I’ve been doing some thinking overnight, and I think i worked out where my issues are coming from. I’m here to sus out fundamentalism, snark on cringe and criticise high control groups like the iblp. most of you are here to snark on expressions of Christianity that don’t fit with your worldview. you’re out here levelling criticism about the fundies that could literally be applied to most of Christendom - that is, the portion of Christendom which doesn’t fit with your culture, social values and political stance. it’s lazy modernist antitheistic commentary. if I wanted to hear commentary like that, I’d just walk outside my house and speak with a random person on the street. that’s not what I’m here for. I feel like i’m going to become an untouchable pariah in the community like MH if I stick around, because I’ve been wondering if i should start up disagreements that i know most of you guys won’t be interested in. anyway.

Along with my personal speculation that Jana and Lawson are either talking or already courting... I think that we will have a few pregnancy announcements soon. Probably (definitely) not from any of the people who just gave birth in the past 4 months, but some certain other people. I give it 2-3 months before we start to get more announcements.

I think Kendra and Lauren will both be pregnant again by August/September though.

And I definitely still think that Lauren Caldwell and James Duggar are precourting or something.

I genuinely want to listen to what all people have to say, and I want to critically engage with Allie’s content, but I cannot stand more than 5min of her voice.

I guess Jinger is taking a break from staged photos of Felicity in her Instagram to endorse BlazeTV pundits. I wonder if she got paid for this? Or is she sucking up to Allie in hopes for more clout? Hmmm 🤔

     Can I ask ya’ll what your attitude is toward religion as a whole? I don’t think I’d be out of line in saying I find the fundie tumblr community is generally disapproving of the beliefs and lifestyles of the fundies we follow, and I was wondering how that might differ from your views on Christians in general, or religious people in general, or fundamentalists of any religion in general. Do you have worse opinions of some religions or denominations than others? Do you feel the same about all organized religions, or all Abrahamic religions? How do you feel about overall religious belief?

The publicity seeking is the worst part to me. I don’t necessarily think that praying for a child to be raised from the dead is always bad thing, though i don’t love the way they’re doing this, but it is serving to bring a lot of publicity to a church and music ministry which already has a lot of influence in the Christian world, and is always looking for more. even putting the GFM aside, their music org has artists who will quite possibly literally make money off this attention. I’m quite suspicious about the motivations behind the public campaign. nonetheless i am following it closely and curiously.

It’s scary how many people believe in the Bethel resurrection. I hope they just think she’s on life support

I hope so too. Either way I want that GFM taken down though because Bethel doesn’t deserve to receive that money.
