is back, and we see the face of the man who joined the Hunting party partway through the morning, Samuel Fox, who can be seen at this [link]. Margrae and Samuel seem very friendly, and she introduces him as a cleric who helps them on the Hunt. He's very cheerful! Rislon wakes Merit and Reverence up as they prepare to continue on their way. Merit wakes Noah and attempts to help Noah out from Lilith's fluff.
The rest of the afternoon is on horseback, and the Hunting party stops for the night, and there is another Campfire.
The party forms a cuddle pile near the fire to keep warm, Pen squeezing in beside Rislon before Reverence could get close. Rislon asserts that his whole getup is very warm. He also has multiples of the same outfit, to keep his Look, as does the rest of the party, aside from Pen, who just has the one outfit, really. Rislon reveals that he has a fur coat underneath his robe thing, for practicality. Rislon is a mystery wrapped in so many layers. Margrae and Stella are cuddling, it is adorable.
Watches are sorted out, and Pen and Merit both fall asleep in Lilith's fluff. Reverence falls asleep concerningly close (if she weren't a tiefling) to the fire, and also coincidentally next to Rislon.
And that's where Session 34 ends!

Session 86: Final Fantasy Advent Children [youtube link]
Official Description: We kill some more dudes. We're still very cool and strong. Unofficial Description: combat continues, Duck Man wakes up, boss form 2.
Previous Session: [Link] Previous Recap: [Link]
We continue the combat this session, picking up immediately after Adelaide has stabbed Mallard and he has woken up. There are, at the start of the session, six guards, and Mallard facing the party, who has allied with Adelaide.
Once again, this episode is full of combat, and the extended round-by-round combat recap is at this [link]!
The party attempts to go down some stairs. The initiative order is: Adelaide, Reverence, Guards, Noah (then Lilith), Merit, Pen, Mallard. The party eventually makes it down the stairs, and does a good deal of damage to Mallard before he even sits up. Noah, when Mallard does stand up, does not recognize Mallard.
Mallard removes the blood sword from his face, and asks just what is going on. He summons a dark metal halberd to his hand and casts Branding Smite.
Adelaide drinks a guard to almost-death, and Pen's Moonbeam finishes the poor guy off. Lilith kills another guard, bringing the total guards alive to four of the original ten, though two of these cower in a corner, very afraid of what is going on.
Merit shoots Mallard with Devil's Tongue, which may enable him to locate Mallard, but Merit is then Frightened for one minute by a spell that Mallard casts.
The party brings Mallard's health down fairly swiftly, with Pen landing the final hit with Blight, bringing him to zero. However, as this happens, Mallard does not die. Instead, the crystal in the floor cracks open and releases a green light that pours into Mallard, who gets up and tells the party they're "in for it now." The eye not covered by an eye patch is now green as the crystal, and he emanates the same green light. His new character icon is pretty cool, and can be found at this [link].
The next turn in combat is Mallard's, and that is where Session 86 ends!

Session 85: The Crystal Chamber [youtube link] The Official Description: We kill some dudes. We're very cool and strong. The Unofficial One: The duck man sleeps, Adelaide is hot, hoo boy thats a lotta combat
Previous Session: [link] Previous Recap: [link]
We open mid combat, to Pen discovering what is under the floor. It turns out there is a man[character art link] under the floor! Unfortunately, he does not seem to be a duck. He does have an eyepatch, however. The battle map is very cool, and green. Omerus Mallard seems to be sleeping, and is guarded in the cool green room by four guards.
The walls are spiky, and the floor is green crystal, the room is octagonal, like the room above it, and divided into quarters by lines of green crystal that run into a large circle on the floor beneath Mallard in the centre. Unsure if the green crystal is similar/related to the red crystal that the heart on the floor of the upper room is made of. The background of Mallard's Icon is dark purple, which possibly means Things for Noah, as his background is light purple. (Stellaria and Kilan's backgrounds were dark blue.) (Chance says he doesn't know of any dudes that are still alive in Noah's backstory.)
We jump back into combat, to recap all of which would take a good deal more space, so please go to this [link] to see all the cool combat recap. The short version is here in this post!
The party gradually fights their way down into the green lower room, Reverence leaving the upper room on fire behind them. The whole of combat this session takes 7 rounds, which at 6 seconds per round, makes 42 seconds for three hours of play. In this time, Adelaide tears a guard's throat out, and the party kills 4 guards in total, of the original ten. Some lore things were discussed, including who Chance thinks Mallard is in relation to Noah. He doesn't think he's Noah's dad, but he might be someone named Catherine's dad. It is also mentioned that Adelaide is not undead.
When the party finally gets down into the green room, except for Reverence, who comes in last so that she does not light every one on fire, Adelaide decides to stab the sleeping Mallard, who may or may not be possessing some Possessed Guards, in the eyepatch. Mallard wakes up with a scream, and that is where the session ends!

