Hey all, in order to give time to our wonderful last-minute pinchhitter and have everyone get their complementary works at the same time, we're going to delay go-live until October 21.

Primary and complementary creators, you may continue to make minor edits up until the new go-live; if you make any major edits, please let the mods know.

Complementary works checkpoint

It's time for complementary work check-ins! Complementary creators, please get in touch with the mod team about your progress; you can DM one of us individually or email dsc6dbbmod@gmail.com. We'll also be reaching out to you individually at the contact you put in your sign up, and you can simply reply to that message.

If we don't hear from you, we will start looking for a pinchhitter.

Instructions for submitting complementary works

Log into AO3 and go to our collection.

Select "Post to Collection" and fill out the form.

Make sure the "Post to Collections/Challenges" field is filled in as "ds_c6d_bigbang_2024". This ensures your work is submitted to the moderated/unrevealed collection and isn't visible to anyone except you and the mods.

If you're not familiar with how to post works on AO3, this FAQ will walk you through it.

If you want to link to your primary creator's piece in the "inspired by" box, either they or the mods can give you the right URL.

Then preview your work to make sure you're happy with how it looks, and click "post". The mods will review your work and either accept it into the collection or get back to you if there are any issues.

If you want to edit your work after submission and can't find it, go to your AO3 dashboard and select "Statistics". This page should list all your works, including the ones in unrevealed collections.

Primary works folks, today’s the day! Primary works must be submitted by the end of the day today (anywhere) in order to receive a complementary work.

If you need a little extra time to get it back from beta, fight with formatting, etc, now is the time to reach out to mods—we can give you an extra day if you let us know before the deadline, but we won’t grant extensions once you’ve already missed the deadline.

Woohoo, it's the Eleventh of March, and it's time for the 16th annual due South/Canadian Six Degrees Big Bang!

Primary sign ups are for 20,000 word fics or podfics, or equivalent art/vids/craft/etc, created for due South or any other Canadian Six Degrees fandom. There is no cutoff date for signing up - sign-ups stay open until the August deadline.

We'll be having checkpoints and live chats on our discord server, and we also encourage you to use the server outside of officially scheduled chats.

Signups for the 16th annual due South/Canadian Six Degrees Big Bang are coming soon! The Big Bang celebrates fic in the 20k range, or equivalent art, podfic, vids or craft of any type.

The final due South/C6D 2023 Big Bang deadline is tomorrow, October 2nd! Please post all your complementary and additional primary works to the collection on AO3 by midnight in the latest timezone on October 2nd.

Although you can continue to edit between posting and the go-live date of October 9th, all works must be complete at the time of posting. "Complete" means a finished work that's ready to be published without further editing or beta.
