Never be afraid to show your culture and your identity thru your art, especially if some people wants to water it down (purposefully or not). I don't want to see the most bland made by and for the white kinda shit, i NEED and WANT to see more people being proud of who they are and to celebrate it so confidently with pretty art.

i know I brought this up 7 billion times but holy shit I just got reminded of that time I got told that my fursona should try cottagecore style because their white friend doesn't relate to Salem's fashion sense.

it was relatively a nice message but that last part was kind of a gut punch because it made me have a big realization that a lot of white people/white queers will see art that celebrates black identity and will most likely ignore it or only want to see more if it conforms to their own aesthetics.

i know a majority of it is heavily subconscious and not malicious at all, but it still hurts in some way that POC/queers of color cannot really celebrate themselves or even be in these spaces without masking or watering down their culture to be more digestible to a white audience.

About Commissions

TLDR: I encourage you all to remind me in Dms if you commissioned me so i can have a better idea of what i have left to do

Now that things have slowed down, let's talk about the elephant in the room

I have got quite a few people who commissioned me and now i have a bajillion persons waiting for art/j

For real though, i need to let you know how i'll be dealing with this: as someone who is an art hobbyist, i don't treat art as seriously as someone who has big art projects and that can be an issue;

So i will now encourage thoses who commissioned me to give a reminder, i will establish a little list of commissions that wasnt completed, it should be around 4-5 persons.

To reassure thoses who thinks i'm being irresponsible, a majority commissioned small things like headshot or chibi commissions (while it wasnt suggested, i am totally okay with this kind of commission) so it piled up until i was out of debt.

Emergency Announcement!

As of today I've basically had it confirmed I've lost my job. I haven't worked in weeks and our operating manager is AWOL. With our owner all but abandoning the store as well. I have little left to assume that the place just isn't going to be open anymore. Unfortunately that does put me in a fairly dire financial crisis waiting to happen. While I try to look for another job, I need to put my efforts elsewhere. I once again need to reach out and ask for help as well: I intend to begin streaming to twitch and creating content full time. Either I can become a full time streamer, or I stream until I find another full time job. This will come in tandem with other content creation I intend to dedicate myself to whilst streaming.

Hi! Saw ur comms post and I have a question: do you work off of written descs at all or do u prefer art refs? I can maybe do bad sketches of the char (a dragonborn), but I've never found a dollmaker that I really like to do basic refs with, so it's rn just a text desc..

Going to reply this, on a post as well, for the sake that it could be asked a lot. I do prefer art refs, like any artist, but i don't mind to work with text desc. its a lot more work but if anyone has the patience and the kindness for it, don't hesitate.

So uh yeah, im in dire need of being commissioned, every euros counts, and i have two weeks to get the value of two fullbody commissions at least. but you dont have to do fullbody comms, id even be happy if you just share, but please help me on this.