Session 83: Dost Thou Wish To Step? [youtube link]
the Official Description: We meet with Adelaide. the unofficial one: Adelaide! Lots of questions for Adelaide. So many questions.
Previous Session: [link] Previous Recap: [link]
(For the extended questions, please follow this [link]!)
In their camp in the woods outside of Thiebaut, Pen inspects Hector, and the contents of Hector, by emptying him of his contents, which are... slimy. Reverence's love of coin outweighs her distaste for the ...slimyness of the money. They wait for Adelaide to show up, but when they don't, a few of them go to sleep, namely Noah, who intends to wear his sleep mask, but it slips off and Noah, for once, actually sleeps, the poor guy. They sleep in shifts, Merit exploring the woods around him, and the rest of the night passes by fairly uneventfully. The sun rises, and Pen makes a friendship bracelet out of leaves and nature for Adelaide. It is deduced that eggs are almost the only food that Merit cant communicate with, and sea creatures have bubbly accents. The day passes uneventfully, and night falls.
Pen mentions that Adelaide visited them the other night in mist form, and the party discuss whether or not they can trust Adelaide not to just get guards to go after them, and how long Thaleia and Vivian can remain in that plane unchanged.
Around midnight, a fog rolls in. (Also the train, in the Real Life.) And there's Adelaide, right behind Merit, the Drama! They still make Merit's ears ring, and Merit, while the rest of the group is generally unimpressed by the drama, acts like a cat with its hackles up. Pen offers the friendship bracelet, and Reverence and Noah heavily imply that Adelaide should take the bracelet. Adelaide accepts the bracelet, it's cute, Pen smiles.
Then the questions start. The party asks Adelaide a lot of questions. Almost a solid hour of questions. I have recapped the questions in more depth, but that ended up being over 1k words. So if you'd like those go [here]! The shorter version is this:
They ask a lot of questions, and with the help of Pen's Rope Of Truth they deduce a few key facts. Adelaide cannot answer some questions, seemingly because they are under some sort of spell. Adelaide says they operate on loopholes, and that is why they can hide truths from Mallard and the guards, as well as help the party as much as they have. They mention that they are not themself during the day, and that they only have moments of clarity during it, prompting Reverence to ask if they're a vampire. Eventually they figure out that yes, Adelaide is a vampire, but no, unlike Reverence's smut novels, they do not have sex powers. Adelaide and Thaleia grew up together and were at one point more than friends. Adelaide stresses that they may have to fight against them, and that while they don't want to, they would be a very difficult enemy to fight.
In Merit's own words: "To recap proper, we'll kill the man, but probably tomorrow night."
They decide that Adelaide will return the next night, by which time the party will likely have a plan more fleshed out than "we just do it." Adelaide leaves, after an awkward group hug between Pen, Adelaide, and Noah, walking off into the night.
That's all for this session, and the game will pick back up next time in Session 84!

Session 84: Vampire Sex Powers [link] the Official description: We’re all horny for Adelaide. the unofficial one: pasketti plans, vampire hot, badassery occurs. Previous Session: [link] Previous Recap: [link]
Our party apparently planned much while we were gone, and seems to have cooked up something offscreen. It’s spaghetti. They’re just. Throwing spaghetti at walls. (The spaghetti is their plans. Metaphorically.) Adelaide shows up after they’ve all rested up, and the party asks them a smattering of spaghetti questions, from “can you be charmed” to “can you breathe/can we make you tiny and put you in a jar”. The answer to both of these is a soft no. Reverence does some badass shit. No, really, badass. She casts dispel magic and rolls a natural 20 and is badass. Dominate Monster is dispelled and according to Adelaide, it seems to have worked. Adelaide is very enthusiastic about using this newfound freedom to kill Mallard. A bit more spaghetti is thrown around, and Adelaide asks how much Lilith weighs. Pen knows Lilith weighs 1000lbs, about half a tonne. Adelaide hands their coat to Noah, rolls up their sleeves and then bare-handed picks. Lilith. Up. Everyone is incredibly attracted to Adelaide. For obvious reasons. In game and out. Can you blame them? Look at that vampire. Reverence texts Rislon to ask if vampires have sex powers. Rislon says no, despite what Reverence’s smut novels say. Rislon says he has all the sex powers. (Rislon is wrong. Adelaide has sex powers. They have rolled up sleeves and fangs.) Adelaide picks up Lilith, and then turns into a swarm of bats. The bats are very large. The bats pick up a surprised Lilith and fly away. The party gives Lilith reassuring thumbs up. Noah gets ratted by Pen, and goes in Merit’s pocket. Pen becomes a rat, and goes in Reverence’s pocket. They are now Nat and Pat. Or Nat and Gnat. Reverence and Merit, not rats, but carrying rats, dimension door into the throne room [Map art link], where they catch a handful of guards off guard by surprise. Adelaide crashes through a window, it is a badass image. Combat start! [combat start link] Reverence whips her cloak of Daggers in a very cool fashion. Merit draws Devil’s Tongue for the first time in combat. Delta Mentions that it is the first time he’s drawn it in combat, and I am Suspicious. Adelaide pulls a sword out of their arm and it’s made out of blood and it’s Awesome. Reverence casts a spiritual weapon flail. It’s also the first time we see Hellstar in combat! It makes things hot enough to cook on! Ralishaz-flavoured fire is monochrome grey. Reverence is doing a lot of badass things this episode. Including shrugging at the souls of the damned crawling at her. Noah lassos and sticks a fork in a guard. Otherwise, combat is pretty typical, other than suggesting they throw rat!Noah real hard at a guard to break polymorph at the start(they don’t), and being very glad that Adelaide isn’t fighting them. Mid-combat, Adelaide tells the gang that there should be a mechanism in the throne somewhere that will lead them down to where Mallard sleeps. With a little investigating, Pen finds the button, causing the floor to drop out from underneath a good deal of both the party and the guards. Pen gets a brief look at the room under the floor, and they notice that it is green.
And that’s where we end Session 84!
