So, a FNAF!Au where Merlin is the night guard and the souls inside the animatronics are the souls of his long-lost friends. What do we think about this?

So, probably there are many posts like this, but the pain I feel everytime I think about merlin and his life post camelot is something I can't describe.

Because yes, he grieved for everyone, but now imagine him in modern days. Thousands of years later, he probably spent ages drawing the faces of lost friends of Gaius, Gwen, Arthur, and even Morgana, because even if he doesn't want to, he forgets, he slowly starts forgetting about the smells in Camelot, the way of old clothes felt in his body, and most importantly, he starts forgetting voices and faceses.

He forgets how Arthur used to yell his name, the routine of hearing "MERlin" is soon in a very deep part of his brain that he can't reach anymore, the laughter of the round table, the parenting feeling of being with Gaius.

All of it, forgotten in history and his own draws, because even his memory doesn't know them anymore.

I imagine a spiderman merlin, and I need to read something about it, like the spiderwebs are made of magic so their color are gold, even his colors I imagine to be white and gold? or red and gold for the pendragon symbol.

and I imagine that this would be in our present, so maybe merlin sees the superheroes and in the need of want to make something after all those years he creates this persona of his, and obviously that's when arthur reincarnate, so merlin not only have to help him to adapt to everything in this future but also maintain his identity a secret.

(that arthur of course knows since he already knows that merlin has magic and seeing a hero who uses magic then he connects two and two, but he doesn't tell merlin just to indulge him about the secret)

obviously, the canon event for merlin is the death of arthur, that's not even a question.

and there is one that I think is so cool that I don't know if many people notice, and it's the foreshadowing of jake being toruk makto, because the toruk its an ikran, a gigant one yes, but an ikran. and before we learn that if an ikran attacks you, it's because it chose you. so toruk attacking jake while he was with neytiri isn't just so we learn the existence of this beast, but also to let us know that toruk has chosen jake.

and let's be honest, jake is the favorite of eywa, please. he came into pandora, and eywa was like, yeah, that's my man.

I will never shut up about the POWER that merlin, arthur and morgana could had if they only trusted each other a little more (a lot more in the case of morgana)

but, listen, arthur could had been a king that had sorcerers working for and with him, merlin being the court sorcerer and the diplomatic link between camelot, druids and other forms of magic, and morgana being the high priestess, JUST IMAGINE

this without taking into account that if arthur knew of magic and allowed it, kara wouldn't have to die and mordred wouldn't betray arthur (because, let's be honest, before kara mordred did everything for arthur and especially merlin to like him)

not that harry is the "fun parent" but I imagine he just lets his kids experience everything he would have wanted at that age without realizing it's not particularly safe or child friendly which is why draco sometimes has to play the overprotective parent role
