It's actually bewildering how much people hate trans women. It's not just people being cartoonishly transphobic. Touch grass you tell the online transfem, but she leaves her house and people scorn her. They grab their children and pull them away from her. They furrow their brow and spit in her direction. They whisper unkind words under their breath, sometimes heard and sometimes not. They see her and turn around desperately looking for another way out of the grocery store. The world hates trans women and even the ones that aren't cartoonishly evil avoid us like the plague. We are blamed for everything evil in the world and so when people see us they think of evil.
