One of Cae's OP Mary Sue things is that his beast blood gives him a higher poison tolerance (not immunity, just takes more to kill him) and the ability 2 sniff it out bc heightened senses

So the concept is someone does try to poison Dimi he swaps their glasses/plates under the guise of "you got more than I did :/ gimme :/"

And then later as he's curled up in agony on the bed, he's told "you could have just... said it was poisoned." to which he responds "that's not DRAMATIC enough"

The Lions thinking it's nice that Cae finally feels comfortable enough to take his mask off and eat with them.

And then they see him debone a chicken with his teeth and hands in 3 minutes and go "hey. Actually."
