Do women want them? Do fish fear them?

I can see a few girls having a crush on Willa due to her general "princess" aura of sorts, as for fish they fear Willa when she goes fishing. Admiration quickly turns into hidden infatuation with the girls that are around Kamaria. Fish have every right to be afraid of her; she is patient and will wait for the perfect moment.

Most girls who get a crush on Yassin end up having a very short-lived crush due to Yassins failure to reciprocate. Yassin believes that fish are friends, not food.

Do they think cold showers are great or evil?

Willa prefers warm showers however she won't complain if she has to take a cold shower. Cold showers were a status quo for Kamaria, so ever since she was able to have hot showers she vows to NEVER have a cold one again.

Yassin doesn't think passionately about water temperature.

Do they have strong feelings about musical theater?

Regardless of timeline Willa respects musical theatre and likes the ones of the dark comedy genre. Due to Kichea's involvement with the film research club, Kamaria has seen the behind the scenes of musical production and respects all of the backstage workers. (Sometimes she might even donate a large pot of food.) Yassin enjoys the traditional musicals due to the bias of her father and staff members.

a hexbug is a perfect machine. battery just small enough for its fragile little plastic housing. the motor inside vibrates to give the illusion of life, but only for the absurd task of shuffling around a flat surface randomly. oftentimes it flips over, unable to right itself, a perfect mimickry of the humble beetle. and you can build little racetracks for them. no notes. i love you hexbug.

I don't know what king candy would be more focused on if he met my dulcisregnum ocs, the current theming of the dorm? The fact that the trio are humanoid cybugs or the fact that they carry the name "Von Schweetz".

I have the urge to yap so I'll yap about Valerie. Even though I do not like Ralph breaks the internet I have realized that it has use for creating character foils. What comes to mind specifically is how in the first movie Turbo/King Candy's actions were shown to be bad with the appropriate reason and consequence for his actions by the narrative. However, in the sequel all of this is thrown away for Vanellope and her character is praised for being different and "going for what she truly wants". There is a lot I can get into about the butchering of this franchise but that's for another day. But this all comes back to Valerie because she is twisted from Vanellope in the second movie and the hypocrisy between Vanellope and Turbo also translates to Valerie and Temperence. There is still a lot I want to do with Valerie but I'm still coming up with ideas

I just found your blog and read the lore post with their backstories so I'm curious, what's Terrence, Temperence, and Vincent's relationship with Mike and Willa Gumdrop? Since Mike took them in and rehabilitated them, do they sorta see him as a trusted guardian or a father figure? If they do then do they see Willa as a little sister?

(Sorry if you've already answered this before, I'm new here.)

I just want to say, I never thought I would get an ask related to the complicated backstory I made for these characters so thank you for indulging me ::3.

Okay so the thing with Mike is that he has always been one to do ANYTHING in order to have power of any kind. So he only saw the trio as a means to an end and made that clear behind closed doors. Knowing that and experiencing his “treatment” the trio do not like Mike and hardly respect him. 

As for Willa the trio took notice of Mike’s neglectful parenting and bonded with Willa over their pretty neglected childhoods. The trio does see Willa as a little sister of sorts; however Willa personally prefers the label of cousin instead.

i need to address this matter. king candy fans and turbo fans are often two different groups of people. i understand why. but i will change this with my truth: pls know that turbo transitioned into king candy. turbo loved being that candy fucker. and king candy is still turbo who liked to sit in his stupid spamton alley and watch nascar on a shitty little tv. king candy boozes all day and throws shit at his massive flatscreen tv and laughs really hard when it falls on sour bill and then he immediately buys a new one. turbo got really jealous of the beat game anime girls in the arcade and hated them irrationally because they got to wear cute outfits. turbo could have done anything with the king candy persona but he chose to do THAT. because that is what was in his soul.

So I have used references in determining how I create character designs for my candyfolk ocs. Then I thought about how genetics would work. Using Mike and Willa as a reference the dots on the side are the colours that would be genetically passed down, some of the colours would be recessive while others would be dominant. I use the different colours of the candy (from the box) as a reference. More under the cut

Its a bit more complicated with Edon and the trio + chewy but it can still be traced.
