I dream of writing... Fanfic is the muse that inspires me to write and is the medium through which I process life. Writing is the thing that bursts forth in spouts of inspiration and then escapes me 99.5% of the time. Ideas, introspection, and contemplation are the names of my game. I consume and hyperfixate on old media. Currently hyperfixating on: Harry Potter books, Harry Potter fanfiction, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Battle. Queer writer with ADD.

lucius malfoy who tells draco to befriend harry potter. lucius malfoy who does not anticipate the consequences of his actions. lucius malfoy who finds himself sitting through letter after letter about potter's shimmering eyes and his beautiful hair until he finally cracks. lucius malfoy who sends dobby to keep harry away from hogwarts because maybe if he's not around draco will stop bloody talking about him.

Contrary to [my brains] popular belief, there is such a thing as being overexposed to something I am hyperfixating on. Like, rationally I can recognize that I need a break from my hyperfixation, but it's pretty hard to take a step back when I've centered the last couple of months of my life around this thing.

Writers should NOT feel guilty about:
Skipping a day of writing.
Not having a perfect first draft.
Partaking in sinister, arcane rituals for inspiration.
Working at their own pace.
Enlisting demons and/or helpful spirits to aid them with editing.

unpopular opinion somehow: Aberforth had every right to call Albus out. People who say Aberforth hates Gellert for no reason would be wrong. It is HEAVILY implied Albus neglected BOTH his siblings during that summer, and with Gellert being the focus of Albus's attention, Aberforth would hate him for taking it away: people forget Aberforth was still young (15) at the time of 1899. Young children do not respond well to neglect... this is common sense I fear. I will defend Aberforth's choices to call Albus out until I die.

How J.K. Rowling felt after basing Snape on her chemistry teacher (who she quite incorrectly thought hated her) thinking he would never see it (he was good friends with her mother, loved the series, and wrote magical beast fanfiction because he — and I have many sources for this — was a mega-nerd, autistic, multi-talented, innately wizard-ish Welshman).
I looked into this guy because I was wondering what he could have possibly done to get Snape, of all characters, based on him. The only thing I could find was that apparently J.K. Rowling took his autistic socializing as “he doesn’t like me” and that this guy was actually a really nice person. Like, unusually so. I went to read up on it again for the sake of this post and had a bunch of “Oh, that’s right; he totally did have a restroom with disabled access installed in the science department for J.K. Rowling’s T.A. mother who was ill” moments, some “Oh, that’s right; he totally was a pillar of his community who went around doing welfare checks on people with violent exes even when he was on his deathbed” moments, some, “Oh yeah, he totally was a feminist who lobbied for women’s rights on a regular basis (my uncle who likes Harry Potter joked that this is why J.K. Rowling didn’t like him)” moments, and some “Oh, yeah; he totally did used to compare his chemistry class to potion making and wizards when kids got bored and sing about it in Welsh with wizard robes on randomly throughout and at the end of the year like a freaking nerd years before Harry Potter was even conceived” moments.
TL;DR: This has been a J.K. Rowling are you fucking kidding me post and also Snape is a feminist by proxy; I don’t make the rules.

GUYS NO STOP. I JUST SAW A VIDEO ON TIKTOK AND IT WAS SAYING "That one character everyone loves and idolises and romanticises but you detest them bc they're horrible people etc etc". AND I SAW. I SAW A COMMENT SAYING "JAMES POTTER" !!!!!!! JAMES POTTER!!!!! LIKE WHAT THE HELL????
So yes i know people who aren't in the marauders fandom don't love him the way we do. But i wasn't in the marauders fandom when i started liking him.
Firstly, he was just a boy when he bullied Snape and even though that's a horrible thing to do and i don't support it in any way, sirius and remus told harry that james was sorry he was being a jerk and that he regretted his actions.
Secondly, this is just a speculation, but snape did hung out with mulciber and avery, something that he and lily often fought about bc they were horrible people and blood purists and i think they had even called lily mudblood. So who's to say that he wasn't like that too and that the marauders only bullied him bc he was like that? Because as far as we know, they didn't bully other people. Again, I don't support bullying but if sm bullied another person because he was acting racist i wouldn't give a damn.
Thirdly, EVERYONE says what a nice person James was, except for Snape. Yes the person that is obsessively, possessively and toxicly in love with James' gf, later wife. So, are we going to listen to Sirius and remus, two loved characters who only wish for the end of war and are kind, or snape, the guy who bullies his students IN HIS THIRTIES (!!) and is a blood purist, hates james because 'he stole lily from him' , called the 'love of his life' a mudblood, sold said love of his life to Voldemort and then joined the order just bc he felt bad he's the reason lily died. Like ??????????!!!
Fourth, james bullied lily's best friend. If he wasn't a good person, she would have never ended up loving him and marrying him.
Also, the most hilarious part is a reply to this by a user named "Helios" and agreed with the person that said this about James. Yes this is a reference to "Dear reader" by calamitoustide
