Super Casual Mini Spells
Need to fall back in love with your craft? If I’ve learned anything, it’s the little moments that count. Learning to make small, everyday things magical is an art all witches can benefit from. Not to mention, being on tumblr often surrounds users with elaborate, expensive altars which, while totally fine, aren’t always realistic.
Making everyday activites a part of your craft is incredibly helpful for:
   - getting back into witchcraft after a long break or hiatus
   - beginners who don’t feel ready for a formal spell
   - witches with mental disabilities who don’t have the energy for a formal spell  but still want to continue their practive
    - anyone!!! literally anyone!! everyone !!!!!
Here’s some ideas I had! Feel free to add yours on too :)
  much love, @nature-is-punk
Tumblr media
Casual Kitchen Spells
-Stir your coffee/tea to the right on days you want a boost of extrovertedness, bravery, and confidence.
-Stir your coffee/tea to the left on days you want to focus on yourself. I like to do this before I paint or take a test!
-Envision your goals and wants each day as you make breakfast. Even if it’s just you pouring cereal and picturing an A on that test, it’s a small bit of mindfullness that can make a big difference.
-Mumble or just think of a sentence or two to serve as a little spell, repeating it three times. Then take three bites/sips to cast it! Bonus points if the food you’re eating coordinates with the spell - i.e,  eggs for new growth
-Eating oatmeal? Draw sigils with your spoon!
-My mom always said it was good luck to kiss the tea bag before you brew it…Not sure about this one, but might as well!
Casual Bedroom + Bathroom Spells
-Coordinate the colors you wear with your want for the day! Personally, my favorite way to do this is with underwear and socks, since I don’t exactly fancy wearn head to toe orange on days I want to be a bit more positive.
-Leave a few second pause before your feet first touch the ground in the morning, let yourself just have a little moment to dedicate your renewed energy before taking your first steps.
Make sigils with your:
Moisturizer
Foundation
Lip Balm
Sunscreen
-Each time you run the brush through your hair, repeat a little spell for personal growth and health! Clean your brush frequently so there is no old hair and ‘old energy’ adulterating the spell.
-Envision anything negative or toxic in your life being scraped off your skin each time you wash your hands.
-Shower magic is the absolute BEST! Enchant all your soaps so each wash gives you a little boost!
Casual Workplace Spells
-Draw sigils with your eraser on your assignments, portfolio, resume, etc.,
-Consistently churning out sub-par work? Try washing your pens off in the bathroom sink, imagining the water cleansing any sluggish energy. If anyone asks, you were eating something sticky and it got on your pens.
-When going up or down stairs, stick to the right side to attract new friends and maintain confidence.
Stick to the left side to focus on your own path and self.
Casual Misc. Spells
-If walking down the street a distance, come up with a little spell chant. Each step, say a word or piece of the spell.
-Enchanting your shoes - basic, but a must have. I have each of my shoes echanted for the places I generally wear them to–my heels are specialized for beauty and confidence, while my everyday sneakers for resilience and positivity.
- Find a spider in the house? Get a cup, and as you take it outside, explain to it that you could have easily killed it because it was in your home, but you benevolently let him go! Ask a question–the spider will answer within 7 days! Be on the lookout for signs.
             - This only works with spiders you find in your house! Not outside.
Always be on the lookout for tiny signs. Finding the magic in little things is important.

Reminder: Tumblr and TikTok and many other social media sites are great for being introduced to different aspects and elements in witchcraft, but please also do your own research and use common sense (AND BUILD YOUR OWN OPINION) Even if its from my posts please fact check it and research it on your own because us witchblrs are usually still learning too

Where did all the witches go?
I feel like the witchy side of tumblr is nearly dead compared to when i first started this side blog years ago. Idk where everyone went, maybe the witchy community moved to instagram or tiktok?
This could just be a "me" problem. I've had this blog for years, with several hiatuses, and each time I come back my feed shrinks drastically cuz the witches I follow slowly stopped posting.
Idk if witchblr is truly disappearing and i need to move to a new platform, or if I just need to find new witchy accounts on here that regularly post things? Not quite sure what to do.
Idk im just rambling at this point. But please reblog if you have any suggestions (or if you just wanna be like "hey I'm an active witchy blog right here!")
Anyways. Love y'all. Stay safe in all this 2021 chaos.

A WITCH’S COZY BUTTERNUT WINTER SOUP
This soup is sooooo good! It really puts me in the spirit for yule, and the ending of fall, into the transition of winter. Stir in a clockwise motion to bring cozy vibes into your houses atmosphere and dance to some winter songs to release stagnate energy from a days hard work! P.S. Yule Log Cake recipe coming up in a few day so look out for that !
Ingredients:
1 large butternut squash
1 large yellow onion
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 red pepper
2 cloves garlic
Salt and Pepper
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 sweet potato
3 cups chicken stock
Sprigs of thyme and rosemary
2 (28 oz) cans whole tomatoes
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp cinnamon
½ tsp ground ginger
¼ tsp ground cloves
½ tsp cayenne pepper
Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375 F. Cut your butternut squash in half and scoop out the seeded part. Do the same for your red pepper and sweet potato. Brush with olive oil and season with the spices listed above. Bake for 1 ½ hours.
2. In a deep large pot, cook your onions and garlic until fragrant and translucent. Transfer that into a large food blender and add your tomatoes, pepper, flesh of your butternut squash and the insides of your sweet potato. Blend until very smooth and transfer back into the pot.
3. Add more seasoning to taste, chicken stock, and your sprigs of thyme and rosemary. Bring to a boil over high heat. Then turn it down to a lower heat, cover, and let simmer for at least 30 minutes.
4. Serve with grated parmesan, toasted bread, and laddle into bowls. Enjoy!

Yule ideas for the exhausted witch
After so many of you enjoyed the post about low-energy ways to celebrate Samhain, it is time to share some ideas on how to celebrate Yule without too big of an effort. 2020 was a hard year and everyone deals differently with handling the crazy stuff this year threw at us. You are valid and your faith isn’t less important or less worthy because you can not spend the energy you might want to on the celebration of the solstice. A blessed Yule to all of you!
- As an easy charm for good luck: Tie some tiny bells to a ribbon and wind it around the handle of your door. Who ever enters will be cleansed of their negative energies and the sound of bells will invite prosperity and luck inside your home.
- Treat yourself to some sweets. Doesn’t matter if self-baked or store-bought, we’re talking of all the delicious treats of the season full of cinnamon (protection, luck), vanilla (friendship, passion), cloves (beauty, love) and ginger (energy, success). Yes, please!
- Give thanks and give back. You don’t need to volunteer for days to show your gratitude. Feed some birds, donate a bit to your local shelter if you have the money, small gestures matter!
- Who needs a big Yule tree? Get yourself some twigs (please don’t just break them off) from an evergreen and place them on your windowsill or inside a pretty vase.
- Solstices are turning points, times of change. Make a list (written or mental) and remember all the things you are grateful for that happened this year. Also note things that you want the new cycle to bring to your life. Keep the list close during the time of the solstice and burn/bury them at the end of The Twelve Nights.
- No energy to decorate your altar? Decorate yourself. Wear green, red, gold or silver colors and jewelry with rubies, garnet, jade, agate or rose quartz.
Have a blessed Yule and feel free to reblog and add to the list!
