she had dramatically draped herself across her alters lair, but ... pow had taken to long to show up, so zow ended up falling asleep. she's still there, curled up in a ball and hair a bit of a mess now, primed for either mercy or for a prank. the choice is yours, gal.

He hadn’t meant to be late, and already had an apology prepped for his counterpart, but, of course, by the time he showed up, she was asleep. Not that he knew that when he finally parked the car in his lair.

“Sorry about that Zow– there was this thing downtown super annoy…” Oh.

She was curled in a bright pink ball on the cushy leather couch. Her hair was a bit of a mess but, it wasn’t like it looked that bad. She could fix that with a brush.

If Pow was a kinder person, maybe he’d have woken her up by shaking her shoulder or something less… rude.

But he already had the air horn and nothing was gonna stop him.

She’d do the same to him.

“You know how curses are, it’s no big deal. My uncle had it before me, and his oracle friend Dudely has been giving me tips on how to live with it.” Her hand dropped too her side, and she fell in step with the alchemist. “Supposedly they’ve got all kinds of new foods this year, I’m pretty stoked.”

Gal was curious about those new rides, of course.

She’d heard they were for thrill seekers, and she was a thrill seeker.

“You know what, let me just. . .” She moved to nudge Varian out of the way, she could push the heavy kart faster than he could, anyway.

“Come on, take a little credit, Wordgirl! You just shredded a whole robot army like it was nothing, gloat a little. It was pretty impressive.” Speaking as someone who had super strength himself, Dudepow was kind of the authority on ‘impressive’.

Especially in the strength department.

Wow, he offended a pretty girl by not having watched an anime, that was definitely a first for Dudepow. He just hadn’t had time! His anime phase had begun when he was twelve and that was the same year he’d been bestowed with the Dudepow ring. After that it was game over for his social life.

“I dunno, maybe you’ll just have to make sure I sit down and watch it sometime, yeah?” He laughed sheepishly, hands on his own hips, mimicking her.
