Mexico City
Accomodations We stayed in an AirBnB in Condesa. Worked out well. Lively neighbourhood, but not too noisy. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby
Getting Around We mostly Uber’ed. Super easy, affordable and less sketchy than cabs. Install the app and set it up before you go (if you haven’t already).
We also walked a ton. There’s so much to see. They have a bike share program. Anna wasn’t really up for that, but it may be your speed
We took the Metro a few times. SO CHEAP (30 cents), fast, esp at rush hour. I’ve heard it can be sketchy, but I didn’t encounter anything like that.
Sights FYI: Most museums are closed on Mondays and free on Sundays.
MAP
Fave museum. Really great folk art https://www.tripadvisor.ca/Attraction_Review-g150800-d1150578-Reviews-Museo_de_Arte_Popular- Mexico_City_Central_Mexico_and_Gulf_Coast.html
Casa Azul/Frida Kahlo Museum
Super cool, and in a great neighbourhood to explore (Coyoacan) Make sure to book a ticket. It fills up! https://www.museofridakahlo.org.mx/en/the-blue-house/
Teotihuacan
Second tallest pyramid in the world. We got there on a bus, but you can book a tour. Try to get there EARLY by 9am, to beat the crowds and heat
Great museum on-site
Palacio Bellas Artes
Absolutely beautiful art deco building, with amazing murals and touring art exhibits (we saw a Kandinsky exhibit)
Anthropology Museum
Awe-inspiring architecture and phenomenal collection. Nice market out front
Temple Mayor & Zocalo
Worth checking out although not my favourite
La Perla
Cabaret & drag show. Only open Friday and Saturday, make sure to RSVP through Facebook https://www.facebook.com/cabaret.laperla/
Food
ElCardenal
The fanciest meal we had, and it wasn’t that pricey and it was so fucking delicious
We went to the San Angel location, but I think Palma is the classic one

Street food: a very good, VERY POPULAR street food sandwich
It was a chaquilles/Milanese sandwich and it was delicious and we were in line for an hour.
It’s in Condesa. corner of Av Tamaulipas and Ethan Reyes: https://goo.gl/maps/VENwrSM4xqM2
