Nowhera Shaik - A role model for Women

As children we always grow up with the question, what do you want to do when you grow up? Children always try to imitate people who are successful and consider them as role models. A role model is a person who inspires others to be successful. Every successful person has their own story that motivates the younger generation to get inspired. Nowhera Shaik is one such woman who has been the role model for many ambitious women. In her tender age she had managed to give lessons to students. Also, on her own she opened the Islamic school which serves free education to poor students. This step towards the society had awestruck many women to emulate and contribute to society.

           The life journey of Nowhera Shaik is a message to many women who are striving to be successful in their respective careers. She has been patient even in the most frustrating circumstances, despite being manipulated by her adversaries. She is one of the strongest women who knows to wise up even in the worst of the situations. In this big stumbling world most of the women are left out and despite that Nowhera Shaik has been a successful Entrepreneur. She is the founder of Heera Group which has been established in many foreign countries. There will be many societal deterrents especially for women who want to make a successful spot in the business. Even Nowhera Shaik had to cross all these hurdles before she could finally establish her territory. Through her business she has created sources to provide jobs to many unemployed people.

           She is the founder of All India Mahila Empowerment Party (AIMEP). Through this, she wants to bring a change in the nation and create equality among humanity. Nowhera Shaik is a powerful woman who will remain an inspiration for generations of women. Shaik is well known for her simplicity and her appeal towards society has been propitious. Almost each story of Shaik and her mission towards the society has been the inclination for every woman who are endeavoring to enrich the society.

MEP – hope for equality

Women Empowerment is something that needs to be taken care. Without empowering women it is not possible to empower a nation. Men and Women both are equally important for a developed nation.  Unfortunately, in spite of making so many laws and rules for the enhancements of women rights, women are being ill-treated in society. We have to put an end to this, it is possible only when we join hands together. Dr. Nowhera Shaikh a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist, who is also a well-known human activist, has taken a stand against the social evils. All India Mahila Empowerment Party (AIMEP) was established only for this reason. Dr. Nowhera is the president of AIMEP. The AIMEP party was launched in the presence of important personalities like Mohammed Azharuddin (former cricketer and politician), Sania Mirza (tennis player), film stars like Farah khan, Sunil Shetty, Bobby Deol etc.

The All India Mahila Empowerment Party (AIMEP) has been recognized by the Election Commission of India as a national political party with “Diamond” as its election symbol allowing the women to participate in elections irrespective of caste, religion etc. AIMEP had contested all 224 seats in the Karnataka Assembly Elections in April 2018. The party is currently contesting in Hyderabad Telangana Elections 2018. AIMEP is the only party that completely focuses on Women Empowerment. Therefore, it would be lawful if there is a separate party for the sake of women that strives for the betterment of the women, which fights for the justice of women, justice against corruption.  And it comes with a tagline “Justice for Humanity”.

What are the aims and goals of AIMEP?

 As the name itself tells the whole and sole purpose of Mahila Empowerment Party is to provide justice against inequality, corruption etc. The main aim of AIMEP is to see India as a developed economy where the citizens are benefited by the schemes and programs implemented by the government and have a cut on the taxes paid to the government. Also, the Mahila Empowerment Party aims at providing 33% reservation for women in state and parliament legislatures.

Who is Dr. Nowhera Shaik

Dr. Nowhera Shaikh is an Indian Entrepreneur, Politician and Business women. She is the founder and CEO of Heera Group hailing from Tirupati district in Andhra Pradesh, India.

Heera Group is a consortium of twenty companies with its headquarters in Hyderabad.It is spread across India, UAE and other Middle Eastern Countries. Nowhera Shaik is also the founder and President of All India Mahila Empowerment Party (AIMEP) which works under the banner “Justice for Humanity”.

Women in India deal with issues like illiteracy, dowry, female foeticide. The only way to eradicate them is to educate women and make them capable of fighting such issued. Nowhera Shaik’s AIMEP party deals mainly with women empowerment, child labour and gender justice, making women able to overcome such issues. This party was launched on November 16, 2017 to promote the participation of women in Indian politics. She believes that empowering women leads to empowering larger society and thus the nation.

Dr. Shaik is also the trustee of Ismail Educational Trust which provides academic and religious education to more than 1000 girls from the poor and deprived section of the society. She is also an educationist and a philanthropist. She has setup two educational institutions for the poor and the needy. One in her hometown, Tirupati and the other at Chandragiri, Andhra Pradesh which provide free and quality education. The Heera School and College for women at Tirupati, is a free education venture with residential facilities for girls.

Dr.Shaik’s Philanthropic activities also are expanded to the medical field by establishing Heera Mobile Clinic, that provides quality medical services to lakhs of poor and needy villagers across Andhra Pradesh.Dr.Shaik, the President of AIMEP party also contributed Rs. 1 crore to the CM relief fund for the flood victims of Kerala recently.

Nowhera Shaik’s philanthropist activities expanded to the medical field with the Heera Mobile Clinic, that provides quality medical service free of cost to lakhs of poor villagers across Andhra Pradesh.

In 2015, Heera Group launched two of its projects: Heera Foodex and Heeradeals.com. Heera Foodex manufactures, trades and export premium food products, in international market and Heeradeals.com provides an online shopping platform in a range of lifestyle and consumer products for residents of UAE. The group had backed the T10 Cricket League 2017, held during December 14–17, 2017, from Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

All India Mahila Empowerment Party (AIMEP)

The All India Mahila Empowerment Party was launched on 12th November 2017. It was founded by Dr. Nowhera Shaik, an Indian women Entrepreneur and an Educationist who is also the CEO of the Heera Group of Companies.

This party works in different states of India, with national and district level committees.

The motto of this Party is “Justice for Humanity”. AIMEP has been recognized as the National Political Party by the Election Commission of India.

AIMEP had contested for all 224 seats in the Karnataka assembly elections held in April 2018 and is preparing to contest in the parliamentary elections across India.

The main agenda of AIMEP is to empower women and give them their rights. Women in India face many issues related to dowry, female foeticide, illiteracy etc. The only way to eradicate such issues is to educate the women and make them able to fight such issues. In a male-oriented society, women have to fight for their rights and Dr. Shaik has dedicated her party to work on such issues. She demands stringent laws to eradicate the crime against women.

She also believes that political participation is necessary for a woman to uplift her position in the society. This was the main reason behind the formation of the Mahila Empowerment Party.

MEP also deals with Child Labour and Child trafficking issues. Child labor does not allow a child to get educated and this increases the illiteracy rate in the nation. A strong nation can be built by educating all the people to fight for their rights.

Dr. Shaik’s Heera group runs a mobile clinic in the villages of Andhra Pradesh providing counseling on child development and Prenatal Care. It also provides free medical care to millions of people at their doorsteps.

To conclude, AIMEP stands out from all other political parties with their main agenda being Women empowerment and their rights for justice.

ALL INDIA MAHILA EMPOWERMENT PARTY (AIMEP)

Time and again, successive governments and parties proved us that the existing system is not capable enough to bring out a change that is required for the upbringing of women. This realization lead, Nowhera shaikh CEO of a group of companies to form a party solely to focus on the empowerment of women and human rights. As a philanthropist, an entrepreneur, and an educationalist it was a completely different domain to take over, but the awareness of the absence of a system to trigger a change in all aspects overcame the uncertainty.

 AIMEP was launched on 12th November 2017, at ‘The Lalit’ in New Delhi and “Justice for Humanity “as their motto. Moreover, authorized Ms. Shaikh as party’s National President. The party’s main objective is to nurture the rights, safety, welfare of women and children. Its policy’s consists of development, and fostering of the state along with the conservation of equal human rights regardless of caste, sex or religion. To name a few, their manifesto include:

·        Focus on honest and transparent governance

The Election Commission of India has recognized AIMEP as a national political party and allotted “diamond “as its election symbol. It has contested for 224 seats in the Karnataka assembly elections in 2018 and were successful in fielding major part including minorities. Despite different allegations against the party, Dr. Shaikh stood tall in her visions and continues to seek them for the greater good of humanity. AIMEP doesn’t stand out from the rest of the crowd from its objectives and guidelines it proposes to implement. But under her guidance, ensures that its aims and goals are safeguarded beyond the system in existence.

There has been a steady increase in the number of women going out to work, today the woman is financially independent, which gives them the confidence to lead their own lives and build their own identity.

 The changing society has its bearing on politics also recently Dr Nowhera Shaik an entrepreneur turned political person has launched a political party called ‘All India Mahila Empowerment Party’ keeping in mind the changing power dynamics and demand of the society the party has declared 50 percent reservation to the woman while the distribution of ticket in the election. MEP with its promises, agenda, and manifesto, is getting lots of attention and people from every section are joining it. Even though its vote share is low people prefer to join it because of its modern outlook and broad horizon, which accepts everyone and promote the women and the weaker section.

When Dr. Nowhera Shaik national president of MEP announced that the party would be contesting on all the seats of Karnataka state assembly election. The political equation in Karnataka went upside down, after the announcement, while most of the political pundit assumed that the results will be in saffron colors, few also predicted a hung assembly. Dr. Nowhera Shaik a new entrant in politics with a six-month-old party was making headlines. As the news went viral on the social networking sites like Twitter with a trending hashtag i.e., #nowherashaikforcm which means Nowhera Shaik for CM, with the rising popularity of the businesswoman, turned political person brought envy in the rival groups.

The fear of failure made the rivals use unparliamentary words and play unconventional trick to harm Dr. Nowhera Shaik personally and professionally. The local politics took a new turn or preferably a new low when the political rivals of Nowhera Shaik with the help of other political parties dragging Dr. Shaik into the political picture, accusing her of “hatching” a plot jointly with BJP leader to divide the vote bank politics and help BJP form government in Karnataka. But the entrepreneur turned political person and president of MEP party Dr. Nowhera Shaik refuted the charge.

As an Entrepreneur, she is always striving for opportunities to address humanitarian needs without compromising on her beliefs and principles. In politics, she entered with a noble cause to increase the political participation of woman. Nowhera Shaik is a lady with strong determination has dedicated her time, money and energy for a cause of upliftment and empowerment of woman and poor.

The latest row in the controversy stirred up by a new picture being circulated on the social media accusing Nowhera Shaik to be congress agent. Which is as baseless as earlier all other social media generated controversies. But the entrepreneur turned political person and the president of MEP party Dr. Nowhera Shaik refuted all these charges with humor.

On the eve of Independence Day, Dr. Nowhera Shaik declared ‘All India Mahila Empowerment Party’ is going to contest the 2019 Lok Sabha general election with the slogan “Justice for Humanity” the MEP head said, “people are afraid of political parties”. Mahila Empowerment Party gives them the alternative, it is meant to promote the woman political participation in the electoral politics. The MEP national president Dr. Nowhera Shaik said that “Even though the party is known as Mahila Empowerment Party but there is no discrimination within the party neither on gender nor on caste, color or community.”
